Asura’s mantra comes from his necessity for wrath. The more rage he has the stronger he gets. We see DBS Broly has a limit to his rage, meanwhile Asura’s growth in mantra is limitless as long as his rage is constantly provoked by sadness, trauma, and stakes. The way I see this battle going, is Asura just barely solos all except heroes broly, however I suspect that if dbs Broly were cruel enough to kill Asura’s daughter that he would lose his wrath and be defeated with ease.

Why do people assume otherworld transcends dimensions? It being a "higher dimension" is likely referring to it being literally drawn above the regular universe, and the afterlife in dragon ball. Also it's never stated that otherworld has no concept of time, it seems to function like a regular universe.

In dragon ball full color: majin boo arc volume #05 from July 2014 Toriyama even goes as far as stating "I thought up the ball-like world so that it’d be easy for both me and the readers to wrap our minds around !" Meaning it's not meant to be taken litteral just like other cosmological map such as DC's map of the multiverse. There are also other pieces of evidence showing us that the afterlife isn't "placed above the living World" such as another statement from Toriyama of that same interview where he states "Though gods are supposed to be *transcendent beings* , this lot have pervy interests, are fond of driving, etc… Somehow, they feel human and familiar?" another one is DBZ episode 8 where it's blatantly stated that the living world and the afterlife are seperated by time and space showing us that they're seperated realms rather than realities placed in a bellow/above relationship so all of this combined with Daizenshuu 4's statement of the afterlife transcending dimensions makes it very clear that it's not just above the living world, for the no concept of time statement it's verbatim stated in the super exciting that there's no concept of time in the afterlife which is backed up by chapter 476 where Goku states "In this world *where time is a thing* , the energy we use is too great and we're exhausted all at once..." backing up further that the afterlife lacks time which would make sense as Goku is stated to not have aged there. Also the statement is pretty cut and dry so i don't really understand that interpretation. Not really it's a bit different, Goku talks about time because super saiyan 3 works best in places where time doesn't exist like the afterlife but in places like the living world where time exist it can't be used properly, also altough yes most souls in the afterlife are incorporeal spirits there is special cases with guys like Goku or Pikkon who posess their bodies, so knowing this it would'nt make sense for Goku to use that sentence in the context you mention

But the power levels in DB are at such ridiculous heights now that I can't really deny Broly is probably the victor if we include all of his appearances and powerups. It's impossible by definition to traverse an infinite amount of space. Infinite speed would mean that you occupy every single point in the universe at the same time though, so that's pretty cool.
@Galamoth06 even then, applying this logic wouldn't make sense in retrospect considering that infinite space and time being traversed logically means it requires a quantifiable amount of time, so traversing it would need to have a stated finite time or Calc, otherwise the feat in itself is kinda useless. Infinite speed also doesn't suggest omnipresence either(that's not speed to begin with), but even then there are different levels of infinity(alephs) in fiction, hence why the terms multiversal exists.
While true, it doesn't correlate to somehow having 500 years of durability either. If broly had infinite power for an hour but asura was only planetary, the endurance doesn't really matter, (it's just an example that's not what I think their power is)
I looked up multiple things of power steering. and I can't find a D rank. It only goes to A B C. And I looked up again. That 8A is multi-city block level. And give me the number bigger you're making. The smaller the numbers the stronger the character. Like 3A is universe level and 1A is Outerverse and the rank 0 is Boundless. Like I agree with everything you said about power stealing them. I just want to tell you that you got something wrong okay. I do agree the asura would wen.
I think it’s from them both being action beat-em-ups with similar control schemes, similar protagonists (guy too angry to die, fighting gods, large part of their anger comes from a betrayal involving their wife and kid) and just overall fairy identical gameplay loops (attack enemy, get them stunned, finish with O, as well as their super bombastic and cinematic boss fights that end with quick time events)
Recently made Asura in DBXV2. But i never knew there was a debate! All i. All, i do agree with the results. If it was Z Broly (not heroes) feel like it could be close. But hey, still fun to watch

Asura has reasons to be angry, broly really does not other than his father being hurt by frieza. Even then, he was throwing a child tantrum because goku cried a little to hard during his nap time as infants.

The main point of interest I always see with Asura, is that he can revive by himself without relying in the Dragon Balls, just by climbing out of hell with his own hands. Even if this takes thousands of years (or just hundreds, the second time), he can do it multiple times, and with his undying determination and rage, he could very well come back an infinite amount of times. I'm not so big a nerd of DB so I'm not sure if Broly could do the same, but assuming he couldn't, then the real answer is that Broly would need to win every single time for it to count... Asura would only need to win once, and it'd be over. Given an infinite amount of tries and an infinite scaling power growth, it'd end up happening at some point or another.
I don't think... the animators meant to break all laws of physics and just tried to make the fight interresting and cool... A human sized object with infinite speed sounds like a lot can go wrong for everyone nearby

Few things that could be added: You could use Koyama statements about the cosmology size of the afterlife itself since he says the macrocosm is 5D and the Kaioshin realm is the world above 5D. He also says Broly can destroy the macrocosm in less then a year. While it is difficult to use this for canon characters, it should be used for Broly considering he is a non-canon character. Also in regards to how strong Broly SDBH is in comparison to Beerus, Beerus energy along with the other 12 universes was being absorbed by the universe tree, Beerus himself admits he can't keep it up forever nor destroy the universe tree easily, and needed the Super dragon balls to destroy the tree later on. King Fu brought back that tree with his own power by himself no issues. That tree had Beerus powers along with the other universes also. In SDBH scaling, SDBH Broly > 2 Vegitos > LB SSJ4 Vegito => Dark King Fu > Beerus Also when dissecting some scaling for SDBH Broly, the Arcade, Manga and Anime are somewhat different Strongest SDBH Version of Broly is the arcade, second is the anime while third is the manga In Arcade, Broly in SSJ4 was already strong enough to fight 2 Vegito's at once but once Broly went LB SSj4, SSJB Vegito admits there is no way they can overpower him. Also in the arcade, LSSJ Broly alone was enough to overwhelm cumber while in the anime and manga he needed LB SSj4 for him. Arcade Broly never lost a fight ever since he got LB SSj4, even LB SSj4 Gogeta failed against him. In the manga, Broly is around LB SSj4 Fusion levels of power and not above. He rivals Vegito or Gogeta power in LB SSj4 and fought toe to toe with them twice. However LB SSj4 Gogeta was well above child Fu power and pretty much smacked him around, Fu needed to defuse him cause his power was too much. That same Gogeta needed to extend his fusion time to fight Broly.
Suppressed Z broly was honestly multi galaxy, south galaxy is 1/4th of the universe, thats hundreds of billions of galaxies. Broly is 30 in that movie, unless he was wiping out galaxies as a an infant, he has to be multi galaxy+

There are also other pieces of evidence showing us that the afterlife isn't "placed above the living World" such as another statement from Toriyama of that same interview where he states "Though gods are supposed to be *transcendent beings* , this lot have pervy interests, are fond of driving, etc… Somehow, they feel human and familiar?" another one is DBZ episode 8 where it's blatantly stated that the living world and the afterlife are seperated by time and space showing us that they're seperated realms rather than realities placed in a bellow/above relationship so all of this combined with Daizenshuu 4's statement of the afterlife transcending dimensions makes it very clear that it's not just above the living world, for the no concept of time statement it's verbatim stated in the super exciting that there's no concept of time in the afterlife which is backed up by chapter 476 where Goku states "In this world *where time is a thing* , the energy we use is too great and we're exhausted all at once..." backing up further that the afterlife lacks time which would make sense as Goku is stated to not have aged there. @@ProjektTaku Not necessarily, it mostly depends on how the realm is treated or on the context, and in this one it would'nt make sense for the afterlife to be a seperate spacetime continuum. Also the statement is pretty cut and dry so i don't really understand that interpretation. Not really it's a bit different, Goku talks about time because super saiyan 3 works best in places where time doesn't exist like the afterlife but in places like the living world where time exist it can't be used properly, also altough yes most souls in the afterlife are incorporeal spirits there is special cases with guys like Goku or Pikkon who posess their bodies, so knowing this it would'nt make sense for Goku to use that sentence in the context you mention

It's impossible by definition to traverse an infinite amount of space. Infinite speed would mean that you occupy every single point in the universe at the same time though, so that's pretty cool.
@Galamoth06 even then, applying this logic wouldn't make sense in retrospect considering that infinite space and time being traversed logically means it requires a quantifiable amount of time, so traversing it would need to have a stated finite time or Calc, otherwise the feat in itself is kinda useless. Infinite speed also doesn't suggest omnipresence either(that's not speed to begin with), but even then there are different levels of infinity(alephs) in fiction, hence why the terms multiversal exists.

I've never seen a resemblance of God of War with Asuras Wrath.
I think it’s from them both being action beat-em-ups with similar control schemes, similar protagonists (guy too angry to die, fighting gods, large part of their anger comes from a betrayal involving their wife and kid) and just overall fairy identical gameplay loops (attack enemy, get them stunned, finish with O, as well as their super bombastic and cinematic boss fights that end with quick time events)

The main point of interest I always see with Asura, is that he can revive by himself without relying in the Dragon Balls, just by climbing out of hell with his own hands. Even if this takes thousands of years (or just hundreds, the second time), he can do it multiple times, and with his undying determination and rage, he could very well come back an infinite amount of times. I'm not so big a nerd of DB so I'm not sure if Broly could do the same, but assuming he couldn't, then the real answer is that Broly would need to win every single time for it to count... Asura would only need to win once, and it'd be over. Given an infinite amount of tries and an infinite scaling power growth, it'd end up happening at some point or another.
I don't think... the animators meant to break all laws of physics and just tried to make the fight interresting and cool... A human sized object with infinite speed sounds like a lot can go wrong for everyone nearby

Few things that could be added: You could use Koyama statements about the cosmology size of the afterlife itself since he says the macrocosm is 5D and the Kaioshin realm is the world above 5D. He also says Broly can destroy the macrocosm in less then a year. While it is difficult to use this for canon characters, it should be used for Broly considering he is a non-canon character.
Also in regards to how strong Broly SDBH is in comparison to Beerus, Beerus energy along with the other 12 universes was being absorbed by the universe tree, Beerus himself admits he can't keep it up forever nor destroy the universe tree easily, and needed the Super dragon balls to destroy the tree later on. King Fu brought back that tree with his own power by himself no issues. That tree had Beerus powers along with the other universes also.
In SDBH scaling, SDBH Broly > 2 Vegitos > LB SSJ4 Vegito => Dark King Fu > Beerus
Also when dissecting some scaling for SDBH Broly, the Arcade, Manga and Anime are somewhat different
Strongest SDBH Version of Broly is the arcade, second is the anime while third is the manga
In Arcade, Broly in SSJ4 was already strong enough to fight 2 Vegito's at once but once Broly went LB SSj4, SSJB Vegito admits there is no way they can overpower him. Also in the arcade, LSSJ Broly alone was enough to overwhelm cumber while in the anime and manga he needed LB SSj4 for him. Arcade Broly never lost a fight ever since he got LB SSj4, even LB SSj4 Gogeta failed against him.
In the manga, Broly is around LB SSj4 Fusion levels of power and not above. He rivals Vegito or Gogeta power in LB SSj4 and fought toe to toe with them twice. However LB SSj4 Gogeta was well above child Fu power and pretty much smacked him around, Fu needed to defuse him cause his power was too much. That same Gogeta needed to extend his fusion time to fight Broly.
When Broly rinses Omniking he can come back and try again.
