Video review and opinion is copyright of RSG (retro spirits gaiden) 2024, original game is copyright of the respective copyright holders i would imagine.

The only real concern with collections like this (other than whether you like the games) is potential input lag from emulation - did you detect anything or do all the games feel responsive?

some retro compilation have horrendous control lag - the Namco collection's Galaga is pretty much unplayable when docked.

the games felt OK to be honest. X multiply i actually found easier than the Saturn version (maybe region or dip switch related though) it didn't feel laggy to me, but i think i have a very high tolerance for lag (i find it difficult to notice unless its really bad). The arcade version of Image fight i find difficult and this one is no different but i don't think it was lag that got me, more a skill issue:)

Tired of paltry compilations now to be honest. Taito Legends and Capcom Generations showed the way. Either go full on M2 high end on 1 or 2 games or go trolley dash and chuck loads in.

apparently there will be 5 volumes of this at £20 + a pop. If it were a company other than Irem i wouldn't bother, and it took me a while to decide to get this one. All the games they are releasing could easily fit on one cart. I'm definitely a sucker for this stuff.
