    A year later, after having watched this video from you, I received my beast cage and the anamorphic 1.33 lens. Just awesome with my iPhone 13 Pro Max put into Prores 422 HLG.
    During daylight, footage comes very close to my S1H with a Sirui 50mm full frame.
    And, the case is built like a tank as is the lens.

    The more I think about this setup the more I like it. It's a setup that's phone, camera & rig agnostic. As long as you have a way to mount the filter to a phone, camera or rig you're good. I've always shied away from buying anything that's proprietary.

    Hay man. Thanks again for great video.. two things: Moment has a filter adaptor you could probably attach to the cage and use stepuprings BUT personally I have had huge problems with the Moment mount. Once you attach the lens-filter-combination or even just the filter you must never turn the filter (vnd or pola f.ex) counter clock wise otherwise you run the risk that the whole system deattaches and falls to the ground🤔 I hope this will correct itself once I get the Beastcage (this happens with their own plastic mounts) otherwise I have lenses that I dont want to use anymore…it’s just not something you want to think about. I hope this is not a universal problem with mobile lenses-you should be able to securely attach the lens to its mount. Simple as that. Anyway. Thanks and by the way: what is the quick lock you use under the Beasthandle? Have great weekend👍

    • @iphoneographers
      @iphoneographers  Год назад

      Yeah I like Moment lenses but their filter mounts just slip on, at least the ones that I use. The ones that go over the end of the lens. That’s why I like the Beastgrip for more secure setups. And then this new filter mount adapter is great when you don’t use lenses.
      I made a video about rigging a Moment lens and a filter… ruclips.net/video/ZksswE7gIsY/видео.html.
      And I’m using a Beast handle which there’s a link in the description and then a Ulanzi quick release amzn.to/3AaZ0jC. Thanks for watching!

    Thanks for a really interesting video. The filter adapter is a most welcome addition but I do wonder if the large gap at the bottom of the adapter will allow light in and, when used with ND100, will spoil the image quality. I'd be most interested in hearing your thoughts.

    • @iphoneographers
      @iphoneographers  Год назад

      The gap at the bottom is for the Ultra Wide, at least if I’m understanding what you’re saying. So in my initial use so far it works well.

    Moondog Labs Multi-Camera 52mm Filter Mount V3 for Select Moment iPhone Bayonet Cases.
    If you want to use 52 mm nd filters instead of 58 mm with the Beastgrip cage then the new MoondogLabs filter mount will do the job. I attached it to the Moment bayonet and then screwed on a B+W 52 mm VND filter.

      Cool. Yeah I like that. And it works for using one lens at a time. But then you have to switch them out to use the other one and of course it doesn’t work with the Ultra Wide using it on the Beastcage.

    If I use the Anamorphic 1.33x from BeastGrip and use the FreeWell Filters (that are magnetic filters with the proprietary case as far as I know), using this StepUp Ring I CAN couple it, right?
