The video was, apparently, the rest of THIS stream where Doug set it up so the stream would end if viewership went under a certain threshold. He tried several methods to get his viewers to leave (like, actually leave, it wasn't a bit for him): sensory deprivation, sensory overload, leaving chat with only chair, leaving chat with nothing, a black screen with nothing, gaslighting, a fake "stream is over" screen, ACTUALLY LEAVING FOR SEVERAL HOURS. For anyone who wasn‘t there, after this Doug decided to do a challenge where he would end the stream if it‘s viewership went under 10K at any point. To ensure he could do this, he put chat through multiple tribulations, like: chair, stimulation overload, „stream offline“ card thingy, playing one round of Fortnite, and even mass raids on other channels (which was supposed to be his way out to finally end the stream while technically abiding by the rule), and after all that failed I think he ended the stream manually, but I don‘t quite remember…

@@lioco6124Likely given a lot of time to bake, chat mentions it being summer and the vid released in December, plus this was apparently his biggest stream so there may have been a higher standard for it. Or the editor just did this on a whim, idk.
@Bredstikc Hi, me editor. To pull back the curtain a bit on this one: Doug had me work on this video specifically because I enjoy working on visuals like this, and boy did this video need visuals of some kind
The editing of this video is REALLY good! Especially this one! Huge kudos to the editor(s?) because these little animations have so much life I love it so much
The best part was after this ended, he turned it into a minimum. Once less than like 12,000 viewers were there, the stream would end. We. Held. That fucking. Line. For hours!
Doug not realising that a screen with nothing happening will attract more viewers than actual content, see: paint drying, ice melting, eating water, placid plastic ducks.
I think a more fun way to do this is there can only be X number of chatters. Maybe 2,000. Every time someone chats, it checks if they are on the whitelist. If they aren't it adds them to the whitelist. Until the whitelist hits 2k. After that, someone chats and they aren't on the whitelist, BAN. Maybe have it so people can remove themselves from the whitelist when they leave. If someone is leaving, then can type GOODBYE into chat, removing themselves from the whitelist. They will no longer be able to chat in the stream after that, and the next person to chat who isn't on the whitelist will take their place.
I remember this stream. There were more than 8,000 people for like half an hour, and he wouldn't start. Edit: I made this comment before watching the video, and didn't think that Doug would include non content in the video. I don't know why I would think that

The "leave if you've imagined having a pet dinosaur" one would've made the stream _empty_ if people were being honest.
I didnt imagine having a pet dinosaur. Cause i actually had one
@skyethenerd1054 ...A chicken?
I can honestly say I never did that, even as a huge dinosaur fan when I was a kid.
@@MaxLennon _Sociopath behavior, tbh..._
real champions fantasized about BEING a dinosaur instead
I love the animated faces, AND THIS PART IS SO SMOOTH 1:59
I find it humorous that DougDoug treats his audience in chat as a Marshal law warden.
Glad to be one of the 60,000 before this video hit the 8,000 watcher limit
i love all the animations and especially the little twitch chat faces, editor did a great job
8:57- Noooo the poor red pepper!
the pupils shaking and slight tears whyyy how can they do this to the pepper :(
I love how Doug’s animation has grown over the years!
For the few that watched through my stream, thank you Dog Dog fam
I love the little clapping fellow at 11:51
@daandanx fr
Ticketmaster will now auction spots for Doug's viewers to be able to enter the stream
2:00 doug have you ever worked in food service? Thats literally what those apes- I mean "customers" do all the time
Nobody is talking about how good the editing is, especially the little bit with the food customers
The sound of the little arms coming out at 4:45 is my favourite thing
the fake end card was so realistic it actually got me
you better give the editor a raise on this one because this has some of the best, craziest editing on the dougdoug channel
I was on phone and got so confused when I saw PC end card, but yeah it's actually 1:1 I think, maybe it was recorded?
am i the only one who thinks this video has a different editing style than the others?
@liloskiller365 oh your right. The editing style is different. It also looks like so much more effort was put into it especially with the skits etc.
@@lioco6124Likely given a lot of time to bake, chat mentions it being summer and the vid released in December, plus this was apparently his biggest stream so there may have been a higher standard for it. Or the editor just did this on a whim, idk.
@Bredstikc Hi, me editor.
To pull back the curtain a bit on this one:
Doug had me work on this video specifically because I enjoy working on visuals like this, and boy did this video need visuals of some kind
The editing of this video is REALLY good! Especially this one! Huge kudos to the editor(s?) because these little animations have so much life I love it so much
I genuinely expected the bouncer to just be someone randomly kicking people out one by one for the rest of the stream.
Whoever edited this is amazing. These edits are awesome!
Edit: just occurred to me to check the description. Awesome job CyVoltage!
Thanks
The best part is that Doug got a viewership record during the stream where he wanted a low viewership.
Imagine entering a restaurant, and seeing 18000 people in there
😭😭
Doug is one of the only streamers that would limit their viewer count because it would be funny.

OH, OH, OH
VICTORY AT THE COST OF A TACO AND BAJA BLAST AT TACO BELL
The fact doug can make a stream that is mostly 90% a black screen entertaining by commentary and editing alone, is amazing.
THIS IS THE DOUGDOUG OVERFLOW STREAM!!! MY FAVOURITE MOMENT OF THE YEAR!! A TRUE COMMUNITY!
LONG LIVE OVERFLOW
I love the fact that there are custom twitch face mask emotions that's just so expressive
Man forgot to include the part where we stayed for 24 hours just saying hold the line. Good times
@Turboshark884 good time. HOLD THE LINE (for his defense, there is no footage of it)
4:45 I don’t like it :(
I remember this stream. There were more than 8,000 people for like half an hour, and he wouldn't start.
Edit: I made this comment before watching the video, and didn't think that Doug would include non content in the video.
I don't know why I would think that
THIS is the video that should be deleted at 1 million views.
I love love loveee the animations, Doug they are so amazing...
DOUBLE OR NOTHING
Whoever edited this is amazing. These edits are awesome!
This is genuinely one of my favorite streams ever just because of how much Doug suffered

8:05 socksarecool is the guy that ruined the first ever chat controlled stream doug made I will NOT forget
What did this scoundrel do?

He’s gotta make this a VOD!
The absolute commitment to the bit is always priceless. When Doug finds a bit you'll have to pry it from his cold dead hands to stop him
