The only charity match which played like a final. Can't stop smiling my childhood heroes are still very enjoy to watch.
I literally got chills from the little touches of class throughout the match, they've still got it!
Must have been so much fun for Kuyt, knowing probably everyone who was on and came on the pitch. He was even more decent then some players we seen this season in the championship!
As a neutral I loved Dirk Kuyt every team needs a guy like him.

Turning up to meet a new signing is a European thing, and probably a scouse thing because those feral scumbags aren't working or at school lets face it, plus the flag was just changed to blue for the liverpool game, it never stayed up, plus flags are not our strong point, unless you like a st George's Cross or Union flag

Such an uplifting match and for a good cause 😊
An over 45's league and cup with a dozen games or so, and of course the gate going to charity would be an interesting concept! The players would feel involved still in a minor way, which matters! They're also inspiring the middle-aged and older to try and get fitter, which tackles diabetes and obesity. It wasn't half a bad game either! Everybody would be winning!

Tbh I could actually see this Liverpool legends' squad giving the current Liverpool squad a good run for it. Kuyt, Cissé and Torres is by far a better offensive trio than the current one is. The talent and experience is there. Only a fact if they can keep up with the younger player's pace and longevity throughout the whole 90 minutes.

I love the charity games. I can always get tickets, and it's always a laugh, and actually, some decent football being played. Torres is jacked now, Gerrard could still play for us (if he had his fitness back) and letting sven mamage the game was a touch of class. He was crying, walking off that pitch, and the crowd gave him an awesome cheer when he went about doing his applause after the game. I even got served my pints in record time at the park pub. About 1 min from walk in to service. Unheard of normally 😂 always worth the cheap ticket price.😊
