I'm not going to lie, the most motivational part of this video for me is seeing that you were beautiful at all stages of your journey, no matter your hair color, no matter your size or sculpt- which let's me know I can cut the cord that ties me to the belief that I must be absolutely fit in order to be attractive. I held a narrow view of how I had to look, and I think I'm breaking through that barrier. Thanks for sharing yourself with the world, bets wishes to you 🙏🌺
Adding more protein to my diet has probably been the toughest thing in my journey so far. I'm really not a big fan of the taste of meat. Plant based sources have been a blessing
Just curious, do you not like the taste of meat or is this driven by the idea of “hurting animals” and this psychology interfering with you liking the taste? If not, taste is sometimes due to a deficiency in B vitamins or a lack of proper potency of stomach acid.
Tweak don’t freak 😊 love it Cori. Thanks for the veg protein addition. I have found isowhey to be my friend post 60 in upping protein and adding kidney beans plus tofu to burritos etc. noticed increased muscle growth
The bunny killed me😂😂😂 My (seasonal) recipe with a lot of protein, fibers, and not so many calories : 1 can pumpkin puree + 4 egg whites + 64g pure cocoa (100%) + 1 sccop vegan OR beef chocolate powder (NOT dairy, it turns like cardboard) + 64g stevia (or non caloric sweetener). Mix in the blend, cook 55' at 180C (about 370F), enjoy your brownie😉
I know what u mean about the clumping/curdling 😝 I’ve learned that when I add my protein into my hot coffee I “tap” it in a little at a time while using those little hand whisk blender thingies. Works perfectly ☕️ And I started using Kefir in my smoothies. I usually add some water too as that milk is pretty thick.
Cory, what is your formula to calculate how much protein a woman needs to build muscle and lose or not gain fat? I keep hearing different recommendations. Great video, btw!
Awesome-protein-tips Also, I've noticed that people who are athletic and in great shape are fluid and in motion even while eating. Cori was eating in this video, but in motion..the whole body is engaged. Interesting and has nothing to do with anything. 😀
I make a shake with banana, dragon fruit and soy protein powder after every workout. Is there a harm in doing that for long period of time? I have a lactose intolerance do can't drink milk as a protein source.
I like your channel 💓 I love the tips and tricks you share🤗 I hope you can share some recipes with us more often 🌻 Your videos are very entertaining and fun to watch👍
I like the idea of using protein powder as coffee creamer - I'm going to try that! I like an egg on my pizza. No fitness goal is worth giving up pizza for - at least not for me!
I love plant-based proteins I can't stand animal-based protein,, meat and eggs are YUCK but I do eat ,, I love beans they're my favorite but aren't they more of a carbohydrate than they are a protein?
There are plant-based proteins that are complete proteins and those that aren't. You can still get the amino acids that certain ones are low in throughout the day from other sources, but say beans and rice would be great complements to get the full range you need. But yes, many plant-based sources do have more carbs in them. Things like seitan, tofu, tempeh are great if you aren't eating meat.
I am wondering if you have any tips for me. I've been struggling for years to get out of the 200-206 pound range. Despite incorporating walking five days a week, I haven't seen any change in my size. Additionally, I've been breaking out from consuming too much protein. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
Starting to do some bodyweight strength work is key. And quality of protein matters. So often we say it is because of the protein, but it's not the protein it is that we now are doing shakes with artificial sweeteners or more dairy that is doing it. So tracking your food and making sure you're getting more protein (as I don't know your actual protein intake and sometimes we can feel like we're getting more but it isn't as much as we think) as well as that your calories are dialed in as a small deficit is needed, is key! Here are some more tips too :-) redefiningstrength.com/why-cant-i-lose-weight-8-common-weight-loss-mistakes-to-avoid?sl=yc
You are right; I was using protein powder, and it caused me to break out. To be honest, I never tracked my macros because I felt it was too much work, but I realize now that this is why I’m stuck at my current weight. I will consider the information you provided and hopefully start seeing a change in my weight. Thank you!
I buy egg whites on their own but you can also USE the yolks. I only give the option without to give clients an extra tool to adjust fat/protein ratio if they need to hit their macros :-)
Hı, Cori! Thanks for the video! I have a question, if i hit my protein goal (that’s around 110 grams a day with my activity), do i need more protein to grow my muscles?
Honestly many of these tips don't relate back to needing to use dairy or nuts. Like the tweaks you can use with current proteins...plant-based sources aren't nut based...protein powders for creamers don't have to be dairy based either. So many of these really work well with a variety of protein sources.
I'm curious why Greek yoghurt over regular plain yoghurt. Last time I was at the store, I compared the 2 and the Greek yoghurt did not have more protein than just plain yoghurt but definitely more calories.
Greek yogurt generally contains around double the amount of protein compared to regular yogurt. It’s possible you were comparing 2 types of Greek yogurt if they had the same amount of protein. Overall calories will be determined primarily by the fat content (full fat vs low fat vs non fat) and how much sugar is added
@@redefiningstrengthOC definitely plain, full-fat yoghurt vs full-fat Greek yoghurt but the plain one was the firm and not liquid type. There's very few low or non-fat yoghurt in Switzerland. And none that are the Greek variety.
Jerky isn’t good bang for buck. Eggs, eggs, eggs…. and variety. Here you can buy containers of egg white. 🦘🇦🇺👍 By the way, roo meat is low in calories and fats, but tops in protein.

Me too!! I’m a vegetarian and I’m not crazy about eggs that aren’t “hidden”!! I learn so much from Cory tho!!
Just curious, do you not like the taste of meat or is this driven by the idea of “hurting animals” and this psychology interfering with you liking the taste? If not, taste is sometimes due to a deficiency in B vitamins or a lack of proper potency of stomach acid.
Why is ‘hurting animals’ in quotation marks? Do you not believe animals feel pain?
Plant-based is inferior to animal protein she forgot to mention that
Awesome arms & shoulders. Cori’s upper body game is lit! 👍💪💥
Thanks!

Adding more protein has really helped change my body composition. Thanks for the tips Cori!
Just when I thought I couldn't love this channel anymore, you go and mention information on plant-based protein!❤
I was surprised to see how much protein canned tuna has. I can eat a whole can, well two and it is rather light to eat rather then heavy and filling.

Great tips Cori!!!! 💗
This was great! You are so right! Thank you!
The best hack ever, add pasteurized egg whites to your smoothie. It increases protein and it makes them so nice and airy.
Hmm those Greek yogurt bars are very intriguing. Would you share how you typically make them?
How do you know all of this? It's unbelievable how much knowledge you have!!!
Great tips. I feel protein empowered now. 💪🏿😄
Cori is my motivation to always be on track of my journey
Thanks!

thank you for your videos i love the content you share. ❤
I’ve been mixing my cauliflower tide with regular rice to help me with cutting back of carbs.
Natural beauty is so refreshing to see. You're amazing.
Really great tips!! Thank you
Thanks for including plant based🎉🎉🎉🎉
Cory, what is your formula to calculate how much protein a woman needs to build muscle and lose or not gain fat? I keep hearing different recommendations. Great video, btw!
All depends on the person and their goals! A good starting point is to track to see what you’re doing currently and make adjustments from there!
Thanks great tips and options!!!
I never thought of adding protein to my morning coffee. Interesting video!
Very helpful

Great video Cori! ❤️
Nutritional yeast is good!
Such a great flavor add!
Thank you Love very much Cori
Thanks, I'm saving and sharing my email
Seitan and tofu have made a huge difference in meeting the protein goals but I now worry about the sodium amounts. They taste so good though LOL
Will putting protein into hot things (coffee, pancake dough) not ruin the protein from the heat?
I want that grill in my house!
I also put protein powder in my coffee instead of creamer
A great and delicious hack!

Eggbeaters is my go-to source for protein

_What can we do with the yolks apart from binning them. Is there any healthy ways to cook with them, if only using egg whites._

Someone needs to come up with a whey supplement that easily mixes in hot coffee!
Sunwarrior plant based protein mixes great with coffee!

If you're trying to gain muscle you'll want to make sure you're in a slight caloric surplus too!
thanks for your answer!)

How does one find out how many grams ( base ) of protein one needs
Just try to hit 1g of protein per pound of body weight. You'll do great . Good luck .
Curious why you don’t mention adding collagen?
Collagen is a great option I occasionally use in place of creamer in my coffee too!
Collagen is not a complete protein
It's hard for me because I can't eat chicken or dairy.
I have lots of clients who don't use either and hit their protein. Seafood, tofu, tempeh, eggs, pork, beef...so many options :-)

Protein salt ❤😂
