Torres and Gerrard... the best duo in premier league history. I still remember the day when my dad got me a Liverpool shirt when I was a kid and I loved it. He told me a lot about Premier League and Liverpool and so on and I was fascinated. He told me about Torres and Gerrard and those were his favourite players. Since then I got hooked into it. The Fernando Torres are was one of the best in premier league history. He was a magician. A liverpool Legend and one of the best players to ever play in the golden era of Premier League. Also Gerrard, The captain and the heart of the club... These guys made an amazing history.
The power of money. In those days, Chelsea were like today's Man City. Sadly, Sir Kenny did not do well with the money Liverpool got for him. Klopp, on the other hand, put the proceeds from the sale of Coutinho to very good use.
Liverpool did a great move selling him in 2011. After his knee injury he was done. Chelsea should have never bought him, he was a lesser Drogba at that point.
My favourite player🎉 I became Liverpool & Spain fan only because of this legend 🔥🔥🔥 Later he went to Chelsea, is a worst selection but me became a chelsea fan... Till now CFC fan 💙💙💙, blues Liverpool is my 2nd team. Szobozlai will become another Gerrard soon. ♥️♥️♥️ Red still remains in my blood. Blues for ever
You are a player fan then, not a team fan. I have an uncle who was a fan of Kevin Keegan. He followed him, and became a fan of Liverpool, then Hamburg SV, then Southampton, Newcastle...and so on until the legend retire.
Got to be one of the most overrated players of all time. Nostalgia merchants will say otherwise but his peak only lasted a few years and if he made mistakes like that nowadays he would be destroyed online
Suarez made himself are u a joke🤣🤣🤣. Suarez didn't score even 5 goals against the top 4 sides during his time. Watch his highlights he's Norwich man in the pl🤣🤣
Torres is inhuman with his football abilities. Dude has natural talent and skill for years. Such an incredible striker. Despite supporting Man Utd this was one of the most epic matches ever simply because the pace was incredible. Ferguson making major mistakes by throwing Berbatov under the bus and benching him as usual for no good reason. Tevez, Rooney and Ronaldo didn't do shit in the forward line. They were no threat. Park got given a free penalty. Embarrassing to watch this. Awful from Man Utd. I will always be haunted by this but congrats to Liverpool for a spectacular performance. Vidic had a horror match. Torres clowned him over and over again.
One thing I notice a lot watching man utd highlights, is that Rooney makes a hell of a lot of mistakes, gives the ball away a lot, rarely beats a man 1 on 1 - but never gets called out by the commentators, I wonder if there are some players that pundits are told to promote for shirt sales, game sales etc. for me berbatov was the superior player.

One of the two great Liverpool sides of the last 30 years who didn’t win the title. The other was 13/14 Suarez inspired. SG at the helm in both. They didn’t just win matches they played great football.
Average team. Way behind united that year. Liverpool raising their game for united was expected, we was gonna equal their record that year, they still failed 😂😂😂
But didn't click at Chelsea. His initial goal drought and being dropped as Drogba was favoured wrecked his confidence. The contrast with Liverpool suggests that Chelsea players/manager were to blame.
Torres at his peak was absolutely amazing. Was sad to see him leave. Always great to look back at a game where we travelled to Old Trafford and gave the Mancs a flogging
As per me, Torres at his prime was better than suarez and salah in their prime. Torres was a nightmare to best defenders like vidic, Ferdinand, Terry, cannavaro, puyol etc and he was good in air too.

Craziest thing is that torres still to this day is the biggest name we have ever signed Everybody else like suarez etc became world beaters at liverpool...torres was a world beater before we signed him
Torres was absolutely the best striker from 2007 - 2009. He could've also become a certified all-time great afterwards if hadn't decided to have that surgery while injured in 2010 to participate at that World Cup. Basically, he swapped the rest of his career for the World Cup trophy. Too bad.
I don't think anyone could blame him though. Have a big push to finish with the World Cup, or bide his time and hope he got back to his peak while Spain were still strong but not strong enough to replace him. He had money, and Atletico was a good backup.
lovely absolutely lovely to see, now football is all about coaches, no creativity from the players like the old days. seeing the young CR7 melts my heart and makes me feel old as well

Fernando torres those days was one terrifying striker absolutely unstoppable back then with Gerrard

we appreciate him way more then chelsea fans. YWNA
Prime Torres was just frightening. He easily made both Vidic & Ferdinand turned into Jones & Magguire.
i remember watching this live. never seen rio and vida be so outplayed. the highlights don't really show what torres did to them. he tormented them
Потому что на самом деле они такими и были
As a United fan I agree even if Vidic had an off game they all struggled against prime Torres he was just as good as Suarez.
😂😂😂😂😂

One of my all-time favourite matches. Torres and Gerrard were electric that day.
Even tho united won the league that season and made it number 18 to equal liverpools record then?😂😂😂

The archetypal baby faced assassin. Untouchable in his day
whatta player Torres was🔥🔥absolute beast!!
And then he went to Chelski.
