So which is it, Origins or Odyssey?
GameSpot I gotta say, odyssey is my jam
Origins anyday
Odyssey gets my vote 100%
Odyssey feels more fluent and there is more mechanics introduced, Ubisoft have seen the benefits from Origins and shifted it over to Odyssey. Odyssey is much better in my opinion, the only complaint I have is that the main protagonists voice actors were mediocre. If the voice acting was top notch I feel like this game would be more rememberable.
Odyssey is the better game all around. It just improved from the foundation that Origins laid. While I still love the Egyptian theme, Odyssey just took the formula and added to it.
People saying Bayek is too uptight and needs to relax, would you be relaxed if your son was killed right in front of you and you were going after the people who did it? I wouldn't be lol
And he manages to compose himself almost every time. How's that uptight. Whereas Alexios or Kassandra are determined by the player, so no personality at all.
Who the hell is saying that lol? I had the exact opposite problem with him...I thought he was way to composed .and happy go lucky
@@arturius9715 I saw a bunch of comments just on this video alone lol
@@chad_b dont know how they see that...his personality definitely didn't reflect his tragedy.
Maximus from gladiator would be a good example of how his emotional state should have been
@@arturius9715 yeah I do see what you mean. His emotions were kind of all over the place at times. I still loved his character though. He's probably my favorite assassin's creed protagonist
You two are obviously not parents. I think Bayek was played perfectly as a man who lost his son. Bayek is not too serious at all. and life isn't always fun and games.
specially in old Egypt
this is the most true thing ive read all week
Bu t. It’s a game ?
Maxwellicus It’s important that the main character is relatable
Sometimes gamers expose themselves to how detached they are from normal society.
Bayek gave us back those feels we had with Ezio, both became assassins because they wanted to avenge their families
Bayek doesn't compare with Ezio whatsoever.
Lvan3068 2907 I have a hard time picking between Bayek and Ezio, while I have still yet to complete the last two games in the Ezio trilogy I still think they are both very very well developed characters, although, I think I felt more connected and just more similar to Bayek, the development team made him feel so alike with normal everyday people, still a hard choice between the two though.
I connected more with Bayek. Still love Ezio tho
Lyan3068 2907 you gotta play brotherhood and revelations especially and then ezio will be much better than bayek. Your missing out
But isn't Reveance the reason for all ac main characters to become an assassin. Only the nes who already where assassins or were born into that are doing what they do to prevent bad things from happening
As far as characters, I think Bayek is one that hits close to home with me. Because I’m a father currently, and I’ve lost a child in the past. I could not help but feel like I was actually in his shoes while playing the game.
My deepest condolences :(
I'm really sorry for your loss. It is amazing that games are improving so much that they are gaining the power to speak to us in a way that could previously only be attained by great literature.
I'm very sorry to hear that sir.
Sorry for your loss man ☹️ I can’t relate much because I’ve never been a father but I know what it’s like to lose a family member. I wish you well 👍🏽❤️❤️
Sorry to hear that man.
My condolences xoxox
Origins is one of the most beautiful games ever in my opinion. The landscape, colours and setting at certain points made my jaw drop.
**Spoiler** the scene towards the end where he and Aya break up, he drops the necklace and when she picks it up it leaves the assassins print on the sand was fucking insane. That was such a powerful moment for the entire assassins culture..it was just perfect to watch. That game was fucking beautiful..I never played Odyssey, it never interested me enuff and it looks like a huge game..didn't want to play it without knowing I'd be fully invested...but I'd be surprised to see it better than Origins. That was to me, the best AC game ever.. so, so good.
you're in the minority with that opinion.
I wouldn’t say it some of the most beautiful ever but definitely one of my favourite settings. The view from the sync point above siwa at sunrise is truely gorgeous
it was disgusting to me just because sand damn i really hate sand
ShadowReaper it’s course and rough and irritating, and it gets wverywhere
Bayek has no reason to chill out, he is not a mercenary he is the Mejay of Egypt driven by revenge and anger, i really disagree on that point.
Honestly
ikr his son was killed, how can you chill until you get vengance
The question is not whether the character should chill given his situation.
The question is, should you write a one-dimensional character whose circumstances are so bleak he can only ever be serious 24/7.
*medjay
Medjay
I like he realism of Origins, he’s a Medjay who lost his son and is trying to help all of Egypt, while in Odyssey, your a Mercenary who does whatever suits them
in odyssey i loved the greek landscape and npc dialogue and interaction but i fucking hated the protagonists. like what is the reason for fighting several sides of a war? there was no background other than two siblings separated so like why are they both killers without reason?
Chronus I started back into Odyssey after noticing there was a control switch. Couldn’t do the new control layout. Wanted X and Y to be my main forms of attack. Anyway after getting back into it, it gives me the feeling of Witcher in a way, and I’ve been fighting for Sparta ever since😂.Also you get a like from me. I understand your position, but me personally, I couldn’t do anymore Templar killing. It gets old after awhile. Then again, some characters do come across as dry. But the shear amount of content over shadows it for me.
One difference in the games is that Odyssey is more about the player, the player gets to make their story
In Origins you are following a story and the decisions are made by him
@@_DMNO_ yeah Odyssey story was whatever, but overall its a fun game. i got bored of Origins pretty quickly idk why.
@@dirtydan9153 me too, cause bayek is so rough and cunning. I like odyssey cause the protagonist is white
She said: “I feel like in Origins you have to grind for level up because you was too underlevel”. Seriously its in Odyssey you have to grind for level up
In Origin, they give you a skill for XP takedown, headshot, kill streak.
The cap level much better because easy for doing the mission when you above the level of the quest.
Unlike Odyssey, when you try levelling above the main & side story.
It just put the same level as you are, I feel like unmotivate to play the game at all.
I also feel unmotivated to play all while playing odyssey also, theres just nothing that makes you feel amazing and its way to rpg based
@@ryusof6 not sure where yall get this 'I'm too low level" from. Everytime I went to a new city, just went to a signpost and collected 3 bounties. 5minutes later I've already almost outlevelled the area. Not once have I found myself too low level to continue the main story.
@#BAGLIFE MIKE Now THAT'S actually the first argument for Odyssey I've seen that sounds logical, I can understand and appreciate that 👍
To me though, I'd trade "easy"* for intriguing main charater/story, immersion, atmospheric setting and (yet*) grounded/entertaining combat ANYDAY.
I guess it depends on what you're looking for in a game.
Ikr, is she even playing the same game?
Origins obviously. God I just love the Egyptian setting. It’s amazing. Plus a better protagonist
Oddyssey have better gameplay and open world and freedom and story

Origins had the most beautiful open world I've ever seen in a game.
Odyssey is way more beautiful
Have you played odyssey
A beautiful, giant, empty open world.
I feel the same way about Odyssey, i would often just stop for minutes and look at the world and get goosebumps. Playing at 4k at high-ultra setting and 60fps(most of the time) on pc made it absolutely glorious.
AlexV what are your specs? Damn man, 4K 60 at high-ultra settings is damn hard to achieve with Odyssey.
Origins just has a much more "mysterious" vibe too it. The music, the setting,...plus, i like the weapons system better in origins. Looting is also much more fluid in origins.
I agree
Agree. Egypt worked perfectly. I remember when I first started playing I was like "man, gotta check out the pyramids, the sphinx, Alexandria lighthouse" etc.
@@tommisabre666 Not only did it have better environments, it has better characters. We need a bayek trilogy, not odyssey
Depends it’s all opinion I like Greek mythology more than Egyptian mythos also the way odyssey opens up is legendary I got goosebumps .. I love origins too but the combat is sloppy
Spot on ! The music ambiance and the Ptolemaic Egyptian setting .. Cleopatra And Julius Ceasar! I’ve made it to platinum on both games - I’d give Origins the edge ! 10/10 ! Odyssey id give 8.5/10!
Origins is much better. Egypt feels much alive and full of mysteries
Origins, Egypt is so cool.
Egypt was the best possible location for an assassins creed game it was so beautiful
Yes, im tired with europe landscape. Look how similar italy in every AC2/Brotherhood with AC5 Paris and AC6 London. Egypt feel so fresh. We need to move further, japanese, chinese, mongolian, middle east, oceania, south-east asian culture can be a new fresh settings for AC games...
Angel Dicochea 😊👍🏻 I love Ac Origins. The best!
Odyssey is so much better that it almost dulls origins in comparison... There's not a single facet where Odyssey lags behind its counterpart... Most of the people who prefer origins haven't even played Odyssey...
@@VAIBHAV-fl6dl I've played odyssey and the games main story is just a grindy mess, and the dlc is so bad its not even funny...
There need to be more ancient Egyptian games, the best part of origins was the setting, it was so grand and mysterious, plus Bayek was a great character
Name Unreleased totally agree, anywhere similar to Egypt or anyplace that isn’t the same thing we have been getting before origins.
its not ancient egypt
Especially with the Curse of the Pharoahs expansion
@@milan-px5uq ??? It takes place in 50 B.C ,that ancient Egypt.
Sonictyty 227 no its not ancient egypt is thousands of years before this, this is greek egypt
You cant hope for another Ezio. All you'll remember is "I loved that character. He's just like Ezio." No. Every character is great because of their own personality. And you have to take to account that Beyek lost his child months before where the game starts. Ezio lost his family and only started to become witty years and years after the Event. To me at least to say that Beyek needs to chill out after seeing his own child get killed in front of him just isn't fair.
After having played both games and thoroughly enjoying both, I found myself coming back to Origins after having taken a long break from both games. Origins as a game is just more grounded and the story is also more solid, like they said in the video, in Odyssey Kassandra/Alexios is a mercenary and fights for whomever they want. But that can end up contradicting the story, she is Spartan and fights alongside Sparta AND Athens? If she just full-on sided with Athens due to Sparta trying to kill her, that would make sense. If she sided with Sparta because she is Spartan, that would make sense. But she fights for both... it just kinda scraps any morals or drive she would have. Bayek fights for freedom and for the people of Egypt. While Kassandra/Alexios fights for themself and is a literal demi-god. It just takes the immersion out when you are in the story trying to find and kill the cultists for tearing your family apart, and then you can go out into the street and murder innocent people.
The combat in Origins is also more redeeming, you have to have good timing and have to know how to fight within the game's fighting system. While in Odyssey you can just shoot and kill a whole fortress of enemies over the course of like 10 minutes using just the god arrow. It just seems more rewarding in Origins, as well as the fact that some stealth is actually kept in the game. In Odyssey, there is no risk when you're trying to clear a fortress, you can be stealthy and if you're caught, oh well lemme just use my god abilities.
I think Origins is better with the combat system, the story, the more minimalistic elements of RPGs. They both have amazing settings so I don't want to compare them because it's impossible to choose one over the other. I love the grandeur and real feal of Egypt while also loving the beauty and multiple large cities across dozens of islands. I really hope they take the best of both of these games and make something amazing with Assassin's Creed Valhalla.
Thank you for this. I have AC origins but bearly just started it. Odyssey gold edition is on sale right now for 25 bucks but with all the games that are coming out and the games i have yet to complete i think I'll save some money and take on Odyssey when the time is right and that time is so far into the future.

robertojae Odyssey is gooooood. I’ve reached level 50 in 101 hours of game play. The skillset is amazing. You’re a Demi god so you can’t die when jumping from high altitudes.
You’re super powerful and can kill a powerful Boss in a hand to hand combat (Warrior mode) once you reach high level.

I liked Odyssey a whole lot more than Origins. I played Origins moderately. Odyssey on the other hand I found myself playing until 4AM on a weekday lol. Sure Kassandra/Alexios' story may not be as intense as Bayek's, but the fact that the protagonists builds its story based on your choice of action and dialogue made it a much more complete game. The Witcher 3
Wither 3 one of the best games ever made
@@UnrealRPGMastery you're kidding right?
Some interesting opinions here. Honestly, I was expecting to seriously fall in love with Witcher 3, but it just hasn't happened. In fact, I really don't understand why it's so popular. Yeah, the story seems cool (though there seems to be endless filler-ish errands I have to run before finding Ciri, starting to wonder when the hell I'll actually find her), but it's just not fun to me. The open world seems very empty and boring, and the fighting is totally dull. I was really disappointed in Breath of the Wild as well. As a massive Zelda fan, I was beyond excited for it. Unfortunately, I felt like I spent the whole game just riding across the landscape on my horse, and all of the shrines and dungeons had the exact same art styles. I was really missing the much longer and more creative dungeons from previous Zeldas. I'm a huge Dark Souls fan, Elder Scrolls/Fallout fan, and Red Dead/GTA fan. Haven't played an Assassin's Creed since the original over 10 years ago, but I'm extremely tempted by both Origins and Odyssey and am quite interested in buying both. I wonder how much I'd like them...
Disagree. It has a better story and characters but the exploration and gameplay is miles better. I mean you get your own ship and get to explore greece.

Origins changed the franchise while maintaining it’s core. The stealth, the linear story, the hidden blade and so on. Odyssey looks like it doesn’t know what it wants to be and just had an AC name slapped on it.

I'm playing Origins now, I played Odyssey first. Your nostalgia aside, the fanboyism aside. No use, same people made both. Odyssey has improved on many many things Origins had. There's no arguing, I feel it very well BECAUSE I played both. But I like both, and played a few earlier ACs thanks to Odyssey, and Valhalla which stinks compared to either of these 2 in this thread.
I definitely loved Origins, it felt like the beginning of the assassin's and it was gorgeous and such a cool era, but I liked Odyssey for the combat. To me it felt more refined. I prefer the hidden blade over the spear but the abilities were better to me in Odyssey. Both are great time pieces and such cool lore and interesting locations, but Odyssey didn't feel like an assassin's creed game. Still I played both equally lol
I just played Origins again, and oh boy...what a game!
Origins honestly is way better. I like odyssey but man AC Origins drew me into so many different things. 300 plus hours on origins
300 hours is gross for a AC game.
Odyssey is way too goofy for me. I wish we had a game where you just play as a spartan rather than a mercenary. A cold hearted badass not a wisecracker. Save that for the urban games not the ancient ones.
Just play god of war. You’ll get everything you want.
We want Bayek of Sparta
That sounds positively abysmal. As someone said, go play God of War if you want to live the bleak hypermasculine warrior power fantasy. It’s so tired. You’ll *love* it.
I like Origins more, because I like Egypt and in my opinion the main character is much better. It also feels much more like an Assassin's Creed game than Odyssey
Love them both but origins cuz I find the Egyptian world fascinating
Hybrid 9 it’s definitely nice to look at but they should’ve gotten more in depth it felt like a big empty open world I returned it after like 3 hours of playing it and picked up the Witcher 3 instead that game is amazing
@@Boidan69 I played all 3. Witcher was OK. Not as good but OK.
origin's cutscenes animation was more fluid and realistic especially the face animation compared to odyssey
They used more motion capture in Origins while in Odyssey they used animations by clicking to say it this way. That means they made some poses and animations and if the animator clicks them the characters will make them. You often see the same poses in dialogue. Sometimes when Kassandra/Alexios smile in weird situations. Origins was way better in this.
@@Foxy4Love I wish for one last epic dlc for origin.....oow how I like egypt he he
@@Foxy4Love They did this because in Origins, the story is linear and straight. There are no alternate outcomes. It is also more shorter. Also, In Origins, the regular conversations scenes are not mo-capped. They are also computer animated. Only difference is that Origins uses the gameplay camera angle but Odyssey uses cinematic camera angle. Hence the lip-syncing errors in Odyssey is more notable than origins. Odyssey also had dialogue options, alternate outcomes, dual protagonists hence more cutscenes. So if they used mo-cap for all these cutscenes, the budget will be sky-high and Ubi won't spend so much money on a single game. There are some cutscenes in Odyssey which are motion captured. So, the cutscenes in Origins and Odyssey are literally the same
We need another title in America. Meso America would be great. I'd love to play as an aztec warrior and watch Cortez and his templars arrive at the coast searching for pieces of eden, or using one to take over the way that he did.
To be fair there would be a great deal of desert in ancient Egypt between towns and cities. If there was less desert space in origins they would complain about that as well
Origins is way better. Finding the people that killed his son is absolutely trilling in the story also playing with him. Going for origins
it's not like we've seen this about 100000 times in AC games...Bayek just like lots of other AC characters are just driven by vengeance..I mean it was fine the first couple of times, but idk I liked Bayek but Kassandra was just a better character to me she showed personality she grew up without her real parents but she isn't some super angry child only driven by vengeance...
Bayek created the brotherhood without him...it wouldn't be as many assassins in mondern day. Also all the assassin aren't driven by vengeance. Assassin creed black flag was on a boat like almost all the time. He wanted to conquered other ships and take money like it really didn't make sense of being an assassin. Now Bakey had a source. He was already a Medjai and when his son died he killed anybody that got in his way. And the journey was amazing in Eygpt. Tunnels, caves, PYRAMIDS. Riding on camels and going to the desert its a wonderful experience. Assassin creed origins is the best assassin creed game
@@jayjones127 I highly disagree..AC 2 is THE best Assassin's Creed game ever! always was and will be. The story, the characters, the setting...and even the modern day stuff...just AMAZING, I'm not saying Origins was bad...it was a great game probably top 3 AC games of all time but AC 2 is just on another level.
@@jayjones127 Anyway I liked Bayek my problem was his path was kind of something we've seen before: "loses important family member and is now angry and wants revenge"... we've seen that multiple times now... Ezio, Connor, Arno...and then again with Bayek. It's not bad it's just something we already have seen you know...it's not something new. And most things you said about Origins is also true about Odyssey...ancient Greece is absolutely gorgeous it's a beautifully detailed and stacked world with so much to do, besides giant landscapes there's the sea (which you didn't get in Origins apart from some missions). and it perfectly incorporates greek mythology into it which is brilliant, the combat and skills were all improved. I really like Odyssey so much because it was different, it's new.
Except bayek was the one who killed his son lol
Having played and completed both, I prefer Origins. I actually ended up finishing Odyssey first, after having played most of Origins. For the longest time I couldn't put my finger on why Odyssey felt less immersive to me. Don't get me wrong, it's an incredible game, too. I love that Ubisoft pushed the RPG elements further with it and the combat is more engaging, and sailing the seas is a welcome return. But then I went back to Origins, and felt sucked into the world of ancient Egypt and came to realize Odyssey has size, but Origins has grandeur. Both maps are big, but I confess the team who made Origins have more world building talent. Everything from the way the camera pans with the movement of the character in Origins while it stays rather stagnant in Odyssey, to how epic all the architecture felt in the former more than the latter. I never felt like I was a speck in a massive world while playing Odyssey, but I do when in Origins, and that's actually a good feeling to have.
Side Note: Odyssey's world is also more bloated, the map filled with a thousand and one things that felt more like a grind than an adventure. Still a great game, though.
Spot on assessment!
Can‘t agree more!
I have not played neither of 2, I can already know Origins gonna be better, maybe because of Egypt. Egypt just got more assets and it more suitable to present in an AC game then Odyssey. Odyssey gonna feel farther then AC game. It just didnt click. can't relate assassin word to Odyssey. Plus the Egypt setting gonna feels emmersive af. Planning to buy Origins soon.
Youre totally right i think origins was still a assassins creed odyessy is a great game but an awful assassins creed
Ps: only real ac fans know this
One of my colleagues was complaining about how overstuffed Odyssey is. I purchased Origins yesterday. Judging from all the comments, I think I made the right choice :)
bayek's story is more gripping..and me personally i would pick good story over graphics and features anyday!
I would pick good gameplay and story over good graphics
Odyssey gameplay felt way too repetitive
5:48 Personally I loved the mercenary system. I felt like it was me discovering a diverse bunch of warriors that eventually i would have to honorably or dishonorably kill for bounties or safety.
Origins had a better vibe. Kinda like Prince of Persia
Mighty_Mustachios yes finally! Someone said it!
No the story in the Prince of Persia games is far more interesting
In one of the desert hallucinations it plays audio of the soldiers from the beginning of prince of Persia
Well AC series was born from a concept of a PoP game ;)
@@connordutton674 He said "Vibe" not "Story"..
I think Origins in unmatched in terms of setting in any AC game.
You mean endless deserts?
@Mystery Ninja Solver Odissey's world feels empty
@Mystery Ninja Solver They have substantial content and atmosphere in them unlike Greece which God of War did it better.
I thought Greece was a better setting yet Origins Eygypt looked better to me then Oydessys Greece.
One thing I really hate about odyssey is the absurd amount of health that enemies even at you’re own level have, you need to critically assassinate most enemies and standard headshots almost never kill
Late; I completely agree with you, I finally just got time to play and finish Odyssey, and I'm playing it, it feels like I can have the best weapons I have equipped, and it still feels like I'm trying to make a marble statue with just a butter knife, and even using the abilities, it's not always an insta kill
@@matthplays-2312 Hard to explain, you said it a year ago, you might know it already. By doing certain things a lot, you train at it as in Skyrim lets say. You then get to improve weapons and so on with that specific thing, like my archery and head shots. It's a perfect RPG there, it lets you play what you like. You like backstab, in time you get to add 25% to your gear. The more you try it, the better you get. But it lets you choose what you get good at. It's leaps and bounds ahead of Origins or the pathetic Valhalla where they were too lazy to leave it in.
*Your*
Bayek har way more depth than any Odyssey charachter. There is so much psychological going on for Bayek that you can see throughout origins and that amazes me. Odyssey has the worst side quests known to mankind, its a tiring system with no place in the game and its forced upon you
Bayek is basically kratos lol
I hate finding different items from side quests in Odyssey, it's not as notorious in origins tho
Although I have put 150 hours in Odyssey (got the Platinum Trophy), I liked Origins more.
If i have to choose one of them, origins or oddyssey?
@@kavz22 Origins
Kavin g definitely origins. I’m really loving odyssey, I think it’s incredible, but origins is a completely different beast all together
@@stateofmind578 why exactly?
Absolute same here. Got the Platinum trophy too, but Origins is lot more better for me. :-))
First time seeing those pyramids in a distance I won’t forget. Loved everything about origins and the history of Egypt in this game.
I love both settings so it's really hard but my childhood fascination with Ancient Egypt might just push it over towards Origins but honestly BOTH are amazing games.
I think odyssey added way too many RPG elements, origins was sitting at a perfect balance of light RPG elements and maintaining the assassins creed feel. I would’ve preferred it odyssey did indeed improve upon origins, but not by the pace they did.
Completely agree! The balance in Origins was perfect!
To make it short, Origins was a slightly different but improved AC game, Odyssey is an RPG with AC elements. Both are amazing games. Which is better? That's for you to decide.
Opinions my dude.
Nice opinion. I support it.
they both good but when Odyssey dropped the add-ons it took the throne the Medusa fight was crazy💥
Jeff, what you said. I feel the same way. In addition, AC Origins was more story-driven, while AC Odyssey was more side-quest-driven.
I also felt that the AC team had to experiment two different ways of overall gameplay, thus we got AC Origins and Odyssey.
I think both games were successful. And I look forward to the next AC game which will carry forward the best of AC Origins and Odyssey.
Well said, thanks for the advice.
I put around 100 hours into Origins before the DLC and. Now with Odyssey i've played it for 85 hours so far and i have about 90% of the main story left and half of the map to explore.
The sense of exploration and discovery in Odyssey, coupled with the ability choose your characters gender and their comments makes it much more immersive and personal.
I wouldn't mind it if in the future AC went into an even more deeper RPG-experience with character creator and skill system.
markotark how on earth do you find the time for that? Lol that’s more work than a full time job
Agreed
How the fuck!!!!......Odyssey released on the 5th and now its the 14th and you got 85 hours in already in 9 days........U go to school, u eat, u sleep?
I have 45 hours. I plugged 24 hr in 2.5 days after standard release.
He probably had the gold or ultimate to get extra 3 days. I also might of took time off work/school. I would take week of work for elderscrolls and fallout games.
Completely agree with him saying odyssey is bloated it’s really overwhelming and too much at time.
Personally I think origins is better than odyssey.
Who agrees?
Me too.
Yeah I agree I find origins more fun and interesting I think Bayek is way more interesting then Alexios and Kassandra
ME TOO 👌😆
Origins was a perfect blend of assassins creed original DNA and new direction Ubisoft wanted, Odyssey feels like a MMO game with sharing ideas from shadow of Mordor with poor combat. I enjoy both but Origin was just so special due to Bayek and randomly going into caves and tombs and I love those side quests.
Odyssey is so weird cuz it’s basically a single player mmo and Idk how to feel about it
@@julan5384Lol odyssey is not like a sp MMO at all kingdoms of amular yes but Odyssey is pretty standard for open world games and activities. You all exaggerate to much.
Origins is slightly better than Odyssey
Origins does it for me. I love the mysteriousness of the ancient Egyptian setting, exploring old tombs etc.. Oddysee is good mind you, but Origins setting wins out. Plus the two main characters are far more interesting. Origins is the better game.
I agree with the gentleman... Origins was way better. Odyssey was just way too much for me. I never finished, but I played all the way through Origins. I also like that I had a shield I could block with in Origins. The fighting seemed to make more sense. I could care less for all the Naval combat.
Slade Wilson facts bro and better add-ons
Should i start origins all over again even i didnt finished odyssey?
Niv Sharabi get the odyssey’s dlc the fate of Atlantis it’s good af , I’ve been playing a lot and it im lvl 89 , 10 away from max
@@frankholland9920 👌
@@nivsharabi1322 Personally, I like both but :
Story :Origins is better
Gameplay :Odyssey is better
Main Difference between Odyssey and origins is BAYEK...just BAYEK
Narrow minded?
if this game had Bayek i will pre-ordered BUT that not gonna happen we got Ms/Mr Dialog options instead
Just Monika
Bayek is god
Yeah, I hated him.
I played Odyssey first and then Origins. I have to say that I liked Odyssey better. It is way more complex and not as straightforward as Origins and its open world feels more "alive" and inviting to discover. The devs obviously wanted to add more activities into the gameplay and I think they did a great job. You want to find out where your family is? Go for it! Wanna hunt down the members Cult of cosmos and receive some legendary loot as a bonus? Do it! Wanna take your time and sail across the seas while participating in naval battles? Great! Wanna do boss fights with challenging opponents? Hunt down mercenaries or increase your "wanted level" and face them. All that plus some great stories from Greek mythology and memorable characters along your journey. Yes, Origins may be too goofy at times, but still amazing.
Odyssey def has the complex storyline that I love. It’s not perfect but the map was certainly impressive and the game itself keeps you engaged. Lots to do!!
She feels like someone who actually liked the Unity romance
When I first entered Alexandria and Memphis my jaw dropped. When I came to Athens, meh. It just looks more or less like others smaller cities mixed together.
true previous Ac game had better cities, ancient Egypt looks much better than Greece, piramids, gods, Alexandria looks much better than Anthens but i still like greece mythology need to give a try for this game
When I played in Egypt, I was actually bored, now I cannot stop playing Odyssey. Sad thing is that ur not assassin in that game.
@Bobby Papoutsis That's so true!
Oh nice... When I went to Alexandria and Memphis, my FPS dropped!
12:27 there a stalker in the background
Love origins and they've got the characters and story spot on. To me it's a grown up game with depth not some suicide squad type killing spree game
Did we play the same game in origins, nek?
Bayek is really caring and funny towards children and also jokes around a lot with random NPCs. He's only very serious when battling bad guys and the order (which makes sense). I think he had the best balance of cheerfulness and seriousness, absolutely my second favorite AC character after Ezio, and even then they're not that far apart.
Every kill confirm on an Order of Ancient you could feel Bayek's emotion.
Origins is better , Egypt is beautiful with gorgeous pyramids, and the main charecter is very interesting👍
@the fighting liberal You are so sad for thinking that greek is better then Egypt.
And Greece is more beautiful. Infact the best part of Origins were the greek cities. Egyptian structures are band tan colored, gets old real fast.
Ezio Auditore the world was more beautiful but I just think that the atmosphere for origins was better
So you like sand, we get it.
I actually found Egypt to be rather drab and a little lifeless. However I love Greece, the architecture, the colors, and the feel of going on an adventure.
Origins because bayek is actually a character.
Why do people like Bayek so much? The only memorable moment I remember was him killing that one guy with the knife in the mask
@@ravagethelegend6217 because bayek was a well developed interesting character.

Origins has the better map, so much variety. Odyssey feels like all the lands are copy-pasted everywhere.
I enjoyed Origins so much, the quest the exploring, the side missions, the emptiness in between. Odyssey? Yea I skipped have the missions and contracts.
I gotta say this, side quests in both got to me. I was dumb enough to do all in Valhalla, most stank. Same in these 2. They are there to get you from 10-20 and so on.
As I play Odyssey, all I can think is how much I'd rather be playing origins.
Wtf?....the only loser here is you. Why the fuck would you assume that I'm not playing the game? You know nothing you fuckin tool.

I enjoyed origins a lot more honestly and felt more invested as the story had me travelling across the world at a nice pace.
I always felt a sense of wonder and excitement when my next target took me to a brand new city with what felt like a completely different culture to the last.
Totally agreed dude.
@the fighting liberal Not even the targets in Orgins are so much better compared to that shit game's targets.
How does the culture differ? All these cities/towns were under one rule - the Ptolemy rule. So they all had Greek culture with remnants of its pure Egyptian past.

Origins Story was told awfully. Terrible pacing and boring characters.
Bayek was an amazing character he had anger issues no other character in the series had an issue like that he also wasn't serious all the time he was playful and nice to children and would stop to get a drink with his friend in a side quest and joke he wasn't this overly serious or angry character all the time.
for someone who’s kid was killed bayek has had a lot of moments where he smiled and laughed a bit in the side quests but i remember one where he’s jumping off stuff for kids and before he leaves them one of the kids says “i hope you get to hunt with your son again” bayek:so do i (he says the name but i don’t remember the name of the kid😂)
A lot of sweet moments in AC origins Bayek is actually a really nice person and seldom mean to anyone
I'd love to see an Assasin's Creed graphics style to it with a larger map for longer puzzles and perhaps things to solve and a few baddies to kill on the way for those who REALLY have to have that itch of violence.
Unless you already know, they put out Immortals Fenyx Rising not long ago. It plays like AC, but it's also a whole lot like Zelda too. There are tons of harder Zelda style puzzles. I only found out about it from a Ubisoft email. I think you should try their demo. I loved that game. Finished it not long ago.
Bayek is too serious? Did we play the same game?
I like the seriousness
Jordan Browne right. Plus someone killed his son right in front of him so why would he be all smiley while hunting for the people who murdered his son
@@trunks9233 lmao that would be wrong but he can take a joke sometimes which is good you know
Origins brought me back to the series. Origins i played over 130 hours excluding the last DLC. Origins has a more unique setting. Origins.
Have you even played Odyssey? Lmao
@@martyvenkman860 I'm sure he has lMaOoO
I’ve played 411 hours of origins and completed every trophy and every quest and ? In the whole game including dlcs. I just love origins so much. I’ve got almost if the merchandise you can get for it as well
The qiestion now is: have you played Odyssey too? If not your comment is worthless.
Really 130 hours??? Main campaign onyl for 5 hours and dlc not included if you buy dlc together with campaign that would be 12 hours!!!! 130 hours for the ps4 trophy just be clear ok not the game
i just finished odyssey and last year i finished origins.
What i like about odyssey: legendary set items, every zone says wich level you need to go there and is much easier to play (wich is nice sometimes) the story was ok-ish. tons of quests, objectives to do, i liked the naval battle style)
57 hours of gameplay -> main story done, killing all the cult done, collecting those 4 artifacts and give them back to Pythagora - done, went to Makedonia and met Darius and his son and did that quest line too. +++++ a lot of other side quests with Xenia, the false Eagle Bearer, Barnabas, Herodotus and other characters.
What i didnt liked about odyseey: combat, same moves...over and over again. I couldnt use 2h weapons cuz it takes too much time to attack and enemies would hit you in the meantime and intrerupt your attack. The fact that when i had to go to Lakonia (sparta) i was lvl 28 and i needed level 32 for that. So i did 4 levels from random quests with no importance, too much grinding. 4 levels = 4 hours -> more or less of gameplay. I didnt liked the fact that if i accepted a quest here i had to go to some unexplored area wich was 5000m away and after that..i had to go to another unexplored area of 1200m aways and then go back to first zone. A lot of wasted time just running around...doing nothing. And i didnt felt like an assassin (wich i was not, cuz i was a mercenary), more like a thief. Killing some dudes with assasinated, got spotted, going 1v15, killing 5, running away on top of a temple, wait to get full hp -> repeat.
What i liked about origins: arhitecture -> purely amazing. less loading screen. combat -> it was purely amazing, and the fact that i could kill anyone with assassinate move, except for the bosses. the talent tree was much more efficient. the curency was different and the fact that i had to kill birds to gather feathers was fun. it felt more like "what do i do next" than "ohh...i have to kill again this whole fort and get 4 mercenaries after me" . I dont mind the grind usually but if its repetitive its a no thank you from me.
In origins i still remember that one zone was for level 25 and i was lvl 28 and i could easily kill anyone there. So i was always ahead of the zone by simply doing stuff like exploring, killing 250 birds for feathers, colecting things, goint inside some piramides, killing crocodiles.
And i liked the fact that in the end you actually formed some kind of assasins base, i still remember that place inside that house where you had to go in somewhere from top.
What i didnt liked about origins: if i remember corectly you could pass from a zone to another with no problems, so i was like level 15 and i passed to a zone for level 28.....if i remeber i just walked up to a mountain -> went to a mountain pass -> and i found myself in the next zone and i got killed by a lvl 28 wolf.
I completed origins and loved it. I bought odyssey about 3 months after but have really struggled to complete it, 95 hours in and still have half of the map to explore. It's just too similar to origins gameplay wise and far too big, quite overwhelming at times. I love the setting though.
12:25 so y’all just gonna let that slide?

If I ever see that guy I'm gonna punch him dead in the face😐
I wonder what he stole Haha I am gonna find him
Wouldn’t be an assassin’s creed game without that happening lol
Booty call
For me it’s origins way better story
Origins had one of the weakest writings in the whole series and felt extremely rushed in the end. Odyssey paces itself and it’s characters are so much more interesting and fleshed out.
@Noble Soul Still better than the Fifty Shades of Misthios Fanfiction mess of story that was Odyssey.
@@user-bg1ls5cd1h That's a lie. I never found Alexios or Kassandra interesting or call themselves a character. They are not characters AT ALL, they are nothing but empty shells. Every side character is irrelevant and the story is a FANFICTION MESS LIKE FIFTY SHADES OF GREY.
I liked both both but ac odysessy had to much gay stuff and origins I love the stealth and stayed to how assassin creed and odysessy was just 300 and every other greek movie all over again, origin story was original and story longer and more complex
Lone AsFk AC Origins the best!
I really like origins, All this Egypt style for me is amazing and mysterious. Love the sight seeing, desert, great game !
Odyssey's is pretty much the same mechanic game as origin, but I think bayek is much more Assassin than Alexios..they made him more of a fighter than an assassin.
5:30 I do miss the guy with the drums on the ship I wish they could have put him on odyssey he was the only person who was playing his part
