You did nothing wrong. You exposed a scammer, a thief. People should know this. It is time for these people to be called out, humiliated, and made to know their actions will have consequences.
At the same time it's important for people to remember that watching a youtube video shouldn't prompt you to try and get involved
@@jukeboxfandangoehh I’m glad other people do.

@@jukeboxfandangowhat would this world be if nobody helped anyone else out……oh yeah, that’s the crappy world we do live in now.
@Shaggy-im5kc - he's not asking for help, and usually when people take it upon themselves to get involved in situations they read about or saw a video about online, they think "help" is making threats and messing with a person's job
@@jukeboxfandango crazy enough, in this situation there is a bigger thing than just helping someone out….mine as just an overall statement for general help. This is beyond him and the need to hold people like this accountable for their actions. He did wrong and should be exposed. If the guy never answered the phone in the first place, there wouldn’t have been anything pointing to his indiscretions……but he did and claimed that he never had a car, that was the moment for me that made it completely fair game for him to be harassed 🤷🏼
After all this, Melvin would be smart to just send you $500 with an apology and partially redeem himself.
Thinkin Melvin is to stupid to do that, if you study him in the video footage, you will realize that we are dealing with a very stupid monkey.
If Melvin was a one time scammer who only tried this scam once with this type of backlash, then your right, he would most likely send the $500 and say there was some kind of mix up, but lifetime scammer will only cry about the payback they receive and never admit guilt.
Why would any scammer send money? Was that suppose to be a realistic comment or are you living in a fantasy world? That was an ignorant comment. Sounds like something someone without a true sense of reality would say. A scammer has no intention of making anything right, which is why it is called a "scam". I was in the car business for 25 years F Melvin I personally believe there should be a website exposing every fraudster that walks into a dealership
There should be a Web site showing everyone who has scammed someone I don't care if it was just a penny they should get called out for it.maybe we can setup a website like this.
I want to start a website “customer reviews”. They have no issue reviewing us, I want to do the same to them.
That’s an excellent suggestion a National list of Scammers 👍
Lots of dealers are scammers too.
Don't forget the dealerships themselves as they are fraudsters as well!

@@ShaneDeLong-sm4dqI was just going to comment that and you beat me to it!!😂😂
My wife and I literally saw that happen once. A diner got up to go to the restroom. Immediately someone else sat down, took a few bites and a sip, and walked away 🤣🤣🤣
One lesson from this situation is that if you ever do a scam exposure video you need to clarify that you do not want anyone to harass him or try to get revenge on him for you, but that the only intention was to warn people so they can both avoid that person as well as learn from the situation to gain more awareness on how these scams are done. That way you can deny liability if someone tries to act on your behalf and try to go after whoever is being exposed since you can claim that you made it clear that was not something you wanted and even clarified that such action should not be taken.
Yeah exposing a scammer pretty much unleashes him to every type of person on the other end of this screen. And some of them have dark thoughts like the guy who wanted to do a drive by. People don't like scammers so putting them out here you give him to the drive by guy, the hackers, the researchers, the trolls, police, every type of person you can imagine and a lot of people on the internet are bored and looking for some way to get back at a person like Melvin, if that's his real name. The bottom line is that now he is fucked whether the intent was good or not. He will get into trouble with people he doesn't want trouble from because they have already seen these videos and now it's open season on Melvin.
Unless you actually encourage people to commit crimes though, you're not responsible for other people's actions
I don't agree with this channel needing to tell his followers not to do anything. As long as he doesn't tell people to act a fool he doesn't need to tell people to behave themselves.

I'd argue it's been going on for much longer than the last 3 years. Maybe the exposing of the scam artists has increased in the last 3 years due to more content creators realizing calling out scams is a pretty big market with all the different types of scams out there, which is great, but these issues have definitely been occurring for longer than that and people have been fed up for much longer than 3 years.

Dude, the look on your face when you realize there are fans out there willing to do a friggin’ drive-by on his house is hilarious and priceless! Lmao
Dude, I'm going to follow you so I can remember you in the future. I lost my license for a dui and had to sell my car. When I can get my license back I'll be looking for a car. I too am overall a distrusting person but having watched your kids over the corvette makes me want to trust you. I would like to thank you for giving me a feeling of trust in people again.
I don't want to tie you up with non business nonsense but I just wanted you to know that I believe you are a good and honest person and I'd feel comfortable buying a car from you. Thank you
It's no mystery how a professional scammer has that much cash to plop down on a flashy vehicle!
