    The only cage on the market that allows using Beastgirp lenses and filters, Moment lenses (or other lenses with Moment style bayonet mount), and M17 lenses like Sandmarc and many other brands. Precise fit and alignment of external lenses for the best possible performance with the new iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max. Standard 1/4"-20 mounts and built-in cold shoe mount give plenty of options to build a perfect iPhone filmmaking rig. The beastgrip cage for the iPhone 14 Pro truly is an amazing piece of gear for everyone who wants to shoot better iPhone Videos.

    I just stumbled across your video after seeing the beast grip on a fb ad. I’m old but want to learn to do videos on my phone. I’m retired and time to learn something new. Don’t have a clue about video editing either. I’ll be watching your other videos too. Thank you for a great quality video.
    PS: Could you use the beast grip for just taking regular pictures too I presume? Especially if it’s an easy way to attach an array of lenses.

    • @umbertoaguiar
      @umbertoaguiar Год назад +2

      Hi. It's quite the opposite. I use Beastgrip tele lenses (the 2.0 and the 1.7) for interviews only. I never use it for landscapes. I did use them to shoot landscapes and was rather disappointed. It's better to use iPhone own lenses with ND filters when shooting landscapes. I am thinking in terms of video but it seems that you are talking photography? Anyway, I don't think it will make a difference.

    • @masoud.art.videos
      @masoud.art.videos Год назад

      @@umbertoaguiar I think I may have confused you. I meant portrait mode as in shooting vertically as accepted by social platforms like Instagram. I did eventually buy anamorphic lens but returned it, main issue was I tend to keep my workflows simple. Desqueezing was yet another step I didn’t want to take. It was good lens though after some testing and beastgrip has good service.

    • @bshinjp
      @bshinjp Год назад

      Yes it would. It could hold more than 445grams. Don’t know the limit but 445 was easy to handle for the 5s. The 300g limit on the box is bogus it can handle way more unlike the om6.

    Thanks for your review. I work with iPhone 13 Pro. I have both the 1.7 x and the 2 x Beastgrip tele lenses. This comment is for people who use iPhone 13 Pro ONLY. I don’t know how those lenses work with iPhone 14 Pro.
    I am returning the new lenses, the 1.7. Why?
    The quality of image is pretty similar to the 2x . If anything, the old 2x lens creates brighter images with a little less resolution but a more blurred background.
    The old 2x lens is also smaller and easier to pack. The 2x lens’ lid is much easier to put on. The lid for the new 1.7x lens is rubbish and sometimes I think it’s locked when it isn’t . Not safe, is it?
    The 1.7 is an excellent lens but is by no means the revolutionary lens that Beastgrip is claiming it to be.
    All Beastgrip ND filters are 58 mm yet Beastgrip released a new lenses which is 62 mm. It’s called irresponsible manufacturing. A step down filter does cause vignetting if the iPhone is on a tripod or handheld with stabilisation off. There is no vignetting if I shoot handheld with stabilisation on. What goes to show that you do lose with stabilisation.
    Yes, I can zoom in and remove the vignetting if I am using a tripod but that would be a
    lousy way of working. It is on the slippery slope towards bad working practices and second class equipment .
    I bought two Freewell ND filters on Amazon with instalments. I am still paying for them but can’t use those filters with the new lens. It’s more than the vignetting. I also don’t like the idea of my filter getting stuck on a cheap step down ring and also don’t like the idea of having one more element/space between the filter and the lens.
    I would need to buy a new set of 62 mm filters just to use a lens which is not really better than the one I’ve already have.
    I will post a review about the two lenses but it might take a week as it’s going to be a lot of editing work.
    I shot indoors with my iPhone 13 Pro using both lenses and five different cam apps: Cinema P3, Beastcam, MoviePro, Promovie and Moment. I also shot outdoors, using only P3, and tried the new Mackie shotgun for phones.
    I am posting this comment here because I want people to know, the sooner the possible, that the new Beastgrip lens is no revolution .
    It’s an excellent lens but if you already have the 2x then don’t waste your money.
    If you have a Moment or a Sandmarc lens then it’s worth getting the Beastgrip lens. The Shiftcam tele lens is better than Moment’s and Sandmarc’s lenses and as good as Beastgrip’s lens but you can’t attach a filter to it so by all means get the Beastgrip then. P.S. It seems that Sandmarc has released a new tele lens. My observation is about their previous lens.

      So you are returning a lens that you never purchased? Tell people how you were able to purchase and receive the lens from Amazon US before the lens was available on Amazon.

    • @umbertoaguiar
      @umbertoaguiar Год назад +1

      @@beastgripTV Thanks for making me laugh. I bought the lens on Amazon UK on 23 January . I used the fast delivery option and received the lens about 5 days later. The seller was Amazon US. It says on Amazon UK's site that the lens was available since 19 January. I put the link here but it has been deleted. . I understand that you are upset because I've been criticising the lack of compatibility of your new lens with your entire line of filters but YOU REALLY SHOULD DO SOME BASIC RESEARCH BEFORE ACCUSING A POSTER OF NOT BEING TRUTHFUL.
      The irony is that I really liked the 1.7 lens. It's clearly better than the 2.0 but it's not better to the point of justifying the purchase of a set of 62 mm ND filters, especially when I am still paying (Amazon UK, instalments) for the 58 mm Freewell filters that I bought exclusively to use with your 2.0 lens. I would like to keep the lenses and am returning it, as I've already explained, because I just can't afford to spend at least £200 in a new set of ND filters. The cheapest set is Freewell, with two VND filters, 2 to 5 stop and 6 to 9. Ideally, I would go for B+W but that would be twice the price! The 1.7 is an excellent lens so it would be silly to buy a £50 filter to put on it.
      P.S. Things changed and what I said in the last paragraph is not valid anymore. I kept the 1.7 lens because I talked to amazon uk and they accepted the return of my 58 mm filters despite the fact that I had bought them months earlier. ``
      I posted a review, 'BEASTGRIP TELE LENSES AND CINEMA P3' . I have there a photo proving that I bought the 1.7 on 23 January 2023. The person who works for beast grip and doubted that I could have the lens is very ill informed. Amazon US is not the only Amazon . There is Amazon UK, FR, IT, DE etc. Beastgrip, open your eyes to the world.
