If JR had said, instead, "I'm sorry and I was wrong in taking such a huge risk with his family's home and been sincere about it maybe his parents would have been kinder towards him.

Even as a viewer that hated JR, I thought that sucked. Bad writing. Cause it business when there's success everyone forget their problems.
Yes., but keep in mind that Jock told JR not to do the Oil Deal in Southeast Asia and he didn't listen to Daddy. Even in The Old School Books, Jock knew that if JR was the way he was, it was his fault. He also may have realized he was "harder" on him to make him pay for what Gary did running off and the like.
This was when the Asian oil wells hit and JR had morgaged the family home to do it. And this was also the day SUe Ellen reunited with baby John Ross and was happy to have a son.
Yes, he suckered the Cartel into investing their shares into the Southeast Asia Deal,, which in turn The Cartel got wiped out by J.R., as he had inside knowledge from his contact over there that the oil wells got nationalized.
They don't see it that way. Also remember in The Old School Dallas Book, Lupe knew the real reason why Jock & Miss Ellie got married and it was Miss Ellie's insistence that they had Mexican Staff. I'm sure they got paid some Big Bank and who knows maybe they were able to send Cash to Family in Mexico to help them out. Remember when The Ewings got held hostage. The Staff were in El Paso at a Fiesta to celebrate Mexican Pride.
Even if it actually served J.R. right for ruining Miss Ellie's & Jock's Southfork, he didn't "make fun" or "take advantage of" Bobby or Ray, all the time.
JR shouldn't get any thanks. He almost ruined the Family financially. He had a Horseshoe up his Backside. It's like finding out your child cheated on a Test, he's allowed to retake the test he passes but he still thinks he should get some commendation for passing "honestly".

Jock was the only one who was able to handle Jr. Dallas wasn't the same after Jim Davis died
I remember this part, with all the troubles JR have had and all the fights, he finally did something great, the pipelines were gushing with oil, he come to the house and they all crap on him. Even as a viewer that hated JR, I thought that sucked. Bad writing. Cause it business when there's success everyone forget their problems.
Johnny Skinwalker if I was Jr I would have stayed at the office and celebrated there with the secretaries
Yea have him go back to the office and bring Sue Ellen's sister with him. lol
"I'll try mama" but for now we sitting on alot beans and I'm estatic" then jock throws on the buzz kill. I'm running Ewing oil from now on.
Why were 2 SUPPOSED oil tycoons still living at home on the ranch with their MOMMA& DADDY
This was when the Asian oil wells hit and JR had morgaged the family home to do it. And this was also the day SUe Ellen reunited with baby John Ross and was happy to have a son.
I think if I were JR I would lay low for a long, long time.
Larry hagman brilliant
poor JR
Here comes Jock!!
Love how the dud champagne spoiled jr’s win on top of jock temporarily controlling Ewing oil.
Ellie
The worst 3 days of her life?
Life must be good
There is only one J. R . Ewing . I have his whiskey. They don’t make shows like this anymore.
That's the episode call the house is divided
Jock was a arsehole he picked on jr he’s a fucker
BlIMEY forgot how gorgeous Pam was.🍹🍸🍹❤❤
Billions
money, power, success=J.R. Ewing! :D
Jock taking control of ewing oil
Was this the Same Deal that JR convinced his Friends to get in on.
Yes, he suckered the Cartel into investing their shares into the Southeast Asia Deal,, which in turn The Cartel got wiped out by J.R., as he had inside knowledge from his contact over there that the oil wells got nationalized.
It's wrong for them to let the maid stand there and hold that tray while they eat from it.
She's a god damn Mexican, fuck her.
HypasMusic she's HIRED help. That was part of her job description. No one forced her to do it. She knew what the job entailed before accepting it...
THE READ QUEEN Exactly
The maid would be on my lap
Dallas should have focused on J.R,''s service in Vietnam and built out the character from there
Yet a risk J.R. took in southeast Asia mortgaging southfork and made enemies
I have a headache trying to decipher the heading on this video. Somewhere my fourth grade English teacher is spinning in her grave ......
Even if it actually served J.R. right for ruining Miss Ellie's & Jock's Southfork, he didn't "make fun" or "take advantage of" Bobby or Ray, all the time.
I felt bad for J.R. but he gambled the ranch and what would've happen if it failed.
Talk about ther rick getting richer..!!..XD
Cork failed to impress like his successful deal failed to impress.
They sure shit on poor ole JR
JR shouldn't get any thanks. He almost ruined the Family financially. He had a Horseshoe up his Backside. It's like finding out your child cheated on a Test, he's allowed to retake the test he passes but he still thinks he should get some commendation for passing "honestly".
laminage He was just smarter than the cartel
Bullshit.. Everyone should be kissing his ass. He made them all billions.
Poor jr not.....
Poor JR
