Most LED tvs have light strips on the bottom. Make a shelf to protect these from burm out. Had issues with TV devoloping streaks, and one Samsung strip burned out resulting in only half of TV displaying image.
I bought a recessed electric fireplace after I saw yours. Going to install it next week, when you slid it into the hole, did you have to secure it to anything in the hole or it just sits in there all snug and cozy? Thanks!

My question is - should the framing go completely across the wall behind the fireplace as well, or is it safe to turn off the wall and come out for the fireplace structure and then back to the wall like done in this video. Either would work, it depends on what kind of fireplace I suppose. Maybe easier to frame out so you can remove the fireplace if need be

No wasted space - we even added a cubby for electronics! It’s as deep as it needed to be per the instructions that came with our insert.
