I have the Beastgrip Pro and the Weebill 3s.. How do you get zoom and focus control? Or do you just shoot without zooming at all and just set it on auto focus?
I’m now using the DJI RS 3 Mini with an iPhone 15 Pro Max Beastcage, the phone and the 58mm filter mount with up to two filters. That’s all I need the gimbal to carry. There are several RUclips videos on balancing (I liked Otto Julian’s), and the DJI Ronin app balance test says that my balance is “Excellent”. There are discussions about my setup, a photo of the setup, and a screen capture of the balance test results on the Blackmagic Forum and in the Facebook Group iPhone Cinematography. The RS 4 Mini not having been released yet, the RS 3 Mini currently costs a discounted US$269. I paid B&H $220 for one in “as new” condition. Beastgrip’s recommended RS 3 Pro, now superseded by the RS 4 Pro, is far heavier and sells for $869. If you want a middle ground, the RS 4 is $549. The RS 4 might or might not be necessary for a Beastgrip Pro, or if you start adding accessories to the payload such as external storage, a mic, a light, etc. Add enough stuff and no doubt you can get to the point of needing an RS 4 Pro :)
Thanks for sharing your experience and insights! It's great to hear that you're achieving excellent balance with the DJI RS 3 Mini and the iPhone 15 Pro Max Beastcage. Your detailed setup and results are valuable for the community. Happy filming!
Second this ☝️ I emailed support and they recommend a DJI Ronin-SC - Camera Stabilizer, 3-Axis Handheld Gimbal for DSLR and Mirrorless Cameras I'm having a hard time setting up. Please help!!
@@beastgripTV I’m already using the DJI RS 3 Mini with a Beastcage, iPhone 15 Pro Max and filters. No counterweight needed. The Ronin app, after a balance test, says balance is “Excellent”. The current RS 4 Pro, successor to the RS 3 Pro that you recommend, is much heavier and costs an additional US$600. I’ve elaborated on the Mini in another post here.
@@beastgripTV Please Help! I’m using the RS3 but the plate is too long and when I’m in wide angle you can see the plate. I noticed your set up is much closer to the end of the plate are you using an after market part to achieve this???
Two questions, can you do a video showing vertical mounting w/ the .75 lens? & what is the mounting part shown next to the lens at 2:14? Thanks, great products!!
@@ianjohnson1009 Make sure the lens is upside down, like you see in the video but on the RS3 mini, the base plate should be attached on the left side. The video shows the plate attached on the right side but it would not work for the RS3 mini, just attach it on the left side. Then just go ahead and adjust each of the 3 axis to perfect balance and run the calibration. Believe me it works. Just keep trying. Once you get it, the next time it will be very easy. You can even add filters ( I used a VND on anamorphic 1.33 and 1.55, 1.7 tele and .75 wide and they all balanced fine on the RS3 Mini.
It's a bit of a struggle on Weebill 3 gimbal, I contacted Zhiyun support and they claim they haven't tested it with phone cages and it is only meant for cameras. Does the beastcage need counter weight for better balancing on weebill 3?
We have successfully balanced the Beastcage on Weebill 3 in this video. Have you had a chance to watch the full video? It provides step-by-step instructions on how to balance the Beastcage with the Weebill 3 without the need for counterweights. If you still encounter issues, please let us know, and we’ll be happy to assist you further.
@@beastgripTV Weebill no longer ships with the tiny adapter for the phone you showcase in this video. They have switched to a tiny quick release system which doesn't work with phone cages. I had to order an adapter from Amazon to make it work. May be you should account for that....
Excellent video, question, I have the ronin rs4, using this cage for my iphone 15 pro max its possible to shot vertical or not? Thanks in advance.
Useful tips & tricks thanks for nice uploads

1:43 @beastgripTV what plates are you using here to attach the rig to the gimbal?

Can i use that rig on my DJI RS4 PRO Gimbal with my iPhone 15 p4o max?
Yes pls do more videos with the full setups and with those MK2 lenses.
thank you for tour feedback!
Love the thumbnail ❤
Thank you so much!
Is it possible to produce 9:16 clips in a Beastgrip rig setup with a gimbal?
Excellent work
Thanks for this video. What's the reason that you list the DJI RS3 Pro but not the standard or Mini?

DJI Ronin-SC or DJI Mini are too small gimbals and they might need additional counterweights to balance it properly.

it's SSD holder
Can I use the DJI Ronin SC with your cages?
I would love to see some stuff with the Beastcage/iPhone and Gimbals on Steadicam's Steadimate RS
Great. Now I know how which gimbal to buy
😊
Will it work on a DJI RS4?
Hopefully the 16 max pro cage comes out soon
We are working on it, will do all we can to release it as soon as possible.
Works well with the DJI RS3 Mini with VND filter on all the large lenses.
Can you elaborate on how you got this balanced correctly? I just got the rs3 mini and I can’t get it balanced correctly

Would the zhiyun cinepeer work?
yes it will work, as it is the same model as Weebill 3
Thanks so much

A more detailed version would be helpful with all the accessories/gimble rig
thanks will do that!
Cannot for the life of me get it to balance with my wide angle lens on my beast cage!
no brainers on the video's
