    When I though about painting this miniatures I thought it will be really long boring process. Then I saw your video and realize that is actually a pretty cool! Until you started to paint the yellow and blue miniatures. Red and green I done for under 1 hour and a half and was not even hard. Than when I saw how you are doing yellow and blue I realize that it will take 2 hours only for the one army. So Now I am stuck to think about my idea how to looks and be paint faster. Great video anyway! The result is amazing!

    • @KabinMiniatures

      Thanks for the feedback, we'reglad you liked the video! You should definitely experiment with different colours and see what you can come up with. You can probably do it faster than me! A tip is to do a test model first before you paint everything.

    Hi, is there a special reason you used pigments for the color of the sand? I never used pigments and wonder if I could just use acrylic paint?!

    • @KabinMiniatures
      @KabinMiniatures  2 месяца назад +1

      @phizi7844 You could absolutely use normal acrylic paints on the sand 👍 pigments can add a bit of realism to a base, because they are so matt and "dry" and they can provide a natural gradient on top of what you painted/applied to the base.

    • @phizi7844
      @phizi7844 2 месяца назад +1

      @KabinMiniatures thank you very much for the quick response:) since the miniatures are so small and I am not that into miniature painting I think I will go with normal paint instead. But the Video was super helpful especially for getting confident to paint something with such a small scale

    • @KabinMiniatures
      @KabinMiniatures  2 месяца назад +1

      @phizi7844 So glad you enjoyed it! You should definitely try painting them 👍 don't put a ton of pressure on yourself, just try and have fun and be creative. Even if you end up not being 100% satisfied, remember it's your first attempt and I'm sure your painted version will be preferable to the unpainted!

    • @KabinMiniatures

    • @alivecertified

      @@KabinMiniatures I just have standard acrylic paints valeho ones like 16 colours, I got some washes aswell etc

    • @KabinMiniatures
      @KabinMiniatures  2 года назад +1

      @@alivecertified That should be completely fine! A lighter undercoat is better if you're planning to use light colours, for example it's way easier to paint yellow over a white undercoat as opposed to a black one. That being said, dark colours cover light undercoats really easy too, so whatever you choose to use, your undercoats shouldn't give you any trouble. Traditionally a black undercoat can be used as a base, since it can be your darkest level of shadows and then you build on top of that (and if you miss any spots it will just look like shadows anyway). But you certainly don't have to use any specific undercoat, it's really up to you.

    • @KabinMiniatures
      @KabinMiniatures  2 года назад +2

      @@alivecertified I understand and I've felt the same way too in the past. But do give it a go, I believe most paintjobs are preferable to unpainted plastics. If you're new to the whole thing, I think these tiny troops would benefit from drybrushing. Its a simple method where you take a larger brush (preferably an old one you don't care about) and wipe most of the paint off on a tissue or similar, then brush across the model so that only the raised details will be picked out and coloured. That way you can highlight the model quick and easy. Maybe basecoat the areas in a darker colour of your choice first and then use a lighter shade for the drybrushing 👍
