The Booze Cruise is always a bit of a bet or gamble as to whether it will happen. This unpredictability is part of what makes the event so exciting! NAC Rocinante! Them naming their FC "Rocinante" is _most likely_ a direct reference the excellent space sci-fi books/show "The Expanse", in which the protagonist crew's ship is named Rocinante, or the nick "Roci". Which is in itself, a direct reference to Don Quixote, whose horse is named Rocinante.

you could use the python, but your other best choice is to wait for the type 8 transporter to release for a credit purchase. Filling all the optional spots with cargo racks, you could carry over 300 tons at a time

....Or you can ally yourself with a local faction(s) and run source and return missions yielding mega-millions, the 50 million credit missions you showcase here, right in your back yard. My "store" is a surface entertainment complex that needs a constant supply of various commodities which is less than 20 lys away! It's a veritable gravy train!

@@abelireviews sadly, after a bit of research it seems that the PTN no longer does the booze cruise. It's too difficult to coordinate fc jumps to the location with a large number of abandoned carriers clogging up the available slots.

That carrier you flew to isn't "Rock-in-it" its "rose-sin-ahn-tay"! It's likely a reference to The Expanse, which references the book don quixote. I highly recommend the expanse show!

As soon as I saw you docked at Rackham's Peak, I knew what it was about, lol. I used to run Booze Cruises with P.T.N. with my carrier (Pyroclasts)

I havent played in 6 or more months. However I used to make hundreds of millions an hour asteroid mining but I bet those days are long gone and patched to oblivion. I had 4 billion dollars and just parked my carrier outside a rich ring system and left it for a year plus. Just logged in today to check on it and I have 182 million credits left. Time to start mining again to buy another year of sitting there.
It’s wild to think in a span of nearly 6 months you burned through almost 4 billion credits just sitting.
Mining is still very profitable and relaxing.
We’ve been talking about making a more detailed mining video. We just haven’t gotten around to it yet. It’s good to hear you’re still enjoying it.

I made about 25 billion in the last few weeks killing thargoids. Takes a bit of knowledge but its an option or at least something to grind towards for newbies.

@@abelireviews Engineering helps, but it's not absolutely necessary. I made my first billion from fighting at ground ports under attack. For half an hour of fighting I would fly away with roughly 300 million in combat bonds.
It works if you play in Open, and if there are competent other players fighting in the same instance. You only need to do some damage to a Thargoid ship, and you will get the bounty even if someone else destroys it later. Just tickle a cyclops with your lasers a bit, or maybe your AX MC, and run away before it gets mad at you.
I would sometimes fight a Hydra for a while, then fly back to the station for repairs, and get the 50 million bounty notification while still docked. I think you also get some bonus for sticking around to the end of the round, like 40 mil or something (need to verify that somewhere).
You don't even have to find a team for this to work, as long as the other players can bring down interceptors, so you don't have to do everything solo. You can also contribute by dealing with scouts, as long as you remember to go and give a quick little tag to that Hydra that's being bombarded by all those ModShard Anacondas.
What's most important, fighting Thargoids alongside other, live players is really, really fun! :)

How long can you expect to play to be somewhat capable?
Elite Dangerous has a steep learning curve, but you can start having fun immediately. The basics can be picked up in a few hours with tutorials and practice. You can dive in at your own pace, learning as much or as little as you want. The key is to prioritize having fun. Explore, experiment, and enjoy the experience without pressure to master everything immediately.
I have done this, but with my own carrier, getting a carrier slot can be difficult but when you can get in it's chu-ching time. I have 11 Billion in credits, loose change to some of my on line collegues.

Has an established player I make cargo runs of 50 million credits per run but I can make Ron's averaging between 10 million to 40 million depending on what I carry in the l a m a r k station

I personally hunt for Tritium, often differents buy-sell bring me 150m Type -9 full cargo

So, with a type 8, this balloons to 110,000,000 per run with 400T cargo... roughly.

@abelireviews That is wild. Especially considering the best trade routes currently are around 100M per HOUR. Yeah, the booze cruise is pretty good. Can you skirt the landing pad issue by playing in solo?

Honestly, depends on what kind of shows you like. DS9 starts REALLY slow, but picks up in later seasons. Expanse starts off great, but slows down in the later seasons. The First few seasons are ADDICTIVE though.

@@abelireviews ok will do I noticed the pc and console galaxy maps are different also idk why the ui text is really grainy on pc I’m not super familiar with what settings do what so I’ll probably have to look that up
@PyraPanda we ran into grainy text on PC as well. It’s easy to fix. Most likely the default resolution is set super low. Just increase the games display resolution and you will be good to go.
@@abelireviews got it fixed now I’m attempting to figure out engineering I read somewhere finding the different parts can take up your at least a week I hope not that’s insane

That’s very true, and they do love to say that. They say that because nobody can tell when the event will happen. It’s essentially a bet. But it typically happens each month. Although I believe the PTN event organizers will be taking the month of December off to spend time with their friends and family.

The event only takes place one time per month, it only lasts 48 hours, and there is also a small percentage each month that won’t happen.

this is ok thing if you want to make that trip for view, but if its just for money then your calculation is flawed...
first its not 50 millions in 5 minutes but 10+ since there is aprox same time needed to return to carrier. then how lucky you are to get in q for landing as seen, and if that guy in front of you is recording youtube video he may cog that landing pad for longer time.
second, orthrus hunt gives you 40 mill combined with 100% payout if rating is on lvl 5 with certain power so that rises to 80 mill per orthrus or about 2 billions per hour...
again, if wanna change something in everyday play, yeah, this looks ok. spend those two days hauling wine and then go back to spire site and grind couple more billions.
We’ve found the event to be a delightful community event that requires minimal effort. Hunting Thargoid scouting vessels isn’t something we’ve tried yet. We will add it to our list of things to look into. Thanks for taking the time to share your perspective. Elite Dangerous certainly provides many opportunities.
What if i only have a type 6?
Hey, thanks for stopping by. The Type-6 Transporter only requires a medium landing pad, which means it will work and can participate in the event. It’s only ships that require large landing pads that cannot park at the station.

Booze cruise ain’t worth it with so many people on it, I barely made 1 billion, and it was only because I was already close to it, so definitely not worth it, specially with everyone that shows up to it, kept getting screwed over when it came to getting and unloading the wine from each carrier, as soon as one was posted, the wine was gone

@ yeah, I found one possibility, simple trade, should have what I need in a couple of days once I start it, my biggest issue when I was up there was that everytime a carrier opened up, it was basically empty before I could there

Elite Dangerous supports VR and the full game has already released. The developers have even released DLC. Is it possible you are confusing Elite Dangerous with Star Citizen?

Doesn’t work on console?
Its our understanding this event is unavailable on console versions of Elite Dangerous.
The vast majority of PTN people play on the Odyssey version of the game. The console version stopped with the previous expansion, Horizons. When Frontier (the game maker) decided not to continue supporting console access, a large group of players decided to park fleet carriers in specific locations to block access in protest.
IF you can get a fleet carrier in to the system, it does work in Horizons. But you probably won’t see a PTN supported run.

It takes a little bit of prep. But after you get to the system. Yes. You can do a single trade run, in about 5 minutes.
Make 50 million in 5 minutes but the video is 20 minutes and talks about needing to wait and spend all this time for a specific time of the month, yada yada... waste of time... next.
Thanks for the comment. You make an excellent point. We've considered it and decided additional details are needed. You need to install Elite Dangerous, and depending on your internet connection, it might take 15 minutes to 3 hours. Plus you need to buy or build a computer. Depending on your income level, that might take anywhere from one day to 10 years. Oh, and as you thoughtfully pointed out, the time to watch the video is around 20 minutes. We should update the title to "Make 50 Million in 10 Years, 3 Hours, and 20 Minutes. Thanks for the engagement and thoughtful comment. Next 😂

Given your response, we can assume your statement is based on the 5-minute reference. If you watch the video, you can see that we start the timer when you purchase the wine and stop it when you make the sale. and to be honest the cruise is very very bugged up and cannot operate smooth due to people like you ruining it!
Everything the Pilot Trade Network posts is public. The exact path the Booze Snooze takes is nearly identical every time. That said, travel from Gail to the HIP 58832 and back should not be shared while the Booze Snooze is in flight. Therefore, none of our videos are streamed live, and everything is posted after the Booze Snooze arrives at its final destination. Thanks for stopping by and for the engagement.
