You’re a great dude we all know this but your honesty is your downfall funny thing to say about a genuine car dealer who I would love to buy a car from and I love your channel love your video’s etc etc etc etc,, Look at what he did for the sake of $500 dollars he just made a mockery of himself and his fake corvette club I know you are a very decent fella and if he asked you for $500 you probably gave it to him for him to send it back to you in the future but he is a dork ,, God bless you and your flying wheels business ,, How low would he really go to fraud so little doesn’t make sense let him keep it and he can buy a few hamburgers and chips because he could move them like no one on earth,😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 He is a low down waste of space and fresh air,,, Can’t imagine him giving his fake car club any bonuses ya right,, See you in the next one my friend,,
Scammers are EVERYWHERE, Do Not let Him get AWAY WITH IT😤 I have been ripped off by so many People in my life, I bought a House for my sister because She kept getting evicted, and She Ripped Me off, for multiple Mortgage Payments, and Then I ended up with less than half the proceeds for the property I put All the money down for in my name. She Ruined My Credit, and She didn’t Care at All. I paid A Lawyer and It just cost me more money, He did absolutely nothing for me. But cost me over $10,000! Trust No one. Now I give too those in need, but TRUST NOBODY. Do not Let This RIP OFF ARTIST GET AWAY WITH STEALING FROM YOU. Put His Videos All over the Internet. This is the first time I’ve seen Your Video, but I completely understand where You’re coming from, You Cannot Be a Good Person, Everyone takes advantage of Your Good Heart.😰
As a now retired 27 year Sheriff's Captain, I feel comfortable saying, TRUST YOUR INSTINCTS and don't discount the little hairs that pop up on the back of your neck.
The whole blowing him up and "Oh I'll put your name on a banner" And things like that should be a red flag. If someone does it without expecting anything from you, Then you can trust them. But if someone is doing a deal with you and comes out with crap like that it should be a huge warning ⚠️ sign.
As soon as he was he was talking you up so much and saying how good you are and he was going to send you more costumers and he felt it from his heart that you were a good guy and you were like family it was a red flag. That's not normal "good guy" behaviour, that's a dishonest person trying so hard to seem like a good and genuine person.
Good Lord, had I saw the first few minutes of that jackwagon scammer, without knowing what this video was about...I would've said hes blowing soo much smoke up his ass, it had to be act!
I can tell by the way that guy talks that he shouldn’t be trusted. The second he played the missing $8K move, you should have given him his money back and made him leave. It was crystal clear at this point that he was a dishonest hustler.
Right when I heard the 8k thing I sure would have told him to take all his money and leave. Even if he found it and still wanted to work it out I would have said no.
That was my first thought. If you're buying a late-model 'Vette in cash, you have a debit card. Though, taking $500 on 2 credit cards should have been the deal-breaker.
The funniest thing about this is if he offered $35,500 and said that’s his absolute maximum he may have got the 500 discount instead of doing all that for $500 and a lifetime of embarrassment 😂
Probably true, though I doubt that he's embarrassed at all. He's a scam artist and petty criminal, a long history of doing this kind of thing. He's lost any sense of shame or ability to be embarrassed many years back.
I agree! Crooks and creeps should be exposed! A friend of mine posted on Facebook, Twitter, ect photos and details of a guy who assaulted him as a child. I asked if he was worried about being sued. He said that was his his goal. There is no statute of limitations in our state for certain crimes against children so he was hoping the guy would return and try to sue. He said the guy already has convictions in Ohio so it wouldn't be hard to prove. I cheered him on, but I also pointed out that guy looked scary AF. I don't know if I would be taunting him. People are crazy.
@@mrwealthysoon If you want to mess with him, always make sure you also ask for additional details to be sure you find the right person. People who harm children get no sympathy from me, but you don't want to bother someone innocent who happens to have the same name.
If merchants would follow the law this wouldn’t happen. Merchants are not allowed to let customers swipe or key in card numbers. That’s the reason they came out with chip readers.
Glad you didn't shy away from naming him! Too often people are too scared to flat out call these awful people out. He 100% deserves to be outed as a fraud, and I hope it comes back to bite him.
And Craig has to hope it doesn't come back to him. Not sure about US privacy laws(lol), but if he were to out peoples personal information like this anywhere in Europe Craig would likely face a privacy lawsuit if the guy would have wanted to go there.
@tijmenberends242 im almost positive he'd be covered. The scumbag theif can take him to court to try to sue him if he wants...Craig would just have to prove that everything in this video is true. It seems to me that he can do that, no problem. He would probably welcome it so he can counter sue the the thief.
@@louiecmancuzo2903 even when it is true he can just put his private information out there? That's actually crazy. But good for Craig in this case. The guy deserves it either way

Manual entry of credit cards is was the most STUPIDIST. A scammer can use a credit card generator to generate several more card numbers by only changing the last 4 digits starting with the last digit and keeping the zip code. People are seeing right through this guy and taking an advantage of it. To SAY ALL buyers are dishonest shows where this guy's I.Q. level is, why not just say everyone is a liar? That means he'd have to include himself if that were true. Dudes hanging the bait that is attracting these dishonest buyers and scammes LMAO 🤣. Dafuq!?

You're never too old to learn something. Today I leaned that unless you swipe the buyers card you're not protected as a seller.. thanks for posting this video
be careful handing a credit card to a teenager. This guy bought 5 plane tickets with it. I read to cover your code, have them hand you the keyboard and type it in yourself. This was at Legoland in LA.
Yes, the card has to work as intended, chip first and if the chip is damaged after 3 attempts it let's you swipe. Card must be physical unless they are using a phone payment option. You can't pay credit with credit and the actual numbers of the card is what the POS uses to determine whether it's a credit or debit card. Sometimes because of limits set by banks, a debit can be ran as credit to bypass it or the client will have to call the bank. Some electronic banks have limitations like Chime, you can't have automatic payments coming from those accounts, like for a lease, but will allow a service like Netflix.
@@kevinhiggler2896 I wouldn't even give a smart phone with a monthly contract to a teenager, or any "high risk" person who is dependent upon me for their Needs, which I am happy to provide. The Apple Store and Google Play Store require a form of credit on file to be able to download even free apps. They want a simple flip phone, buy minutes pay as you go, fine. Out of your monthly allowance which I tell them that they have to learn how to budget. As long as they are living under my roof, with free room is board, it's my money that I worked Very hard for and they can wait and buy all of their Wants and Wishes when they are paying their own way. My mother was a strict parent when it came to financing our Needs vs Wants. And we had more than enough income; a nice home, neighborhood, good schools, country club membership. Of course she did let us get a Want a few times a year, but she was a stone wall not giving in to our daily whims pestering her. There were a few times when she refused to give in that I absolutely hated her because EVERYONE ELSE'S PARENTS let Them get one, or Do That!!! But now, many decades later, I am at age 71, an aging Boomer, I thank her greatly while I quietly weep inside seeing today's parents not strong enough, getting in more and more debt because they won't say NO, as my mother did a hundred times more than she ever said Yes. 🧓

I own a car wash. I literally do not believe anything customers say. We get damage claims several times a day. All bogus, all on camera. Absolutely disgusting.
Car washes are a scam to begin with😂😂😂 everyone has a water hose. One of the biggest scams around. Nothing works right but the water. No soap. Foam doesn’t work. And the clowns that own it are never around 😂😂😂
On the flip side, my dad went through a car wash a couple weeks ago. Mirror cover gets blasted off. After going back and forth and the cameras showing it was blasted off, we’re told they don’t cover “vehicles older than 5 years” on a 2012 BMW with 58k miles.
@@dezbigguns1072 People in apartments (and other rentals) do not have a water hose. I rarely use a car wash, because I'm pretty cheap. However, car washes are a great service for those who need them. It's also a bit ironic how much experience you seem have with the car wash you apparently frequent enough to track the workers, while also calling them a scam. Why would you keep going?
I worked at a car wash for 5 years and I can say with confidence that they do sometimes damage vehicles. If you don't clean the brushes out often, rocks and dirt collect in them and scratch the hell out of the paint. With that being said I have experienced plenty of Karens that are impossible to please or that try to find any damage they can blame on you.
How is it irrelevant? FlyingWheels is acting like he's such an innocent victim in this, why isn't he disclosing that he's actually happy Melvin did this because it gives him very juicy content for a video? Or how even with the $35,500 he received from Melvin, he still made a good profit?

I work for a bank, and I can tell you that fraud is everywhere. Also if you are paying 35 bucks on a credit card transaction you need a new merchant processor
Yes well it seems you work for the scammers. As you brag about people doing charge backs after they went and bought a product. So you are the scammer. Just like the (I work for a bank person) that kept sending and sending and sending bs to the dealer. The “I work for a bank” people just like you are the ones that make it possible for the scammers to scam in this way. So pat yourself on the back you scammer….excuse me bank worker. I mean that’s not something I would be proud about, helping scammers scam people and then you taking partnership with a scammer to help him/her scam honest small companies. When he literally has everything and you still find a way to make sure the scammer scams the honest small companies. So yea fraud is everywhere and your the main reason that fraud is allowed. As there are millions of charge backs a week and 99% of them are scammers getting the banks help to scam
I realize you just wanted to make a sale but when he showed up and said he wanted it in his sister's name after his "brother" called and said it was for him, you should have told him to kick rocks. @P9rkour90-You’re right that this scammer goes after small businesses.Because if he tried a big dealership, they would probably take him in the financial office right away to check his financial background. But I’m sure the scammer wouldn’t even make it that far.The dealer would know he’s a BS artist!
It is a good move to put up his name and picture on RUclips so we can make sure that he doesn't scam anyone else. Keep his picture and name up as long as possible.
Thanks for the very informative vid. Here’s a concept; first file a police report. Then because Melvin shorted you $500, the sale contract is void. You could tell him that unless he sends the money you will repossess the Vette. If no money is sent, take back the car.
It will cost the dealership more than 500$ to repo. Repos are not free to use. In this case the dealership is better off sucking up the loss. But he should file the police report and after send it in to the bank so the bank gets notified of the customer bad behavior and its on file and there is paper trail.
His business is not worth the time and money over $500, because he has to take his personal time and pay the cost to hire and repossess, then resell it. Especially since he might cause more drama. If he thinks it’s worth it then he definitely should. But not worth it for most when you have to step away from the business to handle it and can make more money anyway.
Yes repo is not free, however the idea is to get fat boy to send the money before a repo is done. However if a repo is done flying wheels can subtract that cost from the money already paid and refund the remainder and resell the Vette.
He can't repo anymore. He no longer has title to the car, Melvin does. He should though file a police report. Take that report, send it to the credit card company and the insurance company Melvin had to show before he took possession of the car. Insurance company will drop him fast! You might even be able to send a lien into carfax, I'm not sure.
I sold cars for thirty years. And, yes, I could always spot thieves and scammers. In 1992 I had a customer who "bought" a car from my dealership. He said he was moving to Las Vegas that night. I noticed that his Driver License photo had a light blue curtain in the background. Our finance department accepted it anyway. My commission on the sale was $348.00. Since I had memorized the license plate on the Cadillac he arrived in that evening, the police were able to locate him in Las Vegas within 48 hours. The car was recovered, and the dealer let me keep the pay because I helped solve the case.
There is ZERO chance you could “always spot thieves and scammers“ as you claim. You’ve probably been taken advantage of at least a handful of times and still don’t even realize it. Heck, you can’t even effectively write out a short paragraph explaining how your company was scammed.
@@stef1833 Guessed you missed where he stated the Buyer’s drivers license was invalid. You have to have valid ID or Driver’s license 🪪 to purchase a vehicle. More than likely it was more suspicious activities. Especially being caught in Vegas. 😂

rob ferretti (superspeedersrob), a car rental owner here on YT, had a video in the past where he had to use his in office cameras as well as some phone call recording software (legal in NJ, one part consent law), to get out of some scam. Not sure if you'd be able to get around it in New Hampshire with a "this phonecall is being recorded" message since it's a 2 party consent state or by having cameras inside the office, but it could have been helpful for the whole "CYA cover your A" thing.
My wife used to be a nurse at a nursing home and so many nurses got accused of the most insane crap all the time. It was crazy. They would accuse nurses of stuff who weren't even working that day or even the whole weekend
My brother sold a car to someone who paid with a Chase cashiers check. I happened to be there and I told him to call Chase to verify that it was good. Chase bank locally verified that it was good. O. K. So he’s doing the paperwork and Chase called back to say the $35,000.00 check was actually $350.00 check . The buyer altered the check! When we confronted him, he grabbed check and ran out the door. Lessened learned… only do wire transfers and beware of weekend buyers unless they have cash.
I'll take things that never happened for $500. You can't alter a cashiers check from $350 to $35k because it has both the numeric part and the written out words part
I would file a dispute as a merchant, the bank is using the swipe type to justify a chargeback which isn’t a sole reason to justify a chargeback. Also it’s based on a single employee reviewing the case you can speak to their Team Leader or escalate the call.
Yup, dispute it. Been in similar situations where I work, and usually customers don't win their charge backs because they are high amounts and we have proofs that they have received the goods. Specially when they have come back to buy more, which is the case here, he technically came back to your establishment and made another charge after the swipe.
He is a scam artist and has probably done this before to others. I find it odd the bank protecting customers but not merchants running an honest business?
@@iamgabriel5823l think it's if you buy something on your card and it's say 'not as advertised' or it doesn't arrive and the seller disputes what your saying and refuses to refund you, you can then call your bank and they can issue a chargeback and get your money back directly from the sellers bank account! 👍
@@iamgabriel5823 basically a negative charge, i.e, the bank issuing a refund to the customer. They can legally do this because most credit card companies have an agreement in their contract that if a customer is unsatisfied with their purchase for whatever reason, they can cancel and refund 100% of the purchase within a certain time frame, could be 30-60 days or something like that. That's why merchants take a risk when they signup with a credit card processing company for business, especially if you own a mom-pop business.

I don't know what the world you're talking about but people get ahead like that all the time. Have you not seen the US government. They are a massive corporation that completely embezzles and launders the money of the US taxpayer For the sole purpose of manipulating people overseas as well as paying off lobbyist for favors and lastly to indulge in the lifestyle that they want to live while stacking their accounts with our money by the billions. Why do you think they were so hyper focused on Ukraine when the reality is they were the ones who caused Russia to invade. Well then alongside the help of France and Germany within the UN. Russia warned them that if they continue to flirt with Ukraine becoming part of NATO and bringing the military nuclear powers of their adversaries to their borders which of course is a route in which they have been invaded as a country the most and its history Then they would indeed have no other choice but to invade it and they told Russia Oh well kick rocks. Now of course they have a blank check of $150 billion that can't be audited that they can now launder into their offshore accounts and shell companies. So yes my friend These types of people get ahead doing this and they get ahead often.
Man you really worked hard for that sale. I have learned in my creative services business that the most power I hold as a vendor is the ability to say no and walk away from a deal.

I made the decision years ago to NOT join with two friends in the purchase and running of a used car dealership. It's because of just this story that I went another way. Now, when I sell a car I state clearly that I will either accept cash or will meet them at the bank with their cashier's check to validate that check and deposit into my account. When stories are told, I quickly cut it off and say, "none of that matters to me". I have a car. You want the car. I want cash. Bring cash or cashiers/bank check and we'll do business. I am a nice guy but I'm not here to make friends. This is a business transaction.
As a rule, you get the customers you deserve. If they're difficult at the beginning of the process, they're even more difficult at the end. Just like you, I tell them straight up front how I do business. If they don't like it, they can go elsewhere and dick about with someone else. lol.

Sorry this happened to you man. What you could’ve done is called Melvin on your phone and called JP Morgan on another phone and just told JP Morgan to be quiet and let him bury himself by admitting that he approved both transactions
FlyingWheels aka Craig is a scammer too. First of all, even with the $35,500 he received from Melvin, he still made a good profit. Second, he was happy that Melvin did what he did because it gave him very juicy content for a video. A video that will make him tons of money.

@user-ut1wf5eh7f Two things can be true at the same time. Did this dude blow past the red flags? Yes. Was the bank's response to the situation bs? Yes. Based on this video, anyone using a JP Chase credit card could charge back any online purchase. The guy in the video has multiple layers of documentation verifying the details of the transaction and the buyer that online transactions don't. Common sense should have solved this situation. And the Chase policy is so absurd it makes me wonder about whether banks are/can scam the system themselves. First issue the charge back and tell then when the seller appeals w paperwork tell them "tough break. Bank policy." Then turn around and tell the card holder the charge back was reviewed on appeal and has been denied. And the bank pockets the $.

@@kevinhiggler2896 what do you mean cover your code?
Out of your monthly allowance which I tell them that they have to learn how to budget. As long as they are living under my roof, with free room is board, it's my money that I worked Very hard for and they can wait and buy all of their Wants and Wishes when they are paying their own way. Just subscribed to your channel, great video. It’s very interesting to see the other side of the car sales scamming. Typically it’s the car dealers who are known for getting away with all manner of scams… and sadly, they frequently do. That being said, as a single father who works 4 jobs, there is nothing that pisses me off quite like being ripped off does. So I feel your pain, and applaud you for calling this scumbag out and presenting clear and damning proof. I think probably had I seen the dude using 3 different lifelines and about a dozen payment methods, I probably would have called the whole thing off (unless it was too late at that point?). But you acted with integrity and class, and showed way more restraint than I ever could! I sincerely hope your RUclips revenue from this video and the subs it may bring will far exceed the $500… you deserve it.
I glad you went through all the research and trouble to put this together getting scammed out 500.00 or any amount of money sucks. Exposing Melvin is priceless..

Yeah, good point. That 500 will show up real quick then, lol
I doubt Melvin can even fit in a Corvette without part of him falling asleep 😴 😂
Now you have to get photos of DL and buyer.
HA ! That would never happen today . You would be lucky to even get the cops to write a police report on it.
Jeff, I am missing the part where you tell us how he cheated you.

@4:25 "I'm saying it from my heart" - while wearing a shirt that says "Heartless" lmao...!!
It's gotten so bad here that in-home service people now wear the same cameras cops do so they can prove what they did and said.
rob ferretti (superspeedersrob), a car rental owner here on YT, had a video in the past where he had to use his in office cameras as well as some phone call recording software (legal in NJ, one part consent law), to get out of some scam. Not sure if you'd be able to get around it in New Hampshire with a "this phonecall is being recorded" message since it's a 2 party consent state or by having cameras inside the office, but it could have been helpful for the whole "CYA cover your A" thing.
It’s not that it’s gotten so bad its cameras are much smaller and cheaper now.

I’m a Realtor and title companies will only take wires for closing funds for that very reason bank checks can be altered.
What is a charge back?
I’ll give it to you Craig. You never shy away from showing your repeated business mistakes. The second he didn’t have all the cash you should have told him to walk.
I would imagine that being in used cars means you make a lot of compromises just to get sales. I doubt even 50% of his transactions are “clean”

If they don't like it, they can go elsewhere and dick about with someone else. lol.

Then turn around and tell the card holder the charge back was reviewed on appeal and has been denied. And the bank pockets the $.
