      Welcome brother, I think you'll love the gun. And to answer your question yes you can epoxy primer then paint. Just don't let the car sit around for too long after epoxy. Try to paint it soon after. And don't let much rain water get on it. It can rust.

    Hi Trigger! Love the finish and your videos, always teaching something new. Could you please help me out with the problem? Some days ago I wanted to respray my motorcycle gas tank. Unfortunately I made some burn throughs. And when I’m spraying around that burn through it bubbles, shrinks I don’t know how to say properly but I think you got idea. What’s the best tip to avoid that? Thanks!

    • @thetriggerman954
      @thetriggerman954  Год назад +1

      Thank you sir, as for that problem it sounds pretty much like the paint is reacting the the paint layers that have been burned. Few things you could do. #1 use some type of primer, epoxy ideally but any 2k primer. Or if you want to go a smaller, quicker, cheaper route You can try a spray can primer the one that I've been using lately and recommend is a product by Upol it's called High #5 it's a high build primer in an aerosol can. Spray a light coat let it sit for a minute give it a scuff with a maroon Scotch-Brite or a piece of 800, spray another light coat do that about three or four times. Then spray your paint. There is a affiliate link for the primer in a can in case you are interested.
      www.amazon.com/dp/B003TQIMDE/?tag=thetriggerman-20
      #2 You can under reduce your base coat if the base calls for 1:1 then go about 20% under that. Make sure you give light Mist coats in the beginning so that the chemicals don't interact and start to wrinkle. And most importantly make sure you are using a fast reducer.
      Hope this helps some. In the future you can message me on IG for a faster response. These RUclips comments come in hours later for some reason. Thank you 💪🏼

    I'm using the same gun with a 80 gallon compressor Ingersoll two stage it's beefy and never runs out of air triggerman I sprayed my car with this gun and it came out SPITTING and ended up laying splattery /splattering on the panel..
    I just finished sanding all the runs and splattering and orange peel and want to insure this doesn't happen again
    Why does paint splatter? When spraying is it too thick and needs more reducing or is it laxk of air?

    • @thetriggerman954
      @thetriggerman954  Год назад

      Could be air pressure to low, and or paint to thick. What air pressure are you spraying it at? 80 gallon you have enough air to paint a boat so that's definitely not the case. Look at the gauge you should be up at least 22psi for base and 30psi for clear. In my opinion I get excellent results at that pressure. And then just make sure your paint is reduced to the correct ratio. If it's still thick try adding a little more reducer in small increments until the viscosity is where you need it to be.

    Triggerman. You've previewed a few inexpensive guns and all seemed to lay down the paint very well. So which one would you recommend if you could only buy 1 the Eastwood Concours LT100 HVLP Spray Paint Gun 1.3mm, the fake DeVilbiss DV1 Spray Gun, or The Porphis PRD-717 VS TYPE or this VEVOR? Maybe do a video of the best of the top 5 or best of top 10 spray guns it would be very cool to know your opinion on the best of the cheap guns. Also what 1 tip will work 1.4 or 1.3 for bace, clear and single stage? I am an old school conventional Devilbiss 30 tip painter and have Never used an HVLP even 1 time. I shoot a lot of single stage and some base coat clear coat but only when it comes to metallics. Thanks in advance......

    • @thetriggerman954
      @thetriggerman954  3 месяца назад

      That's a tough question to answer. I'll try to be as close as I can to accurate for you. All of these spray guns can achieve the same finish when you ask a tip size there is no one size fits all each of these spray guns have their tip size from 1.2 1.3 1.4 each one of those tip sizes are not precisely the size that they indicate they are. My primary Iwata Gun that I use is a 1.4 If I use a 1.3 I cannot achieve the same finish that I get with a 1.4 unless it's a really cold day. Then switch over to sagola if I use a 1.4 in a Sagola I will have about 10 runs in the job. So I have to use a 1.3 or 1.2 . Your climate has more to do with selecting your tip size you may generally want to watch it channel that sprays in your same environment I'm in Florida it's hot extremely hot and humid here if where you live are the same conditions the majority of my content will be suitable for your spraying conditions. All of those cheaper spray guns are pretty much the same thing in my honest opinion as you see any of those spray guns I get excellent results for the price so far vevor is hands down a better buy. You can damn there get three be or guns for the price of the Porphis gun. I actually have a good comparison video I'm about to drop. I might drop it this weekend. The porphis spray gun is just The newest shiny gun on the market that everyone's talking about but it's no big deal man I don't like to tell guys to go out and spend it hard earn money when it's really nothing spectacular over the next budget friendly spray gun. I only demo them to show you guys that they are capable. But they all are capable

      @ricksteelcustoms3196 3 месяца назад

      @@thetriggerman954 Thanks for your detailed response Triggerman much appreciated. I live in El Paso Texas so yes it is as hot as Florida but we always have extremely low humidity aka a really dry heat which is very nice because it cuts way down on the sweat dripping on the freshly sprayed paint.
      So going by what you posted I am better off buying a gun that comes with or I can order several different size tip options. I would LOVE to see you compare your Vevor to the Porphis PRD-717 VS TYPE
      I don't mind spending a little more money for a better built, longer lasting gun even if it only lays down the paint marginally better. But that said if the Vevor is built just as well and lays down the paint just as well then that is a no brainer I would go with that gun.
      I remember your video of the black widow with the $90.00 Eastwood Concours LT100 HVLP Spray Paint Gun 1.3mm And you liked the Eastwood better, is that still your opinion? Have you tried the $180.00 Eastwood Concours PRO HVLP Spray Paint Gun 1.3mm or the $276.00 Master Elite Performance PRO-88 Series HVLP Spray Gun?
      Sorry to take up so much of your time but I value your opinion. One last question assuming you tried both the Black widow HTE 2.0 and the Black widow HVLP Which of those to do you prefer?
