This was great! I loved how every aspect of the arrangement was expanded on as it went, I think that added a lot to help the direction of the piece still feel like it was rising towards an end point even with this single dominant seventh chord getting no resolution, haha. The marimba rolls were perfect for in the background too. I feel like you really got to play around with the auxiliary percussion in this piece, letting it tell the story in the background as it expanded, too.
Thank you so much! I was worried at first that this would be too simple for a full arrangement, but between all the aux effects and the mallet instrumentation I was able to keep it growing. In hindsight I should've recorded videos for the aux percussion too because it was really fun making it up on the spot! It was pretty challenging to not play everything right on the beat with the click haha
@@VRonMediaMusic Yeah, that's okay! Yeah, it's great to have music that strays away from the beat - especially with recording these VGM covers, I think we're so used to the click track that it makes it so hard to be flexible with time when you're trying to sync things up over the Internet. It's one of the things I miss about playing in orchestra, that organic fluidity with time and the beat and that. Maybe one day we can experiment with an improv piece or something that's more fluid like your process for the percussion, and see what happens!
Didn't know what to expect since it's my first time watching your video. But DAMNN, this is so professionally performed! It's so not easy to synchronise all the parts together so perfectly since it's kind of rubato all the way, kudos to you for that! Really enjoy how zen this sounds! :D
The lighting!! I really liked how the green enhanced my watch experience. Marimba roll quality so on point, and I'm glad the high end sizzle of the bowed vibes is present. Your timing and sensitivity is always on point :)
Ayyy thank you!! It's always so much fun experimenting with different effects on the bowed vibes, I could spend all day messing with different reverbs lol. I'm glad you like the lighting! :)

Omg this is so awesome - I can't wait to show my brothers and hide the title and watch their faces bloom with nostalgia
Ayy thank you so much! I hope your brothers like this arrangement too! :)

Thanks for taking the time to watch this video! I’m glad you enjoyed it! :D
Liking the soundscape you created here! And that vibraphone pedal be putting in the work 😆
Thank you! I've never held the pedal down for an entire song before, so this was a fun experiment and the pedal really did put in the work 🤣
Great great work on this bud
Thank you!
Getting the timing exactly the same on both those instruments would have driven me insane, sounds amazing!
Thank you so much! It did test my patience haha, but it wasn't too bad thanks to the click track!
Wish me luck, I now just got to the Forest Temple.
Good luck! You got this!
Magically playful with an air of mystery and wonder. I love it 😊👏
Thank you so much!! 😄
