There is no shame in talking about Nirvana, it is part of his legacy. That said, what is there to say that hasn't already been said in a thousand more interviews. The only thing that I am slightly disappointed with is that the whole show didn't last longer. (and Sean didn't get to ask more of his normally excellent questions) Since it is already one of the longer episodes, I should be content with it. Certainly my favorite hot ones episode by far!

Dave has talked about it enough. No need to beat a dead horse
@@jonathanramos8414yeah
There is no shame in talking about Nirvana, it is part of his legacy. That said, what is there to say that hasn't already been said in a thousand more interviews. The only thing that I am slightly disappointed with is that the whole show didn't last longer. (and Sean didn't get to ask more of his normally excellent questions)
Since it is already one of the longer episodes, I should be content with it. Certainly my favorite hot ones episode by far!
This is definitely the most fun ive seen Sean have in an interview
I could never not love this man. From day one. Dave...you make my heart warm. FRESH POTS!!
Came in, got the host plastered drunk, all the while being totally down to earth and a real dude.
Goddamn LEGEND
And Sean still absolutely killed it! Seeing him drunk was hilarious
And, not phased by the hot sauce at all! I don't think anyone has handled them so well.
@@printz-of-peepz I could do it drunk...anybody could.
Drunk Dave telling Sean "You're drunk" is absolutely golden.
Love Dave. What a gem.
by far the coolest chillest guest on this show.
I know Sean would never pick a favorite episode, but you can’t help but recognize just how fun he’s having with Dave
I think what made this episode so cool, is that there are just two people admiring each others work and just having fun. Dave killed it and made it look like mild ones.
He truly did Lorde it.
Also, drunk Sean.
I’ve always been a fan of Dave and everything he has done. Every time I see him being himself and having a good time is wild. I really enjoyed this one.
dave is one of the reasons why i'm a drummer, he's so cool! i learned to play the fill at the beginning of smells like teen spirit and it's so dependable
27:27 Sean drunkenly singing the opening line of "Best of You" was elite
Sean singing "I got a confession to make...." to Dave Grohl in unexpected fashion. probably the most epic moment in the history of Hot Ones!
he got the rasp on point
I wanted to like this comment but it's at 666 and idk I feel compelled to not ruin that
@@coltonholman8842two more and we'll be at 777.
i read this as he did it AHAH
Grohl did a hell of a job getting under Sean's persona, this was a very human interaction. The man exudes charm and authenticity
I wonder how Sean feels after having blown up so much. It must be crazy to think that one of the biggest legends in rock history comes home from practice, takes a tablespoon of your hot sauce, and then watches your internet show. Sean Evans is one of the best interviewers I have ever seen
Best Hot Ones ending ever
Probably the best episode. Dave is one of the most down to earth ppl. Read his book and it’s absolutely amazing. Highly recommend.
havent smiled this much in a long time i really needed that love u forever dave ur the man
This isn't an interview. This is two friends hanging out, chatting, and getting drunk. Most casual Hot Ones interview ever and I love it!!
Dave Grohl is literally the definition of cool af uncle that we all wanted to have
And still his kids probably think he is a dork
guys, I found the gen z commenter!
False. Grohl is the worst.
@@TM-gu6bp Dorky dads are the best though!!
Don't jynx him like that we can't loose him too
Respect to Dave for the Pantera toast.. and all the toasts that followed 😂😂
Dave Grohl.
The living example of "be excellent to each other."
and party on, dudes!
Sixty-nine.
This wasn’t an interview, this was two good friends getting drunk and eating wings, best episode 🤘🏻
The man had intentions from way before the show. He knows the way. Hahaha
Everytime he calls a shot, it just makes me happy
This is my favorite episode so far. Watching Dave become progressively more unhinged, Sean progressively get hammered, and everyone in studio laughing over and over is great. Love it.
“Let’s do another shot” is gonna go down in Hot Ones History hahaha he really is everyone’s RockNRoll dad this was awesome
Cheers to pantera. Love he gave credit where due. Love to see him perform with pantera
I have so many favorite episodes of Hot Ones, BUT this one is my number one absolute favorite!!!! I LOVE Dave he is amazing and down to earth and he doesn't even know it 😅
Wow. Dave might actually take the crown as the coolest cucumber on the show. And Dave saying this was on his bucket list and seeing Sean almost well up. Priceless
so awesome
Wow, he was hardly bothered by the spice. I wonder how he did it. Do you think it had anything to do with his choice to steadily consume a chemical that diminishes one's ability to experience physical pain? Naaah, that couldn't be it.
@@WaitingtoHit what are u on bruh
@@dexter2178 Me? I'm capable of understanding sarcasm and writing coherent sentences, so of the two of us, you're the one who seems like he's on something.
Not only do I feel like Dave is just a genuinely nice guy, but he IS Rock N Roll to the core. Doing shots with Dave and being told that being on Hot Ones is on his bucket list? Sean, I think this may be the best episode yet.
Yeah, even I can't hate on Dave Grohl. They noted him on Venture Brothers FFS. "No one denies Dave Grohl!"
@@nivekian what do you mean you “Can’t
hate on him”
Hands down the best episode
I'm in the Ramsey and Grohl are on another level corner.
Sean's drunken confession at the end was very sweet
His take on overproducing is still some of the coolest knowledge. I didn’t realize how much I like the raw sound of imperfection rather than overproduction
Sean: "Sounds like a hit"
Dave: "It was not a hit"
lol right?!?
yer but its a fkn great song!!
The secret to Dave Grohl's charm is that he is genuinely excited to meet people and do things. He is passionate about whomever and whatever he champions. And he is a working musician who puts in the hours and the sweat because he's in it for the music and the ideas and not the accoutrements.
He's got a ton of energy
Best episode EVER! Dave is THE man. Such a nice, funny guy and Sean is great too! I love how they are getting increasingly plastered and at the end I realised I've been smiling and laughing from start to finish. And I wished I was there to give a hug to both of them!
Hands down one of the best episodes that I've ever seen. Dave is a legend.
This honestly may be the best episode ever. Grohl was an absolute stone cold killer to those wings while being one of the most jovial, kind, and interesting guests I have ever seen. Sean being a little drunk too added a fantastic dynamic as well.
Wasn’t phased by any of the hot sauces
@@richardrothenburg744alcohol helps dissolve the spice oils so the don't just coat and stay
Seconded! That was the best one ever! Well, up untill now anyway.
In just about every way you can measure whether or not the guest was successful... this was one of (if not THE) best episode(s) they've ever recorded.
Sean has interviewed so many people and was always composed. Dave finally broke him. What a guy.
You're absolutely right. This was amazing.
I don't blame Sean. if someone of Dave's Calibre told me my show is something they watch all the time i'd get emotional too.
@@Jindorek And not just ''Hey, I watch your show'' or ''Hey, I like your show'' but actually saying ''You were on my bucket list''. Like wow! Such an honor coming from an Icon.
I love Dave. He's my musical hero, and I love his other music projects as well . His obsession and love of music is astounding. Such a great dude and I hope one day I get to see the Foo Fighters live. I'm jealous. Shawn got to drink with Dave
This was such an amazing Hot Ones episode, I hope one day we can bring Dave Grohl back! He rocks!
WHEN SEAN STARTS SWEARING YOU KNOW HE'S FEELING IT.
He is hilarious 😂 😃 😄
