Hi nice to meet you! First visit to your channel! Love your home. TIP: look into ceramic window film for the bedroom windows. Husband restored a White 2-110 tractor. The cab glass is like the pope mobile. He took it in to be tinted, and the shop offered the same price his left over stock from a house project. The reduction in heat has been remarkable. Clear film. You can't tell it is applied. PS. Your laundry room exit door...BRILLIANT. Write His name on your heart and scripture everywhere. Don the full armor, and stand. Stand Therefore. XO

I bet the dog and kids love the open space to rip around inside with all that room. I love the big open space too and the simple floors (easy to clean). I’m sad her kitchen counters are cluttered with lots of items in a kitchen that size and her pantry is small. In my kitchen, I would not lack for storage and would make a large butlers pantry with a secondary kitchen including dishwasher, stove, sink and freezer for home canning and food storage. Also to get that clutter off my counter.

You have a really nice house, but having white walls, white cabinets and rug is what I would change. I would paint a couple accent walls, nothing crazy. Or use some slat boards or wood or brick to add some texture. Also large rugs will add a lot and help with the echo

Someone asked prior, but no reply - did you add the heat kit??? You mentioned snowy climate - just curious! I'm certain I wouldn't be able to add to my floors and keep cost low! This is the thing that my wife does not like about Barna minium is the echo bouncing around in that house she hates that. And I have to admit I don’t like it either. So it makes it hard for me to sell her on on these type of homes. This is the reason I wouldn’t have that cathedral type ceiling. I would make it 10 foot ceilings to stop that from happening.

I love what you guys have done with the barndo. I have a big family and want to do something similar. Did you do this all by yourself or hire out contractors? I had a 40x60 steel building (3:12 pitch) built about 8 years ago and did the foundation myself, but had a crew put it up. Not sure if you had spray foam insulation done between the inside panels, etc to finish this out. At $70 per square foot you're talking less than 300k for this build? That's impressive. I already have property, an existing home and solar/power, etc, six bedroom septic, etc. So I would only have the cost of constructing the structure and permits on my existing 50 acres. The barndo would be an ADU with a maximum square footage of 6000 sq feet in my area.

Love you place though just started researching because I think I want to get out of a neighborhood and in the country on acreage. I'm also looking at containers as a home. 😊😊😊 Love the piano and gallery wall. The stark white wall color I would change to add warmth. I love the baby's room and the barn door for the bedroom. So...basically, youve spent a minimum of $225,000 doing it yourself with an existing structure. Im assuming that includes your furnishings? I dont mean to be rude at all, but does this include any land or the cost of the original barn? That makes a HUGE difference. What does the $75 sq ft include? Thanks!
