I can't believe my eyes are wet because of a game i used to play when i was a little girl! Sooo much memories... How i loved The Sims 1 and it's simplicity, although in that time it looked to me like something magical, a unique game where i could enter a beautiful, new world and play for hours and hours. After The Sims 1 i've played the rest of the series, but that feeling of pure happiness only the first one had given to me. Thank you for bringing me back so great memories of my childhood! :)

One of my favorite additions to The Sims 3 is the ability to -sleep with- interact with pretty much ANYBODY, Townie and NPC alike, as apposed to the Sims1 where you couldn't even interact with half the NPCs and the ones you could only had one or two options depending on their function in the game.

For the record: If you have Superstar and Makin' Magic installed, *Superstar Doors do NOT stop Angry Pet Dragons from setting things on fire.* Also, Angry Fiery Dragons take crisp interest in stairs.

I rewatched this entire series for the first time in a while this Summer, and had the idea of making a compilation of the funniest moments in the series and uploading it today to mark the occasion, but life's been busy so I haven't had the chance. Maybe I'll do it in the future though.

I was pleased with supernaturals it has a lot of stuff to play with but The Makin Magic expansion has such a strong atmosphere and taste that they really haven't brought to the table since. It just had such a strong personality, when I load up this old game magic town is still as amazing as it ever was.
i randomly got the urge to pick up sims 1 complete collection, and while im waiting for it to install i was like "LGR probably has a series on sims 1" And i wasnt disappointed lol

one thing i love about the sims 1 is the worlds are diverse. Like on the vacation island they have part of it beach, part normal grass, and part snow. Here in the magic town we have the pretty autumn light side, the kinda normal side, and the creepy/eerie side
This was my favorite expansion pack. I hope they will update it and combine it with the undead creatures like the vampires, werewolves, zombies, etc. it would be fun. Maybe I missed the Super Natural one. Was it TS3? I never really got into TS3. Never got past the original game in TS3.
One day, I plan to make a Sims-esque type of game, taking heavy inspiration from the best features of each sims game and the involved mods, while being a more all-in-one style of game rather than selling 20 expansions. Though it wouldnt be as serious as the Sims 1 Vanilla, but not as crazy as a fully DLC-ed later sims game.

Like I never understood why EA never hired someone who for example played the sims when he/she was younger, someone who really grew up with the sims and knows which aspects of the game should be upgraded because they are so enjoyable insted of removing them! For example the fact that every household in the sims had a photo book, so you could maken pictures of funny situations and give them an even funnier caption and you could look at them again an again, I missed that so much in the sims 2, because it really made me make connections with my families (I do like that you can make pictures in the sims 2 and hang them om the wall but still). Also I miss the whole 'making magic' world with their spells, ingredients and cool characters, also the world where you could become a celebrity and also the city where you could go out with your sim and buy chocolat and teddybears which was so cool! Sight I wish the sims 4 would have been an open world with upgraded version of all the stuff the sims and the sims 2 have. My mother would give me all her old sims games for me to play on when she got the expansion packs, cause I used to watch her when she played and it bugged her. So I started playing Sims in second grade, and by the time MM came out I was in fourth grade, and so addicted. I remember recreating the whole cast of Halloweentown in one house.

The only bad thing about this expansion is how hard it is to afford a house in Magic Town. The duels are easy to win, once you know which spells wins over which, however, you get almost no magic coins per battle. :PP The logic skill does help, though
The problem is that a lot of these expansions require some effort and grinding to get anywhere. Creativity to be a superstar, logic, and pets are a responsibility all on their own. These vids were great for a laugh, but only because I knew full well the way you'd be playing them disaster was inevitable :P Great memories though. The Sims 1 had a lot of charm.
RIP Duke. I'd love to see Bustin' Out, that was always my favourite :) And the Sims 2 as well, I still play that one since my old computer is too slow for the new stuff, and it's still awesome.
