    Hi Juki Junkies,
    We have an Updated video on new oiling methods that we have found to be much better :) (we recommend all 6 holes every 3-4 months not every 4 -6 hours of sewing ) Check it out here. ruclips.net/video/SDE02I_1VJM/видео.html

    I had no idea that I had to have the presser foot down to set the tension! Explains a lot of the reasons I was having problems getting the tension right. Thank you! I have only had my Juki for a couple of months, but I love it so far!

    I wanted to cry every time I had to change a needle on my TL, it was so difficult for my slightly arthritic fingers, I never had that prob on my old Brother. I tried a plastic thingy that is supposed to hold the needle, total junk. I got a really sturdy, metal, one at my local sewing store, really clamps on to the needle to get that sucker inserted correctly. It was the best 5.99 I spent, no more tears. 😊

    I have had my TL 2010Q since 2016, and I LOVE it. After watching this video, I have been doing so many things wrong to this poor machine. I made a few, simple adjustments and now, my TL is still running like it did 8 years ago. I'm so glad it is a forgiving sewing machine. From this moment on, I promise to treat it better🙂

    I've had a TL2010 for about 6 years, and all that time I've been using the little door on the bobbin case to insert it into the machine. This explains why I've had occasional issues with the bobbin thread going all wonky because I never knew to listen for that "click"! Very helpful!

    My error was that I was wondering why my machine wouldn’t cut my threads or do the auto threading. I was using a 70 weight industrial thread. I used that same thread when I took my machine into the introductory class for my machine at my dealers store. They didn’t correct me either; they said to bring it into the repair shop and have them look it over. I learned more from your RUclips videos than I ever did from them. Thank you so much!

    I love this video! One tip that I learned about threading with the needle threader from one of Boki's videos is to press the needle up and down button to get the needle to "reset", but don't crank it higher after that (like I used to!!) It can go higher, but Boki said that needle down/up gets it in the perfect position, not the highest position, which is key! Ever since, I've not had any issues with my needle threader!! I really liked your "flossing" tip! I think that is a terrific way to make sure the thread is really seated where it should be! Thanks, HD!!

    Before buying my 2010Q I watched every video out there, read reviews etc. Two most common complaints were the needle threader not working (I have the same problem but am going to make sure now I do it exactly as this wonderful video shows). The second thing is the thread cutter. Most reviews said the same thing - that it cuts the threads too short, requiring a needle re-thread which was a pain. While I'm hoping the threader will now work (though it hasn't been bad manually threading despite somewhat poor eyesight - I keep a magnifier close by), I don't believe there is a fix to the thread being cut too short. LOVE this machine no matter the two little quirks.

    I got my TL2000Q in 2020 and quickly learned that I should have gotten it years ago. As a serious quilter, it’s perfection. Then I got the TL 18 for my travel bag (because the only 2 dealers anywhere near me had the TL2000Q on back order), and cannot say enough good things about these machines. It’s great that they are so heavy and secure, but it’s a chore to carry. I;m not complaining though. Great machines

    I don't have a Juki yet, I am not sure which one I should be getting, so I will contact you. But, that said, this is an outstanding video! Great tips and insights! (i.e., threading with the pressure foot down, and setting the upper tension with the foot down. While these tips make sense, as a self-taught sewer I never knew this and didn't necessarily do it that way.) The filming in this video is excellent for teaching and explaining too! I really appreciate that. The oiling of the hook, or where the bobbin case gets inserted - "the 2nd ledge" and showing it zoomed in while spreading out the oil was so well demonstrated and communicated! These tips are valuable for all sewers! Thank you so very much. I am not so afraid of a long distance purchase of such an investment. Your support is outstanding! Thank you!!

    I have had my Juki Tl18 for a few years now. I love her. I would oil everywhere more than I did the bobbin area. Today my top stitches were off. I did everything several times and still not right. I was putting the bobbin in with the door opened and not oiling it as much. It won't click at all. I ordered a new bobbin case to see if that fixes the problem. Fingers crossed. 🤞 Will be oiling it more often and closing the door. Thank you for such an informative video. I've been oiling the bobbin area in the wrong spot. It's hard to see exactly what the manual is pointing to. Thank you for these tips. I've had my Juki 2010 about 3 months and I love it. I ordered my machine from y'all.

    I was making the mistake of not putting the thread through the top hole to wind the bobbin. Wasn't mentioned in the manual.

    When I placed my large throat plate on I did not insert properly around the feed dogs. I caught it just by manually lowering the needle to make sure the needle was aligned.

    Using the second spool holder to wind the bobbin best tip! You shared it and I was like…duh girl!!

    • @dcwatashi
      @dcwatashi Год назад +1

      I know but that means you have to have two cones of the exact same color of thread and that can get quite pricey

    • @kstorts7348
      @kstorts7348 Год назад +1

      @@dcwatashi I can understand that. I basically only use 3 colored neutrals (in a light, medium and dark) so for me I have a full one always in each color and one I’m finishing up

    • @dcwatashi
      @dcwatashi Год назад +2

      @@kstorts7348 well I am a graphic designer as well so I like lots of colors. So having two of almost everything would not be economical

    I use my TL18 to also wind my DX7 bobbins. That way I don’t have to unthread my machine just for a new bobbin. I get a better bobbin using the TL than on the DX🤷‍♀
