That's crazy because im having the same problem with the pinion gear stuck on the motor shaft all so.. Spent all weekend trying to get it off but didn't want to damage the motor.. thinking about just sending the motor back to traxxas
Its very tough because theres Red Loctite holding it on...i would give my pry tool tip ( 3:20 )a try if you have the tools to do so Before sending the motor in to Traxxas.
I too had to take my spacer out as the gears didn't align properly. Have your gears stripped since then? Also how is the Max6 with the stock motor and why you chose that over Max5?
Yeah, the spacer had to be off with this particular pinion gear. I haven't had any stripping so far, but I haven't really gotten the chance to really run the car or really jump it like I'd like to just because of this bipolar Texas weather...lol...and the Max6 has been solid so far with the factory motor, gets a little hot, but I think that's mostly due to having this type of dust cover(none of the electronics can really breathe, might have to get a different one, but it does excellent with keeping all components clean). I simply chose max6 because it was a direct fit and I've never had a max6 before, but if I had to choose, I'd go for max5...may be overkill for some but I always go by " I'd rather have it and don't need it, rather than need it and don't have it"💯🤝❤️
I don’t want to come across as rude if space is to long as a option Sanded down the spacer image that gear turns guess ing somewhere around 60,000 rpm on top of having 1200kv of torque trying to push those gear apart the spacer measured and cut It will ensure the gears can’t move in or out and remove gear slope on the motor side of things again I don’t mean as disrespected or like we would say to be a smart ass all that I know is that I seen literally the torque it’s self of driving around perfect push it self apart noise if The pin was tight it is too loose when you open the cover gear would be dropped in the bottom hopefully you Don’t take this the wrong way
Not rude at all my guy, very helpful and valid points...👌🏾...if anything, i appreciate the extra wisdom, im always learning something new, especially from my subscribers, so honestly, Thank You.🫱🏽🫲🏾💯
@@DaVerseOfficial got it thank great video man. I wanted to upgrade to 1.5 gears but not ready yet to upgrade my power system!! So this pinion with a hot racing spur Hoopfully should work perfectly thanks bro!!!
Great video man. Nice tip with the mini pry bars. Subbed
Thanks a ton💯🤝...the pry tools helps a lot.🙏👍
Nice job. I didn’t know that there was a spacer. No wonder mines was not align 😂.
I only knew because I found it in the gear case accidentally once I pulled off the original pinion.😁
Excellent
Preciate it💯❤️

If your patient, a torch works every time!😅 For the loctite😅😅
Nice job on get the pinion off the motor, can be a real pain!
Preciate it....and yes, it was a pain, but not as hard as my pinion on my first Arrma Infraction....sheeeesh😬😮💨
@@DaVerseOfficial well u earned a sub, your right about earl, but the way you explain things is just as good 👍🏻 see u next video
@Dai G thank you for the support🫡🤝❤️...I feel like I ramble on sometimes, but I just try to make sure everyone understands thoroughly.
