Great tips! I have heard that it’s better to use a vacuum to suck up fluffies. When blowing, you risk pushing them further into the machine.

I've heard that too, but I've been doing it this way every week for 10 years, and it appears to have done no harm. 🤷‍♀️

All your tips are great! Some tips I have: I marked each oil hole I do not oil with a red sharpie; I oil the hook on my bobbin case each time I change the bobbin; so I won’t lose the screws from the throat plate, I drop them in my magnetized straight pin bowl; I also do not blow air in my machine per advice from my Juki tech.

Regarding the tape on the throat plate: I use a utility knife to cut along the crevice between the throat plate and machine. That way you can remove the throat plate but the tape can remain in place of it’s still in good condition.
Regarding oiling, I always had to look at the mannual to remember WHICH holes need oil. I got some page hole reinforcement stickers. I put one on each hole that needs oil so it speeds up my routine.
