    Masterfully edited and very entertaining! It was so nice that you took the less-driven side roads. The Komoot App is also very cool for cyclists!

      It's not as bad as you'd think. From Don Mueng, you just have to do a little bit of freeway, then you can cross on an overpass, and get to some quieter back roads that take you down to Khao San area. There's a route GPS link in the video description 👍

    I stayed at Kra Buri Pier the other night... what a shithole lolol, no fridge rock hard bed with a bedbug ridden throw over no sheets, it was a fisheries wharf with a narrow street of slum like shacks and stalls.. In Chumphon tonight heading along the coastline to HuaHin over the next 3 days.. Chiang Mai and follow the border down to the bottom and cross through Cambodia and follow the borders all around Vietnam, then same Laos then of to Nepal ...

      Ha oh no! Yeah that's not the nicest area down by the pier. Plenty of great spots along the coast up to Hua Hin and beyond. Enjoy the trip!

    Why choose this route and not go down to Koh Samui? Curious as I’m going to do a similar route next week

    • @weridebikesplaces
      @weridebikesplaces  24 дня назад

      @@brandonshaw2200 we find the islands on the west coast a bit nicer, There's so many small ones to visit, which are less touristy than the ones around ko Samui. In saying that, we've heard the ride down the east coast is great. You can't really go wrong in Thailand

      @weridebikesplaces  Месяц назад +1

      Thanks for watching! We rode this section in January, and it took around a month. You could do it faster or slower depending on how much time you have, I'd prefer to do it slower to take more time to enjoy all the islands along the way

      @@everythingexplored5233 we rode about 50km per day, and didn't take the most direct routes. There's so many small towns and places to see in Thailand it's nice to ride shorter days and spend time exploring all these places, and eating lots of food..
