    Thanks for making these videos! They are incredibly helpful. I've been in the field for 4 months, and taking accurate impressions has been challenging. We use an alginator to mix but I think I'm going to hand mix from now on. Two weeks ago, in a rush, I started the alginator before I had mixed enough, and it went everywhere. Not on the patient fortunately! 😁

    • @DentalVibes
      @DentalVibes  2 года назад

      The alginator should make the mixing easier, but the key factor here is to learn the perfect consistency the alginate needs to be at for the impression. Once you master that, you’ll be golden! Good luck!

    I have a really hard time pulling out the dental trays. They get really stuck. My dentist doesn’t like me putting impression material on the upper impressions palatal/roof of mouth area. Any tips? Thank you

    • @DentalVibes
      @DentalVibes  2 года назад +1

      You can do a couple of things: try lowering the chair or reclining it a bit so that you can have better grasp of the tray while you are removing it. Make sure to grab the tray with one hand and then use the fingers on your other hand to help dislodge the tray. Also, you can ask the patient to say “aaah” while simultaneously pulling down on the tray to remove it-doing so allows the soft palate to release any possible suction it’s creating with the impression material. This takes practice!

    • @DentalVibes
      @DentalVibes  4 года назад +1

      Hey kassandra! Great question🙂 So sometimes the type of tray you have might be narrow. Try a different type of tray 🙂 Recently our office ordered a different type of trays from Patterson and we didn’t like it. The small was too small and the medium was too big 🙄 try to order a different type of trays and let us know 🙂

    • @DentalVibes
      @DentalVibes  4 года назад

      @@kassandracamacho6039 🤣🤣🤣 well maybe your impressions have tears or bubbles. Make sure your pouring technique is on point too. No bubbles. If there are holes in the models you should fill it in prior to making the trays. We hope this helps 😅

    Hi im going to start dental assistant school this year during Nov && my question is do we have to renew our license like very year or some ? And is that free or we have to pay some to renew all the time ? ( Sorry this question doesn’t have to do with impression’s but I hope y’all would help me with that concern ?)

    • @DentalVibes

      Jessica Aparicio hey Jessica! So I would check your state regulations. Every state is different, in Florida we don’t need to have a license. If your state requires a yearly renewal I’m sure it’s not free. I hope this helps 🙂

      They are growths of bone that can be found on the lingual side of the mandible but can also grow on the palate or the buccal of both arches. Usually don’t bother the patient but their presence in the mouth can make it challenging to take xrays!

    Are you both qualified to take x-rays and impressions for whitening by GDC standards. If not give it up now. I hope you have had an impression training course which is a legality in the UK in order to take impressions. Do you also have a radiography certificate as well as now there is no need for lead aprons. I am talking a proper GDC and NEBDN Certificate and Radiography. Only a GDC dentist can prescribe whitening and prescribe x-rays.

    I love your channel because you providing us informative information about dentistry, but please teach them this habit toooooooo,like. most of people don't say anything front of dentist, but they never like that habit, dentist touch their hands on contaminated surface with same gloves ,like you touch ur face mask and dirty chair, whel you working into patient's mouth , I don't understand why dentist not set up the patient first and then change the 🧤 with new one. Most of dentist so cheap the charge for VIP service and when they feel patient don't know anything about the service ,then they try to skip things and save money , why they don't realize that when someone get infection ,then they have to pay for this from their pockets for your mistakes..😢 they don't they have any humanity in their heart.
