Bro! I just heard of this game after the several day battle at Silver Island (I think). Looks good and I thought to myself, if I get the game, I would definitely be on the logistics side 😅
Being in the backline, away from the fight, feels like a different game. It's like a factory simulator back there. It's fun for me, yeah, but maybe boring for others that just want action, the amount of time and effort just to keep the lads in the front win. Salute to the backliners who keeps us sustained.
Unfortunately as more and more updates come, making more and more brand new items, adds further strain on the logistics and makes things much much harder for the logistics workers, many argue that the devs should focus more on making life a bit easier for the logistics workers.
I love this game because its like if an isometric shooter had a baby with an RTS, and the dev team is so dedicated to adding more cool stuff each update

The mail downside of foxhole is how time hungry the game is If you start a game while planning to do anything other than basic infantry you better make sure you have at least 1 or 2 hour free ahead of you
@hestan723 Absolutely. I find also that there is guilt when you're not playing. It can be easy to keep checking your phone to see that your team are losing ground while you aren't playing. Though usually I don't help much, I'm just an artillery magnet!
As someone who has over 2k hours in this game, i can tell you the game is great, but the Player base is not. You will be abused, bullied, threatened and harassed by the larger regiments of the game. Unless you join one of them or simply become part of the frontline chaff, you will be denied aspects of this game by the actions of those large regiments.
@@twiglets2 I only stopped playing very recently, game updates over the last 6 months have changed and improved the game with the exception of what i typed above. Its a shame because the game is best when you have friends to play it with, but what i said above still stands.
It is a very fun game and I have 200ish hours in the game (Proud warden) but I have one critic and that is it can be a bit to much like ww1 simulator where nothing is happining other than artellery but it is still a good game PS english is not my first language so sorry for mispelling

Usually before each war starts leaders/officers of clans/regiments gather up and talk for war preparations, if you play solo you just check map which area you wanna devote your time to and ask them or check what they need on the map.
I'm interested in logistics, but at the same time I dont really find all that resource management interesting, mainly because the huge variety of tasks makes me confused on what exactly I should be doing.... I should just find a person in chat who is willing to teach new players Logi (I do see little ad posts in logi chat multiple times while im chilling in the frontlines building trenches/bunkers, though)
Something that I'm looking for a long time. A multiplayer game that takes days to end one session or in this case war that is also not text or image based game
@@twiglets2 thats kind of the downside of this game it takes a lot of time, but its well worth grinding the resources when you get to drive a bunch of tanks or do a large artillery op with your group
Waiting for a game that has troops with psychological disorders and sometimes disobedience. Then you get your MP’s to maintain discipline. Have a truly in-depth simulation.

@twiglets2 used to be, but now I just spawn in and support everywhere I can, infantry wise I main medic, aside from that I build and stock pile of armored cars to help support pushes and tank lines.

We dealt with a lot of Alts from the enemy side purposefully sabotaging defenses and supplies on charlie...kinda turned me off the game for now maybe next war
A game where Collies blindly follow suicidal orders, get mowed down, and come back for more. But no matter how many times they do it, they are still losing 52:54. 😜🙃 But legit, we all love playing the same game and theres a lot of stuff everyone can relate to on both sides 😅

Just the Able shard now which some people like, some dislike! I personally think Foxhole is always better with the one shard, it's just a shame they can't fit more players on it when there's an influx!
It's just one shard but the usually bring out a second one with bit updates to act as an overflow server. The game isn't single shard by choice it's single shard because most of the players left

After reading the negative reviews on Steam, they mention a lot of the toxic community surrounding this game. They're mentioning unfair bans, abusive mods, and abuse of the in game report system. The good reviews (74% positive) make the game sound really awesome and the gameplay deep. Do you have any input on how the community affects gameplay? Is there a way to enjoy the game without being dragged down by unfun teammates?
The toxicity is actually off platform. If you just limit yourself to the game without getting in touch with the official subreddit and discord you'll be gucci. The in-game community is way more welcoming expecially if you communicate with people and ask questions when in doubt before doing something
Toxicity of the community exists in the hardline of people who've been playing it for years and are loyalists to a certain faction. You don't have to be as involved in it to have a good time. 3k hours in, my advice is play both sides a few times, choose to be loyal to one faction if you wish, but don't take it too seriously. We ride a fine line of prioritizing "winning the war" over having fun because of the time investment that goes into them. Don't let winning overtake having fun. Hope this helps.

Do you need to create your own weapons to use yourself or is there a kind of pool that everyone draws from? And if there is a pool how do you stop lazy players stealing the good stuff that others work to build? @hazed1009 in answer to most of your questions, it's a free for all. With all the madness that comes with it. To be fair there are very organised groups and generous people who pride themselves on churning out weaponry, ammunition, and even vehicles and simply say "help yourself" to all their teammates. However, a darker side to the game is that some of those organised groups can be toxic. Killing fellow team mates for "stealing" their stuff, or building things in the wrong place, or even mass reporting a player so they get banned. All the beauty and horror of humanity, all in one place!

Just started it recently and have been having a blast. Never ran into the ultra toxic people yet and only played as Collies so far. All good times!

Its pretty great. You should join one of the many groups though as it adds to the sense of community and its fun to do planned operations with a squad
