The church I just started attending thinks that it is ok on halloween night for everyone to meet at church and to let the kids dress up as people in the Bible”. I asked “do y’all stand by vehicles and give out candy like a trunk or treat”, she said “yea we do, but the kids have to tells us who they are dressed up like and what they did”. So I told her then y’all are still celebrating halloween and we are not going to attend because as for me and my house we will serve the LORD.

Halloween used to be one of my favorite times of the year. I just liked how creative people were with costumes and it seemed innocent and fun enough! The closer I've gotten with God my interest in Halloween just stopped! God is good and he gives you peace beyond understanding!

I used every excuse I know not be part of this party but at the end I had no choice...on the day of the party, the drummer gets sick and the gig was canceled....😊 God moves in mysterious ways. I am so glad that He stepped in last moment to help me out ...to save me from going to work at that demonic celebration

I love this so much. I'm 28 years old and have never celebrated Halloween and I plan on keeping it that way. I get so many comments from people on why I don't take part in Halloween and this is why. That's awesome! I wish I could say the same! My family stopped celebrating a few years ago. Instead on Halloween we do a food drive. It's much more rewarding to know that you're giving food to the hungry rather than keeping junk food for yourself.

I've been celebrating Halloween my whole life I got saved n gave my life to God in 2011 the church I got saved at celebrates Halloween and they have a carnival and costumes so I thought as a new believer that it was normal. I got called out of that church in 2018 and went to a smaller church where it was more personal because my prior church was a mega church and that when that pastor told me the truth about Halloween I was in shock like wait what!!? So we didn't celebrate Halloween last year we r not this year or ever again! The enemy had me like a puppet majority of my life I'm living the remainder of my life serving God with my family.

Days before we were set attend our annual neighborhood Halloween party, I was attacked by demons while I slept. I could feel the hatred they had for me and they wished only for me to be in torment. God woke me up and I immediately began to pray the Lord’s Prayer over and over. I could feel them leave my body in waves of shivers. Even though I knew what was happening I had no fear because I knew my God is greater and He would protect me! I instantly knew I could not attend the party or dress up to celebrate the day. I wish more of my friends would wake up to the truth! God is preforming many miracles and blessings in my life right now and I will not do anything to block this....and I am not perfect but I choose to be more Holy so I can be closer to Him! I share my story with others so they can take comfort that our God will never abandon us and loves us so much.

By the age of 10 my mom stopped me from going out and celebrating Halloween. I didn't get it at the time. All my friends were going out and here I am at home doing nothing. Now that I've gotten older and God has gifted me a closer relationship with him I understand that what she did was the right decision. I'm grateful now! Best believe my children won't have anything to do with this in the future.

There are other ways to make fun for your children besides Halloween. But everyone has their own convictions. So, I would suggest you pray about it deeply and let the Holy spirit guide you on wha is good for your family. I have friends who celebrate Halloween that re Christian, and the think it's harmless. My family chooses not to celebrate for many reasons no listed here. I feel that for us it can be a gateway to other things. Because when I was younger I had interests in magic, and i feel it would be the same for my children. But everyone is different.

I never celebrated Halloween. Most people in my church do. I was starting to feel like I'm alone in thinking this way. My kids ask why they're not like other kids. Sometimes I think, oh what's the big deal. I'm glad I listened to this. This really encouraged me to keep going.
I can't believe you even had to debate this. Just a little bit of thinking and you would've gotten your answer. What is the theme of Halloween? Death, ghosts, skeletons, dressing up like zombies? Can any of those characters go to heaven? Absolutely not. They are companions of hell. Why would it be okay for a Christians to celebrate things that cannot withstand the light of God?

Halloween is the evening before All Hallows Day. It is a day which has been observed by the Christian Church since the 4th century, in honor of all saints known or unknown. It's not a satanist holiday. But yeah, you know better than the entire history of the Christian faith.

Yes, the weekly Sabbath and the Holy Days are all listed in the Bible (Leviticus 23) but so many worship on Sunday although Jesus changed nothing commanded by His Father.

I'm an atheist and I advise you to remember that there is a real person with a cancer survivor in her family behind the screen. In all likelihood she got medical treatment but attributes her recovery to Jesus.

@Jonathan Cobb we're not afraid to celebrate it, some of us just choose not to. It stems from an ancient pagan Celtic festival Samhain, where they would sacrifice humans and animals, and engage in all kinds of things that are a sin in our religion. Why would we celebrate anything like that?
