@@ladyylorr I don't think he did, sadly. There has never been better marketing for actors than to go on Hot Ones... this is where they can answer genuine questions and be themselves. We can love them for both their acting and their personage
AND on rare occasions we get to see an absolute tool embarrass themselves and still try to act cool and say they aren't "giving up". I hope DJ Khaled still has diarrhea.
Just saw The Banshees of Innisherin the other day and Colin's performance is amazing, as is the entire cast. A truly wonderful and strange film, please don't overlook it.
Whole new respect to Colin Farrell, beyond his acting abilities, he presents himself like a chill person that's super appreciative of his surroundings. And he can take the heat
Colin Farrell in "In Bruges" is literally my favorite thing in cinema. He was sooo fantastic. The whole cast was, honestly, but I just adore him. He's so dope!
I seriously had no idea what Colin Farrell was like in person. He's always been one of my favorite actors, but now it's a whole new level. This show never disappoints and I LOVE that the reputation of Hot Ones is now out there in these circles. This is hands down the best interview show and Sean always nails it with the questions for his guests and for us listening. I love the insightful questions that get asked. Wonderful episode! This has been a great season already... keep them coming.
Best Hot Ones episode to date! Hands down. The fact that Colin mimicked Chili Klaus and he was so perfect while doing it, not only shows he's a great actor but, man, this is a great day for this community. Next: Sean, Colin and Chili Klaus eating Carolina reaper while a mariachi band is serenading them.
This dude and Josh Brolin just devoured their wings whole - humble badasses. How they're able to have such intelligent conversations while suffering like this is beyond me!
this is one of Sean's best episodes, in my opinion. Colin was so open, and forthright. who wouldn't love to have a coffee with both of these guys and just sit and talk about life. bravo, Sean!
Totally agree. Sometimes the guests start off a bit stiff and it throws off the chemistry. But this was instant chemistry. Colin is clearly a really down to earth guy.
I can't imagine how exhausting it is for actors being asked pretty mediocre or all the same questions all the time. Sean is surely a breath of fresh air for them with what he brings to the table.
Except, it does. They make millions and the promotion aspect is a gigantic part of the process. It's contractually their job to do interviews and press junkets. Some don't like it. Too bad. The rest of us don't like our jobs either. The right amount of money will change a person forever.
@@keatonparker4789 Go back and watch, Sean asked him what it was like when Will Farrell appeared in a spring training game, and he just goes "I wasn't there." You can almost sense Sean is thinking to himself that he needs to research questions better from now on.
Nothing in life is perfect. Plus, this isn't journalism. No such thing as journalism in Hollywood. It's a show about hot questions and even hotter wings.
I love how this show has built the reputation over the year. The guests spread the word about quality questions and hospitality of Sean to their friends in the industry.
Colin is a legend, I know he took a little hiatus in the 2010s didn’t do many large motion pictures, but he was so brilliant in banshees I’m just very happy he’s back, I often turn to clip of an interview he did in 2008 with Jonathan Ross where he delves deep on his addiction issues and depression and you really get to see how truly brilliant he is. Hope he sticks around for years to come.
I’m just gonna take a moment to appreciate two things: 1. He fully understands how lucky he is to have the job he has with the “one for me” In joke! and seems to be one of the very few “genuine” people actors out there! 2. He grossly underestimates his American accent in Phone booth! Cheers Colin, you’re a talent sir!🙏 Sean, make sure you take up Colin’s offer for recommendations and get to Ireland this year!
Always liked Colin Farrell. He brings this gregarious energy to his work and appearances. You always forget that he’s been around for a while, I first saw him in minority report which is twenty years old this year! Now he’s playing the penguin in batman and he’s amazing! I also loved him as bullseye in daredevil. He seems so down to earth, the type of dude you could just have a pint with and a chill.
Colin is one of the few I've seen not only able to just eat these wings but just be amazingly awesome at the same time. He seems like someone you could hang with and have a good time.
The Irish have such a wonderful outlook on Life --- bittersweet, appreciative, joyous, deep, poetic, sad, humorous, realistic... and Colin's got it all. Love him.
This is mad, romanticised take on Irish people. Sorry to burst your bubble but generally we’re a miserable bunch who love to complain but are happy to put on a fake show for outsiders.
@The Blue Rose, as it is everywhere, you can find exceptions to any generalised description. Of the assorted friends I have living across Ireland, my description suits them. You and yours may be different. I'm sure every country has its share of fake, miserable people. Sorry that you include yourself with that. I wish you a more optimistic, tolerant life in the future.
When I saw him in Phonebooth and then play Bullseye in Daredevil as a 13 yr old I loved him! Idk what it is about him but you can tell he puts his best into everything he does. Its refreshing to see him as himself here. Also funny to see that he (seems like to me) exaggerated his Irish accent as Bullseye. Here his accent seems decently mild. Unless he's lost it a little through the years. Anyhow, love this man. Very genuine.
I honestly don't see it and seem to be in the minority on this---this topic has been brought up a number of times in so many different forums and always divides the audience. To me, Sean Evans might as well be reading his entire lines off a prompter. This guy speaks like people write in a novel. As researched and knowledgeable as he is, there is something distinctly unrelatable about his conversation.

Colin: "did you see the film?" Sean: "does he know who I am?" not only have I seen that film but I have watched your entire catalogue and curated the most poignant questions
That is some Gary Oldman and Christian Bale levels of dedication tbh. Gotta like actors that go that extra mile. Batman actors love doing whatever it takes I guess xD

at 4:34 when Colin says it's a nice question I just love Sean's slight smile. You can tell he takes a lot of pride in getting that compliment (which he deservedly gets a lot)
I wonder if it's the design of seans questions that brings the "real" out of people. I know there are exceptions but it seems as if after the first question the guest is absolutely at the liberty of the next question. If that makes any sense at all. Weeds legal here. 🤣
what i love about this interview is you can feel both shaun and collin's love for what they do. Shaun gets to ask these really interesting questions that allow for expansive answers and Collin relishes giving them, deconstructing why he loves acting, what the roles mean, how playing in makeup changes his performance and gives him freedom. Great interview!

In Bruges was a tour de force, but the one film that takes me to a truly chilling place is The Banshees of Inishirin. You can’t knock this man’s resume. He’s racked up some great films and when that hasn’t been the case, his performance was still always solid.
Colin could legit be a poet or something. Didn't know much about him beyond his acting but he's so well spoken. Also props to him for just going to town on the wings, so many people jus nibble but he was chowing down even on the really hot ones. Mad respect, and Sean & crew brining the A game as usual

I saw him this year in Venice twice, waiting for him with other fans after a conference and during the premiere of his movie and he was one of the nicest person I've ever met. He talked with every single of us, took pictures, signed everything, he was reaching fans even during the standing ovation at the premiere! He was incredible. A great actor and truly a great man.
Wow, this one was an unexpected surprise. Colin was so into it, giving great answers, not to mention cleaning those wings AND licking his fingers, holy cow!
Colin Farrell has a spark inside him that I think a lot of people are drawn to and love. I sure wish him the best in maintaining balance in his personal life and in over coming his addiction demons.
I've always loved Colin Farrell. Huge respect for him pushing the small independent film at the end recognizing that needs a lot more attention than The Batman.

I’m just gonna take a moment to appreciate two things:
1. He fully understands how lucky he is to have the job he has with the “one for me” In joke! and seems to be one of the very few “genuine” people actors out there!
2. He grossly underestimates his American accent in Phone booth!
Cheers Colin, you’re a talent sir!🙏

I've come to realize, Sean does his job so well that these aren't interviews no more, they're two gentlemen just catching up. 👏
I honestly don't see it and seem to be in the minority on this---this topic has been brought up a number of times in so many different forums and always divides the audience.
