I would like to see a tutorial about how you do stuff in iMovie and then how you do the same thing in Final Cut Pro. I’d also like to see a walk-through of what all the settings\buttons mean on FCP.
I've watched a few of these tutorials now. Though they're aimed at the absolute beginner, they're full of good sense, handy shortcuts, and delivered with a straight-to-the-point precision. Among the best on the subject on RUclips. Many thanks. Subscribed
I have similar tips and tricks that literally save me HOURS of time every week! Nolan is a beast and his tips are amazing so write them down if you haven't already!
Nolan, thanks so very much for this video. great help and great tips. You just save me some time as I am just starting out as a Content Creator. Thanks, Glen
I decided to use FCPX so I didn't have to pay a monthly subscription, but all the tutorials seem to favor Adobe Premiere and After Effects. Thanks for this video.
Stick with it. All are 3 editors are good and have strengths and weaknesses, but for me FCPX is head and shoulders the king for Mac editors. Tons of good tuts - check out Ripple training - they are great.
Another strong tool for quick editing with the audio waves that I do is clap into the mic. 1 clap = bad take; 2 claps = good take; 3 claps = mostly good until the end. I can edit without even listening to the footage.
These are great! Keep them FCPX tutorials coming.. I’d love to see one on how I should be storing all my files to optimize the space used by FCPX on my hard drive.. seems like each project takes up like 50GB of space on my hard drive :(
Nolan I just bought the FIFINE microphone, could you explain what software and how to transfer the audio of the mic to the video on final cutx, have a lot of trouble with it.
I have tried FCPX, Premiere Pro, and DaVinci Resolve, but I can never get used to the organization system on FCPX, or the node-based system in DaVinci, so I always resort back to Premiere Pro 😕.
SUPER TIP: edit on an SSD so you never have to use proxies. Also, turn off background rendering. Again, I think it's the SSD, but it's been many years since I've had to render anything, so I'm not even sure what rendering means any more. Based on use with 2014 iMac
I feel like these new M1 Pro/Max Macbooks have rendered proxy's obsolete. I've edited a few videos now using lots of 4k and 5k footage without proxies and it hasn't even flinched.
Hey, I have a huge problem with my channel for the last 2 or 3 weeks I'm not getting any any views ( everything was ok till then). I don't know if some option got turned off or on ; or maybe good blocked my audience). Please help , If you can't do you know anyone from youtube customer service or some previous employer. Thanks.
Okay, for a beginner I have to stop and replay quite often because he talks and shoots around the screen waaaaay to fast!! :( I love the clarity of images and the information is top notch...if you slowed it down a bit I think it would be more comprehensive, at least for me.

omg yes same...I even use an external 1 tb hard drive and had to delete so many videos from them because I kept running out of space
I really appreciate these videos. I am new and learning Final Cut Pro. My main comment is, bro, that water bottle though lol. I need one.
Really enjoyed watching this video, even though I am not making videos.
Hi, Nolanmolt I have a question in final cut pro when we export a video in final cut pro does final cut pro contains a watermark in that video?
Nolan I just bought the FIFINE microphone, could you explain what software and how to transfer the audio of the mic to the video on final cutx, have a lot of trouble with it.

When you get these tips down you can edit a video in about as much time as it took to film it.
Very useful tips
Fabulous detail! Something equivalent in non-apple would be great! I'm not about to engage the core! Cheers
Using Davinci, but still gonna watch this video

Thank you 🌹🌹❤🥰
We've been using iMovie, but I think it's about time to switch to something like Final Cut Pro. Is it worth it?
One great thing about FCPX is free updates. I paid for it once 10 years ago. It's worked out to £2.50 ($2.50) per month so far. Best NLE ever
Yeah, it's Molt-Sensei!
can I use this on a macbook 12 ?
Nice Video❤❤
Is a history youtube channel a good idea
How do you tell the difference between a laggy file, and a damaged file?

That is the biggest water bottle I've ever seen 😂 But I'm here for it! - I need something like that to remember to drink water working from home!!
I feel like these new M1 Pro/Max Macbooks have rendered proxy's obsolete. I've edited a few videos now using lots of 4k and 5k footage without proxies and it hasn't even flinched.
The intro was hilarious tho 😭😭😭
There go years of valuable time I lost with iMovie and no presets
