Normally butter is better, but not when the oil has all the meat flavor and bits in the bottom of the pan. That's some of the best part of the gravy imo.
Just made this tonight and it's hands down the best gravy I've ever made! I have your seasoned flour, awesome cheat code. But since I'm doing the dishes, i just drained the oil and used the same pan. That way I i still got the flavor and bits. Great recipe!

LOL I know this is an older video but my Mom (Japanese) taught me to put soy sauce in brown gravy many years ago when I was teen so that was before Mr. Make It Happen was even born! Dish looks great this is one of my favorites smothered pork chops. I'm half Black and Japanese so my taste buds are eclectic.

Made these last night. Mine stuck to the pan. I used a stainless steel pan. Maybe the oil wasn't quite hot enough? It was 300+ but when I went to flip them a minute or too in, they were stuck. The flavor came out great regardless but will have to try again to not lose the crust.
Hey @bobbylane589😊. I also have a problem with my porkchops getting stuck, and losing that delicious crust😔. My pans are so old, though. I need to invest in some new ones. As long as it tastes good, that's all that matters..right?❤

you are on point with this point. Only other thing missing to put this next level is to add some bell pepper to the gravy.
Totally agree with you on that. He kind of lost me with adding the cream to the gravy. Seems like an unnecessary step. Have you tried that before?

@@jacquelinedavis253 I remade them and got the pan super hot BEFORE adding the oil and also waited for the oil to come to temp. They didn’t stick.
