That truck would bring that much money around my area even without the history. For off road guys ,1985 is possibly the most sought after Toyota pickup of all time. First year of fuel injection with the 22re and last year of solid front axle. It is a one year only configuration. I had a 1985 4 runner and getting rid of it is one of my biggest regrets.

Since the truck is a replica and not the original I could only assume the shoes, hoverboard, and sports almanac are knock offs. If they were original they wouldn’t have let the package go for $24,000.

The truck that was seen in the original movie and the truck from part 2 and 3 were different trucks. The original truck from what I've heard was destroyed and or wrecked n the one they were actually able to track down and restore was the truck seen in part 2 and 3 mostly 3 because the truck was only seen briefly in part 2 when the reshot that scene that was originally the ending scene from the first movie.

Actually, not a bad price. I guess it depends on how rare the aftermarket parts are, but my guess is that the low price is because it was probably a fan's ride. Its actually a good idea, I don't think I've seen something like this before. If it was professionally done with a low miles and flawless paint job, I would've bet $50k+.

And I was in the process of buying a house so because everything was delayed because of the chip shortage I put out feelers for the car and then the dealership called me the day I went to sign for my house. so the next day I drove 8 hours to the dealership. purchased my car the day after my house closed and drove 8 hours back. The truck (not car) would be worth more to me personally than the DeLorean. Both my husband and I love Back to the Future and he always wanted the DeLorean. I wanted the truck. We used to own a 1988 red Toyota 4x2 which we bought new. Though not the same as the BTTF Toyota, my 1988 4x2 was a monster. It was small but the most reliable vehicle that never stopped going. I sold it back in 2009 after putting over 500,000 kms on it. I've always regretted selling it. those 1980 Toyota pickups are just the best.

Absolutely no disrespect to the kid, love the passion, but his info is way off 😅
First mags came to the public in 2011 (did not self-lace) less than 2k pairs ever produced, resale around $15k - $30k. The second release was in 2016 less than 100 pairs made, each were numbered and signed by Tinker Hatfield who designed the sneakers for the movie along with the majority of the iconic Air Max and Air Jordan sneakers after the Air Jordan 2 in 1987. The 2016 Mags can resale up to $150k and do self-lace, he did get that info correct.
Also: Really cool package deal but the sneakers they included were replicas, the shape and appearance were completely off compared to original pairs. Most movie prop collectors buy the replicas as display pieces while sneakerheads would rather pay the higher cost to own the real thing and potentially wear them.

In my experience shoes and items are only worth what someone will pay if you find a die hard back to the future fan the package may be worth over 100k but if you can’t find that person you may get stuck holding the bag.

It's a truck you can EASILY work on. bobbed the bed 13" running on 33x10.50's with factory gearing. Could probably use a re-gear. Handles great. A little rough riding. Had to part search a newer seat for it. Otherwise all the important bits were available right from Toyota. New window regulators were $45. Door hinges were less than $30. It's nice driving a vehicle that you know you can fix if anything happens. I have about $8k into it. I did very little rust repair. One hole in the floor about the size of a nickle.

so annoying when content creators make GenZ comments that make it seem like we know nothing about cars lmfao. 1997 was 26 years ago. Power Windows are STILL a thing today with NEW economy cars.

The truck that appears for less than a minute of total screen time got more post production love than the actual hero car.

I hate to tell you but the shoes were real. At the time when they built the tribute they got the shoes and almanac as props to go with the truck. That and they were worth a fraction of what they are now. The people selling the truck didn't have a clue but like I say bought them to tie into the truck for people.

I'd love to have this truck and I usually despise Toyotas with a passion. It's perfect for me except for one problem, it's a 4×4. I'm a two wheel drive guy but with the stance that this truck has. I guess you'd call it a pre-runner. I'd upgrade the motor with something that has a little more spunk. Not quite a 2JZ, but maybe a motor from an all wheel drive Celica. THEN, it would be perfect. I love small two wheel drive trucks with a lot of torque, like a 4.3 Vortec S10, a 4.0 Ranger or a 5.2/5.9 Dakota

This was the truck to have in the mid 80's. I remember several students having them back in high-school.

Those trucks in that condition go for upwards of 20k with no nestalgia. It is a life time truck. There is a company about an hour drive from me that just rebuilds the 22r motors.
