The Lancer Evo was SO good in this game! Tons of acceleration and the handling was better than most cars in the game, allowing you to go almost top speed through a lot of the tracks the whole way. There was only 1 race that I truly fealt outmatched with a fully upgraded Evo, and that was late game, there was a long race against 3 fully upgraded Lambos, that race took me a long time to beat.
Yeah man I’m trying to remember if they nerfed the Evo 9 in Carbon. I think it was still the best tuner in Carbon, but it felt like the Evo 8 in Most Wanted was better.

If they just listen to their customers once, they could make their biggest masterpiece. Take NFS MW 2005 apart, then combine its system of racing and chasing along with the theme of blacklist. It doesn't have to be 15 blacklist, you can expand it to 30 or 50 for more content. Then expand car palette from 32 purchasable cars to let's say 150-250 cars which is acceptable because some games like Forza are offering 700+. Then combine today's graphics with all that and you have the best racing game from 2005 until now.
God I miss this game so so much! Would you happen to know a good emulator I could play this on for pc? Been looking around but I can’t find something that’s stable :( or if there’s like an updated game somewhere I can play. I remember on my old Xbox I had a maxed out evo. Loved just going on 30 plus minute chases with really high bounty scores 😂 so much fun!

Besides the DB9, Viper, Ford GT, TT Quatro, the Lambos, and of course the iconic M3, I gotta say a lot of the then-modern cars from the mid-2000's are starting to look pretty old now, and not in a cool "classic" way that cars from the 60's - 90's do, they're just outdated and boring.
I'll take early/mid 2000s cars over anything that's been made in the last 5 years. I think they aged pretty well. All we got now are boring cars with lifeless interiors and no soul whatsoever. And let's not mention the fact that 2 ton ++ SUVs are taking over the world right now.
