Bike touring down Malaysia's West Coast

- Riding our bikes from Thailand to Singapore down the west coast of Malaysia. Stopping off in Georgetown, Kuala Lumpur and Malacca along the way, eating every different cuisine we could find, and meeting and hanging out with the friendly and welcoming locals along the way.
As part of our round the world bike tour, Malaysia was an amazing place to visit. the mix of cultures and foods was a highlight. South east Asia is an epic place to explore, and Malaysia is one of the best parts of it. We will definitely be coming back here for more adventures both on and off our bikes.

Good to see another episode from you. Seeing those monkeys and dogs from other vids, can I ask about rabies vaccination (if you’ve had one that is). Did you get them in Australia before leaving home or on the road? I’m starting my trip in June through Europe and eventually to SE Asia 😊
Cheers! No we didn't get any rabies vaccinations. We did consider it, mainly before India, due to the high rate there, but didn't end up getting them. We've been fine obviously, only once a monkey really threatened us, and dogs are all bark
Hey man ! Congrats for your trip ! I have a question, I live in HK and would like to do a bicycle trip in Asia (thailand, laos, Vietnam or Malaysia). Do you rent your bicycle somewhere or did you buy on the country ? do you have any tips if I would like to do this type of trip ?
Hi! Cheers! We bring our bikes with us, as we've been riding all around the world. We have some other videos from all those countries too, as well as one that gives tips for riding there specially! As you live in HK youl be somewhat used to the heat, which is the main thing when riding there, so just stay hydrated and don't try push yourself too far.. Out of those countries, Thailand has been our favourite to ride. Let us know if you have any specific questions on where you decide to go!

Are you guys using google map?
No, we use the app, komoot. It's the best we've found for bike touring, takes you on some nice quiet roads, sometimes on some pretty wild trails
How did you patch the tire?
We use quick patches when the puncture isn't too big, otherwise we change for a new tube 👍

After how many Kilometers, do you need to change your tyres?
Hey! We actually just changed our tyres after riding them for almost 20'000kms! They were schwalbe marathons, and of course we replaced them with the same

By the way, how do you carry your bicycle while you embark on aircraft?
We take them apart and put them in a box to go on the plane as luggage. You can see us putting them back together in the airport at the start of our first video in UAE 🙂

We use 50mm wide. The surely is 650b and my Kona is 700
