I grew up with Omri Katz as John Ross on "Dallas," but I am so glad that Josh Henderson took over the role on the new "Dallas." M' boy Josh was born to play John Ross! He elevated that part to heights that I didn't even dream of back in the day. And I hope that he is able to play the role again in some continuation of "Dallas" down the line.
This is SOOOOO good. I see that Linda saw this and LOVED it. It is really good. I hope to see Sue Ellen have more of an influence on John Ross in future episodes.
Josh Henderson does a great job portraying John Ross, but I would've like to have seen Omri Katz reprise that role since he was the one who basically originated it.
“Even when you hated him the most, you were obsessed with being just like him” That hits on so many levels, cause JR was obsessed being just like Jock and making him proud and the same thing with John Ross and JR. It also hits that every son has at one point been so mad at his father for something! But in the end we want to be just like them.
When Sue Ellen says that she's found happiness with her son i laughed because not that long after she got full custody of John Ross she started neglecting him and letting the maid take care of him for half of the season she was divorced from JR. I just got done watching the fifth season so i know what I'm talking about
This was so beautiful but made me kinda sad when we know what's coming...John Ross acting just like his father and Sue Ellen repeating her same mistakes over and over again...Shades of the past...
+lakimies111, writers destroyed that storyline between John Ross, and Pamela. Best storyline of season 3, and the writers destroyed it. The affair with Emma should never have happened. John Ross, and Pamela should have been the power couple of this show. The whole show is about the Barnes feuding with the Ewings. How great would it be to see the daughter of Cliff Barnes, his first born daughter, and JR's middle son, getting together, and getting married?
+Derek Mathews I know many people feel the way you do, but I personally didn't care about the pairing. Pamela had too many personality changes starting from season 1 and I could never take her seriously, never knew who she was supposed to be. The only reason John Ross ever married her was for business and then the cheating started immediately. I never saw the great lovestory many others did and wanted both of them to move on.
+lakimies111, well you just said it. Even if John Ross married her for only business purposes, he did love her. But the writers messed their relationship up because they didn't allow them to EXPAND. They should of allowed them to be married for awhile, like three or four years, maybe seven or something. But they didn't allow this. The writers screwed up.
I do too. I thought Pamela and John Ross were a lot more attracted to each other than John Ross, and Elena were. Besides I thought Elena was better off with Christopher. But for real, as a couple, John Ross, and Pamela would have crushed Christopher, and Elena.
