No matter how JR felt about Cliff or Clayton, John Ross always liked and showed respect to both of them. I’ve never seen JR outright talk bad about either man in front of John Ross.
My dad also told me secrets he would never tell anyone; company secrets that could have ended his career if they came out. I never told a goddamn soul. It was a cool bond. Must be great for a man to have one person he can always trust.
John Ross Ewing III tells JR that Grandpa Farlow gave him a lift since his Grandma Ellie married Clayton Farlow. That is considered touching. Ain't it?
@@LBF522 James Beaumont always have been a slick Jr should have gave the third degree the same way he gave everyone else who showed to be a Ewing heir.
@@robertscott8344 Absolutely! JR distrusted Jamie from the moment she showed up so it has hard to buy that JR would just accept James as his son no questions asked.
You sound bitter. Daughters marry out and take on somebody else's name from the moment their born you begin to lose them. All you can do is raise them well, make sure they're not a slut and hopefully marry off as a virgin.
@@razakhalid4265 I think that person was talking about the fact that a lot of times, a father will see their son as a extension himself and would often times show more pride in their son than his daughter, even if his a lot harder on his boy, than his baby girl and not as affectionate that doesn't change the fact that a father and a son most of the time would have a deep trust between them, that isn't found often in father and daughter relationships, because there just some things a father can't talk to his daughter about, and vice versa a girl can't talk to her dad and learn how to be a good woman, just like a boy can't learn to be a man from his mother no matter how close he is with her, you seriously underestimate how special and important the father and son bond is and how much it means to a man to have a son to carry on his name especially if that man is very successful.
JR was very lucky he got The Ewing Name back because alot of Motown Artists couldn't take their Group Name when they left. The Temptations, The Jackson Five and even The Miracles (sans Smokey) can attest to that. Even when Florence Ballard Of The Supremes left after being fired in 1967 she signed a contract that said she could never say she was affiliated with Motown, The Supremes or even get Royalties on Songs she once sang on. Due to these bad business decisions she couldn't establish a Career as a Solo Artist and died in 1976 broke.

Because he was just a child and wouldn't understand all what jr's rifts between them was about.

My Dad was a Texas rancher and same here. Nothing treacherous or scandalous; just man secrets.
JR truely loves two things. One of them is how to get rid of Weststar and Cliff Barnes while the other one is loving John Ross Ewing III.
Please do give me thumbs up if you enjoyed watching this clip of DALLAS with JR and John Ross Ewing III. ©®

'Just met Omri Katz myself twice - in Salem, both this year (last week, alongside Thora Birch, Vanessa Shaw & Jason Marsden) and last year!
So, John Ross calls Clayton, Grandpa Farlow.
John Ross Ewing III tells JR that Grandpa Farlow gave him a lift since his Grandma Ellie married Clayton Farlow.
That is considered touching.
Ain't it?
@@SOCORROSILVA-in7px this is sweet grandpa farlow
Clayton was Grandpa Farlow. Jock was Granddaddy.
John Ross was one of the very few J.R. actually care about.
Pay attention how John Ross' hair is at 0:20 and 1:00. There is a difference. :)
God... Awful mistake...
@@Matzyboy Maybe I mentioned it like a funny detail? ;)
@@SOCORROSILVA-in7px Don't understand this separate sides thing. And don't understand where I posted negative comment.
Bad
Shot that scene after kunch
I loved JR and John Ross's bond as father and son. That is why I hated it when they add James Beaumont as JR's supposed son.
I Hope There Is One When John Ross Visits
Sue Ellen's Office
❤❤❤❤❤❤
JR Was good to John Ross for the mouse part but I think the sad part evidence was in the end JR Drove him away
It was silly how they had JR neglecting him because of a grandson from his first son James
I hated the addition of James Beaumont as well. It ruined JR and John Ross's relationship and JR accepted him no questions asked.

So true now that you mentioned it! Where were the back ground checks & investigator checking to make sure, even the maternity tests!@@LBF522
J R is wonderful with John Ross. Too bad fathers don’t feel the same way for their daughters.

I respectfully disagree. Fathers are much closers to their daughters... Sons are their Mamas!!!

That's right
John Ross did end up telling his mother-which is why she bought up Westar stock!
A real shame how John Ross turned out later on in the TNT version of the show.
The writing for John Ross on Dallas TNT was awful.

Racist fuck!
How sad.... I didn’t know this. Thanks for reaching me.
JR doesn't realize that all of his efforts are going down the drain because his dear brother, Bobby, has the rights to use the name of Ewing Oil.
