Why aren’t Liverpool going for Calafiori? He has been brilliant for Italy both defending and going forward. He has lots of potential and yet they are letting Juventus taking the lead in signing him? It makes no sense. Why isn’t Richard Hughes using his Italian connection?
"Letting". Italian player don't really like leaving Italy, Juventus is also hugely attractive for them, especially with Thiago Motta, who was Calafiori's coach, taking over at Juventus too.

We don't kow who LFC are going for, which is probably a good thing because we don't want to do scouting for other clubs or have bidding wars i nthe press.
(as a real madrid fan who is pretty heavily into rma) i can see where the links come from but don't expect Real to play 4-4-2 diamond next season imo, it will most likely be a 4-3-3 next season like 22-23 when benzema was still there, and by that Rodrygo starts easily on the right for Real for now, i think there is no chance that he leaves this summer (he wont leave cause he might not get playtime, not a guarantee), also Real will have from 5000 to 6000 minutes of (base) gametime next season depending on how far we go in each competition so there will be lots of minutes to be played, im not saying that i cant ever see Rodrygo leave but certainly not this year, he wont risk leaving cause what might or might not happen
There's a thing called depth and rotation, it's funny that it's somehow unrealistic for other clubs to have but somehow people want to have every positions doubled for us.
They can have a front 3 of Vinicius, Mbappé, Rodrygo. Guler can rotate between Bellingham and Rodrygo, Endrick can rotate with Mbappé and Vinicius. You still have a double pivot of Camavinga - Tchouaméni (who has his injury history) - Valverde. Remember that Kroos is retiring after the Euro, Modric is not getting any younger. That's quite realistic considering Endrick and Guler are still teenager and Joselu is leaving.

It's more likely that Santos turned down the 3 million offer, not Rodrygo. That's way too low for someone a Brazilian team considere a gem. There's a cultural aspect too. Due to media here, italians and spanish clubs are always more appealing to players. Maybe playing in Europe opened his eyes on what it means to play for a club like Liverpool.

I can’t believe any rumors about liverpool doing anything anymore. I put any rumor on bs island until the here we go at this point. I’m worried we’re gonna struggle mightily to recruit top tier talents without Klopp because our wage structure and transfer budget is so much lower than other big clubs. Still 95% of the offseason to go so plenty of time to make moves still. But I just have a bad feeling about it for some reason.
