Only that I think the west coast where we rode is much more enjoyable to cycle than the rest of India.. try cycle early in the morning because the heat can get pretty intense, and it's a beautiful part of the day anyway, take a water filter, so you can filter tap water and always but plastic bottles. other than that, just enjoy all the delicious food, and all the great interactions you'll have with the people there, be open to meeting lots of new people because you'll find yourself with a million new friends. It was an awesome trip

Thanks for watching. All south east Asia is so nice, unfortunately Myanmar is not possible at the moment, but hopefully the situation there gets better in the future

Hey my friend ! Thanks for sharing your tips !
I would like to plan a "bicycle trip" in Asia between now and december.
    - Do you recommend to rent or buy a bike ? And if yes any advice on what to chose ?
    - Are you using a GPS to follow your trip and do you have special map with bicycle road as well ?
    - Is it easy to cross the border with a bicycle ? Do you have to disassemble the bike ?
    - Did you had any problem/flat tire or issue with your bike ?
Thanks a lot for your replies, that's so motivating !

Hi! No problem, happy to help! I would buy a bike, as you will probably be travelling very far on it, and renting for long distances/multiple countries can be hard. It's also nice to have your own bike, and they are quite cheap depending on where you buy them. If you fly into a city with a decathlon store, they have some great options.
To navigate we use an app called Komoot. It's the best. Takes you on all the quietest and best roads for cycling. Just set it to bike touring mode 👍
We had plenty of flat tyres, so make sure you have spare tubes and you know how to fix them, once your good at it it only takes a couple minutes. Only a few other minor issues with the bikes, and there are bike stores in most towns of a decent size.

Oh, and yes it's super easy to cross borders with the bike, you just ride across. Not all borders, can be crossed by foreigners though, some of the small ones are locals only, so just check on google maps first

What’s your plan for Malaysia ? I am starting my trip on the 22nd in KL and heading through the Cameroon highlands to the east coast. Might see you on the road ;)

We'll be entering from Thailand on the west coast, and thinking we'll stick to the coast. The highlands look great though so we could venture inland for that. Hit us up on Instagram, would be great to follow your ride
