Nostalgia...Need for Speed Underground is still one of my favorite Need for Speed games of all time!! :)
It's the best one. I remember exactly where I was when it hooked me.
Look at all those customization options car games barely have that anymore.
New games have even more,not all car games tho.

The catch-up setting in this game is outrageous

Ah the good old days of NFS... How I really miss them and I used to play NFS Underground but I couldn't beat career mode completely because of how tough the game was with the walls, traffic and other obstacles in the way. Not to mention the map was disappearing to where I couldn't see where was I going which ticked me off.

I still play Underground to this day. In fact, I still have my physical copy on the PS2. It's a game I can never get tired of playing, even as a grown adult.
For what it was back then...that game was awesome! You can't get a racing game today with that much car customization in it anymore (unless I've missed one they've made recently). They just let you upgrade the power,change the color,and add wheels...bring back full customization in racing car games,please! That's the best part about a racing game! You would think so with technology nowadays!

Manufactures don't like see the cars with heavy customization like this, that is the cause today racing games don't have Underground tuning.

Trapple unfortunately Gran Turismo 5 isn't playable on RCPS3 yet, and its one of my favorite GT games next to Gran Turismo 1-3

I've never understood why people emulate a game in PCSX2 that has a PC release...
Maybe lack of compatibility and performance problems in newer operational systems... Or the person not having a CD/DVD drive to play, and/or not wanting to play a cracked version with virus.
And the PS2 version has native 2-player split screen.

Emulating PS2 games via PCSX2 and GameCube games via Dolphin often needs much CPU power.

PCSX2 Underground requires a max-spec pc to run flawlessly

Love this game.
I never played the original Underground. The only NFS games I got the chance to play were Underground 2, Most Wanted (2005) and Carbon. But I can appreciate that this game revolutionised the street racing game genre.

Rx-7 is my favorite car in this game
FACTS, that thing is better than the fucking Skyline even though the Skyline is better in every stat. Rx-7 has the best handling and the best top speed in game somehow.
It's my favorite in real life,...but sadly don't have mine anymore the cops took it..gotta settle for my eclipse gt, not bad, but not as fun as the old rotary.

Just leave all the settings on default mate. That's the best settings for most games. :)

Yep, Direct3D11 (Hardware) is much better than OpenGL ... n you'll get more (FPS).

El s2000 tal vez no tenga la mejor aceleración pero es un auto que tiene un gran control en las curvas y las puede tomar a alta velocidad, lo que hace la ilusión que es más rápido que los otros carros que deben bajar mucho la velocidad para tomar curbas sin chocar

Hello timeless, did you have to install the widescreen mod to make it look like this? I cant manage to get the proper aspect ratio, mine looks stretched and can't fix it on psx2. I even tried your settings
You need to use 'widescreen hack' to enable the 16:9 on this game, or try boot into PS2 Bios menu -> System Configuration -> Screen size and change it to 16:9.

Hey bro :) how you have 60 fps on race? i have 60fps on menu,cutscenes but in racing game look like have 30 fps :/. I have NTSC version nfs.
You need to use this cheat codes to enable the 60fps.

I don't know what i do bad but not work still racing look like 30fps. I created file with game cr code .pnach file and thi number cheat i added to pcsx2 cheat converter and i copied converted code but still not working.
Go to PCSX2 -> System -> Enable Cheats ... n make sure the game 'CRC' is CB99CD12.

Play the offical PC port, run in low spec computer.

Sorry, but it is a fake. With the license plate seen on the car it is clearly the PC port and not the ps2 (pcsx2) version. Or is there a patch that brings the plate to the ps2 version that I don't know about?

Might just be me, but I think the PS2 version looks a bit better than the PC version. Might be compatibility issues with the PC version tho.
