The MAIN thing is to WATCH your doctor. Watch what he uses.. Learn his/ her ways. That’s how I learned. You guys are 100 correct.
New dental assistant here 🙋🏻♀️ I get nervous sometimes to be passing these materials to the doctor. I was wondering if you lovely ladies can do a video where your showing in how to pass these materials? 😅I’m learning the steps which honestly its so much! To memorize but not impossible!! Lol I guess it takes a lot of practice to get the speed going that the doctors want in us as dental assistant.
Love you videos! ❤️
I’ve been dental assisting for about four months now and I cannot tell you how much taking pictures of the set ups helped me! Also the notes book too.
Can you please share your pictures with me.. i am dental assisting since a month now
Can you please share the pictures
Sadly, some drs who know that the employee has no experience… finds it annoying n thinks that the employees should know this already. Things like that
demotivate me n makes me feel like I’m less than others. smh
Are u still working as an DA?
In this position now
So true
My dental teacher told me.... "It's easy as A.B.C.... acid etch, bond, composite."
That’s a great way to remember it!
im in school for dental assisting. Im doing really well on the school side of things but i know that actually doing everything hands on is completely different. Thank you guys for making these. Very very helpful.
Understanding why you need to do things step by step is very important. Understanding the entire procedure is also very important. Why? Because when you know the use of the instruments you'll know what to use 1st. Knowing what you use 1st will help you to understand why you do it in that particular step. And you'll simply learn faster. And WILL become easier for you to pack the trays. It helped me. I didn't attend to DA School but I got hired and trained as a dental assistant and my training completed within 3 months and I started teaching newbies as if I was a professional at what I do. I've been working as a dental assistant for 5 years and I loved it
I hope you guys will make more tray set ups and step by step procedure for every procedures in general dentistry ♥️🙏🏼
We will 🥰
Loved it it help me a lot
I took notes as I will need it for my new job :D
Yes i agree, shud be more of setup video plus we can learn and memorise the tools using🤣
I agree with you
I just started my first DA job last Monday and it is so overwhelming but knowing there’s resources out there helps so much and makes me feel more confident into going in! 😮💨
THIS CHANNEL IS WHAT I NEEDED THANK YOU!!! as a new dental assistant, thank you for making these videos! you gals are life savers!!
Did the first day of my Externship this week and your videos are an absolute LIFESAVER
I start externship Monday! This really helped! I’ll be back! My teacher charged us you guys’ videos ! Thank you both!
Hey I’m about to start, what did they ask in the interview if you had one?
I am currently doing my externships to become a RDA and these videos have helped me sooo much! Thank You Ladies.
As a patient, it's nice to understand exactly what my dentist is doing and why.
I work in Scotland and we have folder for new trainee dental nurses with pictures of materials and instruments for each procedure. They can take the folder home and "study" it :) xx
That’s a great idea! We’ve made that for the interns we receive as well 😄😄
Could I get a copy of that 😅
@@brandylt that’s such a great idea
Beautiful idea I wish we have the same here in US
@@DentalVibes Thank you for the good job you are doing. Please can I also have a copy of the file for the interns too.
Video looks much better on the phone ! I really needed this refresher.
Yall helped me ace the interview and now I'm studying for the work interview!!!! Thank you for taking the time to make this content for free!!!!!
🥰 make sure to watch out working interview video as well
Thank you ladies! You did a great job! I am returning to dental assisting after 10yrs maternity leave and watched for refreshing, and you covered it all👏 The only thing that I’d mention is that some drs don’t like chit chat during the procedure. My dr was like this, but I’m sure in the beginning they don’t mind you asking to be certain that you are anticipating their next step. But try and learn quickly so it exhibits confidence for the patient that you work seamlessly with the dr.
Thanks for the feedback 🥰 our dr loves to talk during procedures. Communication is key
So helpful video!! So well explain and so completely. I’m just starting my career as DA and I think your channel will be really helpful for me. Thanks!
Hope that you guys can film more videos about set up trays and steps for other treatments thank you for the video and you guys are awesome
As a doctor, I LOVE you both! Your dedication and care for the patients comes through in every video I've seen! And, you don't bash the doctors!!! Truly a team approach! Kudos!!!!
Thank you! 🥰🥰 our goal is to strengthen our dental community 💪🏼👍🏼
I'm going back to the dentist field as a DA thank you for refreshing my old memory !!! hugs =)

Love the video! Could yall possibly make a video on setting up for a root canal?
We plan on doing a video for every procedure set up 🙂
@@DentalVibes thanks 🙏🏻
I’m a Perio assistant and I’m watching this and am so lost 😂 lol you all should interview different specialty dental assistants and have them talk about their specialty and their duties😊
Thats on our queue! We are definitely connecting with assistants in different specialties, we just have to start coordinating recording times 🤓
Carla I love your hair black 😍
Thank you! It’s not quite black but deep dark brown, I’m loving it too! especially the low maintenance lol 😉
This was so helpful I start my extern ship in January and I'm so nervous. Can you do more videos like this of all common different setups and procedures ? 🥺🦷
We Will 🙂
You ladies are life savers !!!!!!! I just started my first DA position and im so nervous but you ladies going through the complete procedure with all instruments and materials to refer back to helped me retain this information so much better ...thank you ladies I loved alll the videos
@@ravenfranklin2028 you got this!
As soon as the ablation of the enamel layer is done, and we get into the dentine, the slow speed is needed in order to not over heat the pulp tissue,or accidentally open the pulp chamber. Even though most high speed hand pieces use water to cool the tooth during drilling,in the dentine is not the same,as through the dentinal tubules any sort of physical, termal or chemical stimulants are transmitted to the pulp, and the stress can cause necrosis of the pulpar tissue.Depending of the size of the cavity, the walls, the excavation region,a fracture can be avoided by using slow speed handpieces. If it is a cervical cavity, there is only cement structure, and high speed handpiece can get the operator fall directly into the canal and not only, cut the marginal or interproximal gingiva. It is always about envisioning the structures we work on. By the book, high speed is only used to brake enamel crystals,so only for enamel layer.
Great explanation! But some drs don’t use the slow speed often
Maybe a part missing is showing the instruments setting in order of procedure, starting with the basic set up, discoid-cleoid etc so you can showing passing instruments following each step :). but in general its very helpful, thank you for doing that.
ps can you do please even d=some video on how to great the patients for each procedure? :)
can you please make a crown set up as well? thank you so much for these videos.
We have it 🦷 ruclips.net/video/Thfc-XLmIOI/видео.html
Very nice video. Good jod girls 👏👏
Thank you!
I have to do this for an exam for school! So stressed
im starting dental assistant , and i need help to set up trays
Do a video on how to put nitrile gloves on at the dentist for kids
And tray set ups
Cavity is deep concerned about the pulp
Hi for the externship are you going to watch the procedure first before actually doing it? Or they have you jump right in?
It depends on the office. Usually the first day you watch and start sterilization
im going to extern in a couple of months what office to do you reccomend for your first ever office?
A general office that does a little of everything
Hey girls thankyou very very much for your informative video. Please can you explain what is interpoximal is exactly? I will really appreciate it!!
In between the teeth 🦷
@@DentalVibes thanks!
heyy so i found y’all channel and y’all do amazing videos 🤍 i wanted to ask u a question so I’m from tx and I want to start as a dental assistant and then see if I want to be a dental hygienist but for dental assistant do I need to go to college or can I apply to a program right after I graduate high school because I’m a senior ?
Hey! You can apply to a dental assisting program straight out of high school. Make sure you research the type of program though. An accredited program that provides an externship is preferred 🙂 good luck and let us know how it goes 🦷✨
@@DentalVibes with the program I’m going to be a CDA right but what to I need to do to become a RDA ?
@@alexamurillo3219 you have to check within your state
What happens if you’re not allowed to have your phone to take a pic of the setup?
Can you explain further which action is the dentist and which is the assistants? For instance who is putting on the metal strip and wedge that goes around the tooth for an inter proximal? And after etching you said the dentist is the one drying?
It depends on the what certifications/license the DA has. Here in Florida we are EFDA. We can place the band/wedge. Usually, we only place it if the dentist needs to get up to see another patient quick. If no breaks are needed then the dentist usually puts it on. As far who rinses and dries it depends on the flow of the Dr & DA. Same thing for who cures the composite. Some drs like the DA to do it some want to do it themselves. Every Dr. works differently.
Do you guys check in and check out lab cases?
Yes we do! But I once worked at an office where the front desk team would check the in/out but the DAs were still responsible for making sure we would have them for the time the pt was coming to the appt.
Thank you so much.👍😁
I hit the like button.
What's the most impotant thing that you need as a dental assistant?
You do a great job. Dentistry is absolutely interesting. 👍👍👍
Thank you for commenting on that!! LOL indeed dentistry is a very dynamic field that we are happy to be a part of!
@@DentalVibes Thanks 👍😊
You guys forgot about one of the most important step " dental dam". Good video by the way. Thanks
Not everyone uses it 🙂
Hey y’all !! ☺️
Hey girly heyyy🙂
❤️❤️❤️
Can you do a video like this for crowns? Step by step?
Here it is! ➡️ ruclips.net/video/Thfc-XLmIOI/видео.html
@@DentalVibes thank you ☺️
I know the answer!
What about Silano after etching.?
That’s just a brand of bond
Can you talk about when we use the composite gun for which tooth surface
I am still confused about when the doctor needs the composite gun. Sometimes I proper it but he doesn't need it
Please help me
When the filling is really small flowable only. But, it depends on drs preference too. Talk to your dr about this
🖤💖🦷
i
love you guys so much but why does every video have a loud echo
Thank you girl😅 We need to get microphones that’s why 🥴
I know the answer To smoothen the tooth surface/enamel.
And tips how haven children for clients
Can you close the noise? It is not clear
Thanks guys for those tips but the music in the background is really distracting
When you say that doctors don't like to waste products... would that include the disposable composite tips ? Let's say he uses a new one and doesn't finish it. He'll want to save it and use it for the next patient.
Some drs yes
doc would use slowspeed because he doesnt want to get to close to the nerves
Not every doctor uses the slow speed
I know the answer
Can we buy your shirts. I love them
Thank you!
dentalvibes.bigcartel.com/
Can you also mention that #13 is which tooth?
Upper left second premolar
What is that tool called where you file in between your teeth ?
Instrument** not tool 😅 if you’re referring to polishing in between the teeth when there’s an overhang it’s called the interproximal polishing strip
@@DentalVibes yes , thank you , thank you . That is what I’ve been looking for . I’m getting invisible aligners .I have a issue between my teeth so I need to file them down in the middle so they look straighter .my 2 teeth in the front have more of a triangle shape instead of a square.
@@NoBs48 well in that case that procedure is called IPR and it’s done by your Dentist while you’re in the process of braces. Sometimes they do it the day you get your first tray and sometimes you have to do it multiple times in between new trays
@@DentalVibes what do you recommend?
@@NoBs48 what do you mean? Lol
Take take out slowly the decay
I know, they get too close to the pulp.
Why did our teacher tell us liner goes before etch and prime and bond?
Liner “pulp cap” is ONLY necessary when decay is close to pulp. And yes, it goes before etch
I know the answer .
i know the answer
I love your content but the videos echo alot
