Before anyone starts asking “Will this Commission Track be the official Death Battle Music?” No, it won’t. "Fine, I'll do it myself." -Commissioner of Wrath of the Gods, probably. Also quite funny that a track involving Kratos and Asura, two characters that aren't very fond of the gods of their universes, ends up named the same as a Therewolf Media track about Odin VS Zeus, two gods known for being kind of jerks. Funny coincidence. Really happy that this matchup is getting a track given it's been denied its episode for the second year in a row now so a song's a more than decent consolation price. And it wasn't halfhearted either. Just looking at the fact that it features Therewolf Media and the sheer quality of the track art shows it's got quite a lot of effort put into itself. And that's something that's completely audible in the track itself. It wonderfully gets across all sides of the characters and all that in an absolutely epic and emotional song that sounds great. It finds a really good balance between conveying the sheer power and wrath of the characters with overpowering percussions along with sheer amount of instruments and the calmer and more tragic side of the characters with much softer and composed chants and brass/wind notes. Notably this mix is very interestingly integrated in the song's duration as a whole entire dynamic. The song first starts, of course pretty powerfully with the percussions, but is most notably quite composed with a crescendo wind melody that gives it an almost uplifting and hopeful atmosphere to it. It really feels like the fight begins with the two not actually wanting to fight one another but still showcasing impressive amounts of power, albeit in a controlled measure as they still think they can stop the fight before having to kill their enemy. But as the song progresses this dynamic slowly shifts the opposite way. Starting at 0:56 where we get something much more imposing and powerful than before to get across how the two of them are slowly letting go of their morals, even if there most definitely still is reason in their actions as is proven by the very melodic wind instrument still being heard all throughout even the most powerful segments. The presence of this wind instrument to me showcases the will and determination those two have to hold on to their ideals and morals: even if they come to realize that they're fighting to the death, they try their hardest to give the best of themselves in a way that respects the opponent and to not lash out in rage. But once the song calms down as a break in the fight happens, it's clearly audible that the two have come to terms with the fact that they're not getting out of there alive unless they use lethal force, which is why when the song starts picking up again starting at 2:22, instead of "mellowing down" to have the wind instrument be the leading one like before in the song (1:25), it just picks up once again in intensity with the percussions gaining more power and overshadowing the previously lead wind instrument. This to me showcases, as said before, the two letting go of their morals and ideals as they realize only sheer power will lead them to victory and how, for perhaps one final time, they must showcase the true rage that brought them to where they are in the hopes of winning this battle. Which leads the song in its final segment starting at 2:53 with Therewolf's absolutely fantastic guitar solo segment, showcasing a final clash between the two where they just lash out in rage and power at the other. I really like the sheer scale and power that this segment has because, while it most definitely gets the rage of the characters across, it also gets their sadness and tragedy across. The percussions that are constant and impactful along with the guitar that sounds almost frenetic feel like a forced march onwards onto nothing, it is a wrath with no goal nor reason that just keeps on going without stop which is exactly what the characters have come to despise about themselves and their surroundings. It represents wonderfully how, while of course seeing the two rage in a final epic clash would be absolutely amazing to see, it'd also be a tragic finish because it'd go against their very ideals. Which is why, when the song starts to stop as the fight comes to an end at 3:34, it doesn't end in a joyful or epic final note but instead a slow and sad descent that finishes into a final set of piano notes. It absolutely perfectly gets across how this fight wasn't one of heroes but of broken warriors that gave out everything they had for one final fight that pushed and destroyed the last of their ideals so that they could come out alive, making the winner of this clash victorious only in a pyrrhic sense. Because while they won the battle, not only did it result in the death of an individual they could identify with but it resulted in them shattering their morals. Truly a wonderfully tragic ending to such a matchup, it's not the happy ending either character deserves for sure but it's the ending that such a matchup would most likely have if a battle to the death between the two were to happen. Overall this track is, unsurprisingly, really freaking good. It captures every sides of the characters from their more brutal and violent sides to their most composed and pacific ideals which all around results in a perfectly fitting and appreciable song that also has a very good story-driven dynamic. I also didn't mention it a lot but of course Therewolf's participation in the track massively improves it if not only for that ending solo that gives even more life to the song than it already had. All of Kratos and Asura's tracks on this channel have been outstanding and this one is no exception because it's borderline perfect at what it strives to do, the only regret I have being that we won't be able to hear in the episode itself when it inevitably happens in Death Battle (altho I have no doubt that will it be Therewolf or Brandon that does the track will manage to at the very least equal if not better this song for the occasion). Wonderful job with this to both artists.
The ending of this track has me imagine the fight ending in a manner similar to All Might vs Might Guy, where one of them kills their opponent and acknowledging them as a worthy fighter before succumbing to their wounds immediately after. As their bodies lay bloodied on the ground, a huge downpour begins to start as the rain douses off the fire caused by their fight, symbolising that their rage has finally ended and they can now find peace in death
Howdy Commissioner here, been a fan of this mu for a long time and decided to give this one try. The amount of support the mu has gotten is cool to see and love how the track came out capturing both perfectly, continued bangers from yates and therewolf. And a shoutout for dek for the amazing cover art.
My friend, as i'm sure you now know, your prayers for this MU to happen have been answered. Here's hoping your BANGER of a commission here is used in the actual fight
In Therewolf Media channel there's a commission track which is also called like this, the only difference is that one is about Zeus VS Odin from their respective mythologies, and in the God Of War games are based on both Greek and Norse mythologies. Oh, and both MUs were featured in the Tournament of Champions and both ended up losing. Coincidence? I THINK NOT!!!
Somebody went insanely hard on the cover art and the track is just as good. Hope this gets a vocal version someday. The references in the cover are great. Asura and Kratos are in the positions that Asura and Wyzen were with Asura taking Wyzen's place in the Heavens. Asura in his destructor form. The rain of fists from when he went up against a horde of Gohma while armless. If I remember correctly while we have seen Kratos bound by his own blades before, this maybe a reference to Nemean Crush, which by the name was originally for the Nemean Cestus, he now does the maneuver with the Blades of Chaos where he extends his blades behind him and then slams them together for an explosion.
I feel like Kratos would spend the fight convincing Asura to not fight, to grow as he did, to be better for their children so that they can be better Gods, Kratos in the new God of War has time to reflect and know tjat nothing good comes from killing Gods, he simply wishes for Atreus to be better than him
We'll get this one as an official matchup someday. In the meantime though, let's just bask in the glory that is this music. EDIT: We did it. It's almost here.

I have known death battle for a while and I’m well aware that even though Asura has everything to win, they’ll come up with some bs scaling to make Kratos the winner.
Sense the episodes that lost the tourney aren’t technically disconfirmed from the season it’s still possible it’ll appear in season 11, and I can’t wait for it!
@@MidnightPhantom sure, which is sad as a Xenoblade fan, Lightning held us back, who even talks about FF13 anymore? At least Shulk was relevant in discussions back in 2023. Surely there are more relevant MU’s for Shulk that draw parallels or complimentaries in future sight, dominance in magic system’s resource, an avatar rebelling against their God, etc..
At the pinnacle of their duel, the two Gods of Wrath and Vengeance, fiercely crash their fists together, their battle being felt throughout the realms. Eventually, they’ve clashed so hard that they’ve literally hit each other back in time once more, to the beginning of the universe. Both fighters now on one humongous asteroid have reached their peaks “This cycle will end here!” Asura says, his voice bellowing throughout the cosmos. He rushes, aura surrounding his golden fist once more. Kratos stands there preparing for the incoming strike. “WE DO NOT BELONG IN THIS WORLD, DISAPPEAR!” Kratos attempts to block, but the attack was far too fast and powerful for defense. Asura’s fist smashes against the Ghost of Sparda’s bearded face. Asura began pushing, pushing, and PUSHING B B B B B B B B B B B B B B B- As pools of energy spurted from the clash… Asura could feel as though… he’s making no progress. His anger has broken through his limits, yet to no avail. Kratos grabbed the God’s fist. “No. Death can have me… when it earns me.” Swiftly, Kratos pushed the golden fist , redirecting the attack entirely. The canon of wrath from Asura’s fist shoots out into distant space. “Huh?!” Is all Asura could muster to say. Kratos chopped Asura’s neck, pushing Asura down. Despite all his rage, Asura was now edging towards defeat. He looked at the God of War and sensed something… different. No anger, vengeance, it was something deeper. He rubbed his neck, seeing streaks of blue flame-like energy on it. “This power… what IS THIS?!” Kratos turned to his advisary and stared deep into his soul. Asura saw a gleaming blue light, the same on his neck, in Kratos’s eyes. What was originally a sliver is now at full power. “Hope. It is what makes us strong. It is what we fight with to when all else is lost” He said calmly. Asura struggled to his feet, but understood. He closed his eyes and reached deep inside of him… for his own hope. “Durga… wait for me.” Understanding that this could be the end, both Gods readied themselves and steeled their resolve, charging at each other one last time…
3:45 What I imagine here If Kratos wins: He’d say a few words showing Asura respect as he dies. If Asura wins: After (somehow) permanently killing Kratos, out of pure rage, Asura turns into his berserk form and roars into the sky.
If I told y’all that this is my most wanted matchup, then you’d probably guess that seeing it lose out on two community polls, no less getting second place in both, was kind of devastating. Seeing that next time preview after Among Us vs Fall Guys was enough to bring the flame of hype within me roaring in life once again. (Translation: me big happy)
No matter who Death Battle decides will win, (Personally I believe Asura given the shear scaling of accomplishments and durability.) this battle is just gonna be sad to watch. A god slaying father taking down gods to avenge their family and free the world, versus a god slaying father taking down gods to avenge their family and free the world. No matter who wins, the world loses a hero, and a child loses their parent. I don't even think the two would WANT to fight after a point.
This track and its art should be preserved in an ancient temple to be worshipped for how hard it pops off! While I'm glad Tom vs Wile E beat this in the tournament, I still hope we get it someday.
I imagine Asura eventually going to his Destructor form and Kratos using his Blades of Chaos to Climb up Asura and go inside his body while planning on using the Blade of Olympus to kill him from the inside
Kratos: I've see the way you fight to protect your loved ones Asura: As do I, "Ghost of Sparta" Kratos: Then let me test your resolve... FIGHT (Note: Yes, I do think it's a friendly spar, not a battle of them just going ham from the get-go, I think a spar is more is better than just a bloodbath, and I do think it will turn into bloodbath later into the fight, but other than that, the fight is just the two being friends)
(The end) *Kratos or Asura...stand still With the Fist almost Touching the fsce of His Opponent* Asura: You...are Strong... Kratos: So as you.... *Meanwhile Atreus and Mitra look the end* Atreus: Huh....i Though my Father could Kill your father Mitra: i was thinking the Same thing... *Both Kids looks their Parents* Kratos: i feel your Pain Asura: I feel Your Wrath Kratos and Asura: We are the Same....
3:45 Kratos: You let wrath consumes you...but you are powerful warrior and have my respect. Hope for our path cross again. * Kratos leaves the place while the only thing asura left was his arm with his fist closed, announcing kratos victory.
Thanks Therewolf for helping out here and JPVS Scores You Will Revere Our Names, giving your helping hand so that they turn out as great as they did. Thank you!
Although the Kratos in the artwork is clearly his Olympian incarnation, I feel like Kratos’s Norse incarnation would probably be used if we ever did get a Death Battle between him and Asura.
I like to think in the death battle we will see him in his Ragnarok incarnation but as soon as the guitar riff hits and he goes into his spartan rage he burns off all of his hair to show his greek form.
Asura wins pretty handedly, mostly cause all of Kratos’ high tier stuff comes from novels that are secondary canon and statements with no actual in game backing. Meanwhile Asura casually fights way higher tier stuff by default. Him killing Wyzen is one of his weakest and yet still trumps everything Kratos has ever been seen to do.
Asura can fight the creator of the universe. Nobody in God of War has ever been shown to be able to destroy even a moon. I have valid proof. You don't. @@J16232

On the topic of Asura’s Wrath, outside of Asura himself, I think the only other characters who could have potential for a Death Battle or DBX are Augus, Chakravartin, Deus, Wyzen and Yasha, as they are the only other characters who actually fight in the game, whereas the other three Deities - Kalrow, Olga and Sergei - don’t really fight themselves, and instead they command armies Yasha especially, since he’s the only other character you get to play as in the game

Kratos: “My Vengeance Ends Now….”
Asura: “My Wrath is Finally…Gone”
Both of them Literally gives me Chills…
The ending of this track has me imagine the fight ending in a manner similar to All Might vs Might Guy, where one of them kills their opponent and acknowledging them as a worthy fighter before succumbing to their wounds immediately after. As their bodies lay bloodied on the ground, a huge downpour begins to start as the rain douses off the fire caused by their fight, symbolising that their rage has finally ended and they can now find peace in death
their anger couldn't be more peaked.
literally “to angry to die” **the fight**
Howdy Commissioner here, been a fan of this mu for a long time and decided to give this one try. The amount of support the mu has gotten is cool to see and love how the track came out capturing both perfectly, continued bangers from yates and therewolf. And a shoutout for dek for the amazing cover art.
Good news my guy
My friend, as i'm sure you now know, your prayers for this MU to happen have been answered. Here's hoping your BANGER of a commission here is used in the actual fight
Who's here after the end of Fall Guys vs Among Us?
We aren’t ready for this.
THIS HAS FINALLY HAPPENING! THIS IS GOING TO BE AN ACTUAL DEATH BATTLE EPISODE FOR SEASON 11! 🤩🤩🤩🔥🔥🔥
THE KRATOS VS ASURA IS REAL!!!
Gentlemen. ITS HAPPENING RAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH🔥🔥🔥
YES SIR! YES SIR!
I feel like Kratos would spend the fight convincing Asura to not fight, to grow as he did, to be better for their children so that they can be better Gods, Kratos in the new God of War has time to reflect and know tjat nothing good comes from killing Gods, he simply wishes for Atreus to be better than him
Gentlemen, synchronise your death watches...
Synced.
Now do Asura vs Kratos vs Doomslayer lol. Anyways this is a golden sounding track.
Kratos FTW
We'll get this one as an official matchup someday.
In the meantime though, let's just bask in the glory that is this music.
EDIT: We did it. It's almost here.
And that day is TODAY!
We got it today!!!
Today owo
Safe to say this comment aged like fine wine cuz it's official😊😊😊
Coming here to warm up for the ultimate god to god slugfest in DB

You typed all of this in two minutes wow
given the feats, i'd have to go with Asura
I have known death battle for a while and I’m well aware that even though Asura has everything to win, they’ll come up with some bs scaling to make Kratos the winner.
@@AdacherTrueSelfThis matchup is gonna be the litmus test of feats vs scaling/statements.
me to@@kingofmonsters14
Here's to hoping they use this in the upcoming episode.
Probably not if you haven’t realized about it
I hope parts of the track get remade/referenced in the official track for the next episode.
I like how this is in G-Minor,
like the God Of War III Hercules Battle Theme and Glory Of Sparta.
Reserving my spot before this episode becomes real.
This track is GODLIKE!
I can't wait for you to somehow top it when Kratos vs Asura is confirmed for Death Battle Season 32!
Sense the episodes that lost the tourney aren’t technically disconfirmed from the season it’s still possible it’ll appear in season 11, and I can’t wait for it!
@@greenboy646It shouldn't appear in Season 11. It lost fair & square & it being in the tournament would be meaningless
@@greenboy646 i hope that the godzilla vs hulk episode would also be discontinued cause of the size difference it would be very annoying to watch.
@@rexyjp1237 It can't be that bad, we got Frieza vs Meg, and look how that turned out.
This matchup feels like its ripped straight from both games and I love it
Will the Ghost of Sparta overwhelm Asura the Destructor, or will Asura's Wrath prove too much for the God of War?
At the pinnacle of their duel, the two Gods of Wrath and Vengeance, fiercely crash their fists together, their battle being felt throughout the realms. Eventually, they’ve clashed so hard that they’ve literally hit each other back in time once more, to the beginning of the universe. Both fighters now on one humongous asteroid have reached their peaks
“This cycle will end here!”
Asura says, his voice bellowing throughout the cosmos. He rushes, aura surrounding his golden fist once more. Kratos stands there preparing for the incoming strike.
“WE DO NOT BELONG IN THIS WORLD, DISAPPEAR!”
Kratos attempts to block, but the attack was far too fast and powerful for defense. Asura’s fist smashes against the Ghost of Sparda’s bearded face. Asura began pushing, pushing, and PUSHING
B B B B B B B B B B B B B B B-
As pools of energy spurted from the clash… Asura could feel as though… he’s making no progress. His anger has broken through his limits, yet to no avail. Kratos grabbed the God’s fist.
“No. Death can have me… when it earns me.”
Swiftly, Kratos pushed the golden fist , redirecting the attack entirely.
“This power… what IS THIS?!”
Kratos turned to his advisary and stared deep into his soul. Asura saw a gleaming blue light, the same on his neck, in Kratos’s eyes. What was originally a sliver is now at full power.
“Hope. It is what makes us strong. It is what we fight with to when all else is lost”
He said calmly. Asura struggled to his feet, but understood. He closed his eyes and reached deep inside of him… for his own hope.
“Durga… wait for me.”
Understanding that this could be the end, both Gods readied themselves and steeled their resolve, charging at each other one last time…
*("IT'S TIME TO FACE YOUR FFFFEEEEAAAARRRRSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!")*
I really do hope this becomes an official matchup on Death Battle. Kratos in particular is LONG overdue for a return to Death Battle
IT'S HAPENIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What I imagine here
If Kratos wins: He’d say a few words showing Asura respect as he dies.
If Asura wins: After (somehow) permanently killing Kratos, out of pure rage, Asura turns into his berserk form and roars into the sky.
Angry dad fight? Angry dad fight.
Also we better see a bunch of button and stick prompts on screen.
This is exactly the name I would've gone with for this matchup.
2 titans of battle! 2 titans of music! 1 godlike track!
Oh hell yes. There is no fury stronger than that of a furious parent but for these two even the gods aren't safe from their wrath when truly riled.
The fight we've all wanted to see.
Two angry dads beating the shit out of each other
One of
Evidently not but it would be awesome.
It's finally happening... _this_ is finally happening!!
Here's hoping for Cody vs.Axel next season, perhaps?🤞
If I told y’all that this is my most wanted matchup, then you’d probably guess that seeing it lose out on two community polls, no less getting second place in both, was kind of devastating. Seeing that next time preview after Among Us vs Fall Guys was enough to bring the flame of hype within me roaring in life once again. (Translation: me big happy)
It’s also kinda poetic that this is coming out BEFORE Wile E. Coyote VS Tom Cat
It would be like Thor vs Kratos.
2:55 is just one massive QTE
If Brandon cooked on this, chances are he’s gonna do the same for the official episode.
Amazing "Wrath of the Gods" is perfect for these characters
The song is just as hardcore as it is emotional. A perfect representation of their respective journeys.
Can’t wait! I love Asura! It’s such a cool matchup and whether Asura wins or loses, I win for seeing my boy
Kratos: I've see the way you fight to protect your loved ones
Asura: As do I, "Ghost of Sparta"
Kratos: Then let me test your resolve...
FIGHT
(Note: Yes, I do think it's a friendly spar, not a battle of them just going ham from the get-go, I think a spar is more is better than just a bloodbath, and I do think it will turn into bloodbath later into the fight, but other than that, the fight is just the two being friends)
(The end)
*Kratos or Asura...stand still With the Fist almost Touching the fsce of His Opponent*
Asura: You...are Strong...
Kratos: So as you....
*Meanwhile Atreus and Mitra look the end*
Atreus: Huh....i Though my Father could Kill your father
Mitra: i was thinking the Same thing...
*Both Kids looks their Parents*
Kratos: i feel your Pain
Asura: I feel Your Wrath
Kratos and Asura: We are the Same....
Anyone else remember when Asura’s most popular opponent was Broly?
Me neither
The track is really good! I need this to become a Death Battle either in this upcoming season or the next
God MU, god track, 10/10, very nice. Thx for everything Brandon
LETS GO BABY!!! I can feel the actual episode coming closer and closer!

Holy Shit DK went god mode for the cover, your art team have been cooking this volume 🔥. Killer track as well you and Therewolf did this MU justice 👌
Fiiiiiiiiiiight.
This is incredible. And I commissioned Wrath of the Gods (Zeus vs Odin)
Thanks Therewolf for helping out here and JPVS Scores You Will Revere Our Names, giving your helping hand so that they turn out as great as they did. Thank you!
Guess what’s happening in the Kickstarter!
Although the Kratos in the artwork is clearly his Olympian incarnation, I feel like Kratos’s Norse incarnation would probably be used if we ever did get a Death Battle between him and Asura.
This is the ragnarok Kratos, Sparta Kratos was barechested, if you pay atention to the artwork
@@rexturbo10 To be fair, I haven’t gotten around to playing Ragnarok yet, and I’ve purposely been avoiding videos to avoid spoilers.
I like to think in the death battle we will see him in his Ragnarok incarnation but as soon as the guitar riff hits and he goes into his spartan rage he burns off all of his hair to show his greek form.
Now we just need to get Hulk and Doom Slayer in on this for peak ANGRY.
This is great, this MU has special place in my heart, and the music is PERFECT! 🙏

@@General_Nitro1020 No Problem. Also, not only those matchups, but plenty more to come.
Asura soloes the entire God of War Franchise.

❤ this music I hope they use this soundtrack in a match between Kratos vs Asura on death battle.
Saw this artwork a while back; so glad to see it finally get put to use!
Certainly worth the hype. The team-up between legends never dissapoints!
"Alex Mcgrath" & "tom fooler. E" may have got lucky wining the champions tournament/poll but this still isn't gonna end the war.
That cover art goes hard
After Kratos vs Asura they need to do Zeus vs Deus
This almost feels like the fans who want this match are being taunted.
On the topic of Asura’s Wrath, outside of Asura himself, I think the only other characters who could have potential for a Death Battle or DBX are Augus, Chakravartin, Deus, Wyzen and Yasha, as they are the only other characters who actually fight in the game, whereas the other three Deities - Kalrow, Olga and Sergei - don’t really fight themselves, and instead they command armies
Yasha especially, since he’s the only other character you get to play as in the game
Augus vs kenpachi will make a good dbx
Oh hell yeah, let's throw in Doom Slayer just to spice things up for the Holy Trinity.
The Father Kratos
The Son Doom Slayer
The Holy Spirit Asura
Let your hatred swell with rage unquelled, unbroken.
This was hype as fuck -for a mid match- Brandon and Therewolf! Especially the end when the drums go off! Definitely sounds like something I'd hear in Asura's Wrath (not sure about god of war since I haven't played them). Rooting Asura, thinking Kratos will win the episode since they buy lore statements
Agreed. I'm a bigger fan of Asura VS Adam
An alternate name would be God of Wrath
Welp can’t say this wasn’t coming props
I really hope this gets a vocal version

Awesome job Brandon and Aaron😁👍👏
It’s criminal how this song doesn’t have million of views right now. Maybe the fight itself can change that.
Yo that track art is amazing
