It's the type of cars that speaks volumes. If it were 20 supercars and exotics then it would be pretty boring and lack luster. No fun in tuning/modifying a hypercar

JDM Jack NFS Heat has 2-3 different models of the same McLaren, Lamborghini and Ferrari. Yet no Eclipse or Supra 🤷🏻♂️
Tee you have a point about the eclipse, but it seems the supra and toyota’s in general are gonna be in gt sport mostly for a while
I just realised... some cars are like, their base form... Lancer (not EVO), Impreza (not WRX), something we rarely see in games now...
That's why the Underground series where the best on the NFS series. They left it stock because it has a insanely huge amount of customization, there is no point of twitching the car.

Well its obvious but seeing Honda Civic and Lancer made me want them to come back
When i was kid i only use mitsubshi eclipse as my favorite because i cant got that damn orange car on the opening of game
I remember as a kid when i completed underground mode i would play it for hours on end on the same track (with bridge jump, inner city jumps (3 giant jumps), highway and slums with potholes) to unlock all bonus cars. I got all of them within a couple weeks because i would always get near misses as i drove in oncoming lane

haha true i do the same in my first patato pc that was my first game before to my pc have internet one friend install the game from cd and i play her a lot when i finish her i just do race for fun with all level 3 upgrades on the car full upgrade just for fun make random race on all maps with bridge jump was amazing when i find out you no need nos to jump on the bridge amazing old time for that when i finish her just i play her more for hours true i rememeber that in the same way i know how you feel :D it was super gold time :D and i use max music for this amazing songs they make me go faster haha good old time :D

I actually had not realized that until now. Usually, I have the music playing so I couldn't hear it before. But it makes sense though. The Subaru WRX did have turbo that came with it from the factory. I know this is especially because my brother used to own a 2005 WRX STI. It was pretty quick too, and was something I was trying to race when I built my project car, but he turned around and sold his WRX. R.I.P. 😒

unnecessary modifications that doesn't improve or even makes it worse, is RICE.
The definition of RICE i choose is Race Inspired Chosmetic Enchancements
If the part was inspired by something used in a race car but you install it in your car only for the looks as it does nothing good to it, its rice. People nowdays is overusing the term to refer to ugly cars.

I absolutely LOVE this game, it was a bomb in my childhood. The problem, same with Most Wanted, are the fans. They're toxic smh, bash the new games and their players, and constantly spam requests to EA to make a MW or UG remake. If you are one of the fanboys I described, I will not try to offend you, but you're stuck in the past.
All this game needed was freeroam and pursuits and there, this is the best NFS game
No matter how much EA is trying to improve and adapt the newer NFS games to be the best of the current generation with touch of old school tuning and classic cars, UG/MW fans with nostalgia goggles still bash the new games because of the nostalgia filter and it's really nerve grating to say at least.
Everyone calling this game a ricer game doesn't understand the concept of a rice car. A Rice car isn't body kits or spoilers or whatever, a Ricer is a person who wants to be someone whilst a tuner knows who they are. To tune a car you change the performance and such along with the style of the car, while when you "rice" a car you tend to make it LOOK like it's fast, but the performance just isn't there.

Damn this Civic. First version is like "The Cute Civic" and the second one is a psycho transformed cute but "Evil Civic". I did expected something weird about this Civic, but not this much! It's sorta scary... Good thing I didn't complete NFSU 2003, don't wanna race against it.
the first one is samantha's car, before u race with eddie, he wants u to challenge her. he crashes her car and after u beat her, the car is given to TJ (if u dont know tj, he is a mechanic) he done that paint job to the car and l8r, u race with him to get samantha's ride back (i find it creepy too lol)
You know back in the day after when I beat this game when I was 7 I started think to myself "Alright how you made these cars not rice" so I did all the cars into black all black which it was cool man I played this a bunch of times since 2008, 09, '10, '11, 14 and 2015 and I STILL love it

One of the best selections ever for 20 cars.
I remember seeing this as a kid at my cousins house on PC for the first time. When I saw a Golf 4 and a 206 roll up I was like “gtfoh with these regular ass boring cars !” Since the previous game had a bunch of unattainable super cars this was seriously weak. Then my cousin proceeded to modify the Golf and my Jaw dropped, I couldn’t believe that you were able to make a virtual car your own like that with real life rims and parts. And the nighttime racing with the reflections and all the effects it blew my mind. I didn’t have a pc at the time and I couldn’t stop thinking about it for weeks. This and Midnight Club 2 are probably the most influential racing games of all time IMO and my personal favorites. I wish I could go back and relive my childhood all over again, nostalgia is a beautiful thing.
