- Could Godzilla Stop Omni-Man? With the second season of Invincible ending recently and Godzilla's new powerup being revealed in the Godzilla X Kong: The New Empire film. I thought that to celebrate this milestone for both franchises, I would pit up the iconic radioactive lizard against the mustached planetary-conqueror, Omni-Man. So, what if Godzilla sensed that there was a huge threat to the balance of the Earth? Could he hold his own against the Viltrumite royalty, or would he fall just like countless heroes did to the Viltrumite invasion in so many other timelines? Find out the answer to this and much more as I go over feats, statements, scaling, and the like to determine who would win between these two insane powerhouses! This video includes spoilers for the new Godzilla film, the Monarch series, and the Invincible series, so be warned!

Who you guys got? Big lizard or mustached superfacist?
Some of you had interesting comments regarding other win conditions for both characters. Godzilla could potentially damage or disorient Omni-Man with his nuclear pulse and Omni-Man could definitely throw Godzilla into space.
Also, regarding the Superman that Godzilla beat, according to the author, that Superman is as strong as the main Rebirth one. It's not unreasonable for alternate heroes being comparable to each other in power as we have seen in Countdown Arena for example. Post Crisis Superman has matched Golden Age Superman who has gone up against Silver Age Superman as well.

Normally, I would go with feats alone instead of statements, but I wouldn't see any reason as to why Monarch would just give false statements if they don't even know the potential power of Godzilla. Plus, they've been studying him and the other titans thoroughly for many years.

@nuke7777 radiation kills literally every living that is a cell based organism. The kaiju of the monsterverse are immune and are instead nourished and strengthened by it, because that's the reasoning that they exist to begin with.
Viltrumites are no exception to radiation however. Also, superman scales way higher than any viltrumite, and he got 1 shot by godzillas atomic breath due to the radiation primarily. The radiation would kill any viltrumite. Fighting next to a sun is nothing compared to a direct radiation blast from godzilla.

Godzillas Nuclear Pulse is honestly what would KO Omniman. You left that ability out completely. Omniman would get cooked almost instantly due to all that energy goimg through his body.

@dragotomahawk5889 if we are using statements, like the video stated, Godzilla is super nova level of radiation. And that would be going through omnimans body. It's also and electrical radiation blast. We have seen both Mark and Omniman get affected by that type of move. Godzilla is at minimum a star level in terms of radiation. So that pulse should do enough damage to severly slow Omniman down. Then Godzilla would just 1 tap him. Godzilla has millions of years of experience, this video also forgot to mention that. All the video said about Godzillas experience was he fought less variety of enemies which is a massive downplay since we don't know what happened in those millions of years. Godzilla has a crazy IQ. Godzilla wins this. Omniman basically lost to a kaiju that is way smaller, weaker and less potent than godzilla in the first season and the comics. He also is very cocky and would most likely think he doesn't have to block the Gmans attack. Omniman in character, which is a flaw not mentioned, is something that would get the better of him. Unless he is bloodlusted from the get go, he is toast

The writer themselves stated within the comics and out that viltrumites Speed is Nerfed significantly within Earth's and any other planets atmosphere.
The only way they reach faster than light speeds is when flying in space because there's no atmosphere gases or gravity to slow them down or limit them.
In space they can keep accelerating limitlessly and they keep their momentum forever even if they stop propelling themselves forwards. The only way they slow down or stop in space is them blatantly flying in the opposite direction to stop themselves. Or willing themselves to stop.
This doesn't scale to their combat speed in the slightest. And even if it did it's proven they can only move like that in space.
On earth I'd say they can move at about Relativistic+ to FTL speeds.
Since they never show any faster than light feats on earth or other planets.
Yeah. Even if they literally die and stop propelling themselves thereafter, space has no air resistance, so the only things that can stop their momentum are forces greater than it, but any collision would have a permanent influence.
Honestly if I feel like an interesting matchup would be Godzilla against the viltrimites. Could literally use any incarnation for that. MV, final wars, pipeworks, Godzilla in hell, or rulers of earth would be perfect.

No one is arguing that Omni-man is slow. However the fact is his combat speed just isn't as fast as his travel speed. It's still incredibly impressive, *but* it's not nearly as impressive as him flying. And him(or other viltrimites) intercepting space ships does NOT scale his combat speed up to his movement.

If I recall correctly, Godzilla, per his crossover contracts, is straight up required to win. This itself could create a huge inconsistency between power levels relative to Godzilla's original timeline and his forms in others - case in point, DC Comics. But yes, Godzilla isn't exactly experienced in fighting the "tiny but mighty" type, it's more of a Metal Gear EXCELSUS vs Raiden situation, Godzilla being EXCELSUS, Nolan being Raiden; the point is, a big, but absurdly durable, inexhaustible, and far stronger opponent vs a much more agile, experienced, and intelligent fighter.
Generally, I think Godzilla is too large to effectively react to Nolan's gargantuan speed advantage, but Nolan's too small to make a dent in the G-Man with even a solid hit. I can't decide which one would win, but in either one's W, it HAS to be Extreme Difficulty here. Nolan's stamina is probably lesser, but by god I'll be damned if he doesn't drain it with his insurmountable speed combined with his Battle IQ. However, Godzilla definitely has durability and strength over him.
Anyway, Omni-Man has fought giant monsters the size of islands before. Godzilla hasn't fought humanoids like Omni-Man before; for Godzilla, it'd be like trying to swat a fly that's strong enough to actually hurt you with a punch, and too fast for you to react (the latter one is just... Any fly, to be honest). But for Nolan? It'd just be a normal Tuesday... Initially, anyway.
Godzilla has the ability for this type of fight, such as his atomic pulse and heat release.

About human weapons making Godzilla show signs of pain/discomfort when hitting his gills or dorsal.
Way I look at it. If a bunch of gnats threw microscopic fire crackers into your eyes. Even if the damage is essentially nonexistent, it’s not gonna feel good.
And I think it’s fair to say every time we’ve seen human’s “hurt” him, with the exception of the O2 Destroyer, he always just seemed pissed off. The battleships in the first film he just kinda got annoyed and broke the bridge down. Every time with jets he just basically lets out a “you little shits!”. And gave them a nasty look (before well, killing them)

@@Chuck true. But the winning factor was defined by Godzilla's atomic breath having properties similar to that of kryptonite radiation. Superman probably wasn't going all out in that fight, but he still recognized Godzilla as "strong", which on it's own is impressive, but not enough to 100% define if both Godzilla and Superman are comparable in power.

14:09 I wouldn’t use the title cards from GvK as a source, they state that Godzilla weighs 164,000 tons despite being the exact same size as he was in KOTM. That was confirmed as an error by Wingard. I think they just added those to make the title card look interesting, not as definitive information about either monster.

I’d like to push a bit less known info, Godzilla’s nuclear pulse which is a heat based attack, wouldn’t one shot Nolan like you all think. Mark and thragg only got heavily injured in the sun due to to prolonged exposure to that heat.
Omni man in a crossover fight with Supreme tanked his heat vision multiple times which is said to far exceed the heat of the sun.
Viltrumites are not weak to bursts of intense heat, radiation or loud sounds. They’re weak to prolonged exposure to extreme heats exceeding minutes or potentially hours depending on how long you want to scale mark and thragg a fight. And they’re weak to a specific sound, a specific frequency. That literally only Cecil and Robot know. It’s why only the two of them have crippled mark that way.

Hey Chuck, just curious. I’ve noticed you state in a couple of videos and have read other people mentioning it in random forums but where are you getting the time for the Godzilla vs Kong fight. You mention about half a day and I was curious if this is stated somewhere. I know when the fight starts its dark in Hong Kong and when Godzilla is walking towards the mountain when and where Mechagodzilla comes out it’s morning but is there more of a concrete time stated for the duration of their fight?

For reference godzillas roar can be heard apparently from the KOTM novel from across the planet, So generally he would absolutely deafen Omni man if he was anywhere near him

11:27 Hm well see, most people have calculated the average speed of Godzilla's radioactive beam is around 1000-2000 meters per second. That's fast enough to qualify as hypersonic velocity. It goes on to explain that as the highly energetic Cherenkov radiation is emitted within the breath beam, the speed of light in a vacuum is actually the minimum velocity of each photon. But then when the radiation passes through different mediums, like air or water, its effective speed increases due to the refractive properties. So while Godzilla's breath jet streams along hypersonically, the radiation waves charged with radioactive particles coursing through it would be keeping pace with light speed the whole way in air. And if he ever blasted his beam underwater instead, the Cherenkov radiation could potentially accelerate to superluminal velocities locally because of the water's higher refractive index. Aiming a beam that can vaporize whole buildings over large distances in split seconds must take incredible coordination. So the other Titans have to be hyper aware, reading Godzilla better than any defense. One slight misjudgment and it's game over, regarding Kong or the Skar King, I don't think they're actually faster than the beam itself. That would be nearly impossible what with how close to light speed the radiation is moving. My guess is they're not so much dodging as they are aim dodging. What I mean is, they watch Godzilla carefully and try to predict where he's about to unleash the blast from based on subtle body language cues, Then they'll dove or jump just before, relying on changing their position rather than outright speed. Keep it at a scenario where a man who can only move at 10 miles per hour was able to "dodge" a hypersonic bullet, this is the same thing where he didn't really dodged it but just predicted it. So yeah that's it, his atomic breath is too overpowered to be dealt with unless you're King Ghidorah.

I guess two other things to consider with Godzilla is his regeneration and his pulse ability. His quick regeneration may allow him to not be whittled down by omnimans speed as previous wounds inflicted will be closed by the time he hits the same area again. Also, the pulse godzilla can emit could maybe one shot omniman if its the same kind of energy as his breath, even if its a weaker concentration.

I’ve seen Gigan getting up to 640+ mil the SoL, and Destoroyah being more powerful would put him at least at the same level likely higher so I’m just curious because like I said, haven’t watched DBZ in a while. This is just speculative but...
The way to really hurt Viltrumites is to hit them with multiple different types of powerful damage channels at once to stress out their smart atoms. Surprise attacks also seem to be disproportionately effective, giving their smart atoms less time to react (Omni Man gets his back broken by a single hit when taken by surprise).

Here's an idea, can you do a video if the Scarlet King from the SCP Foundation could solo every character in the Nasuverse (the Fate series)?
One thing people tend to overlook in battles between Godzilla and human sized opponents is Surface area.
A being that could lift even just godzilla (so just 120,000 tons tops) would hit with Piercing strikes when you compress that force to the size of a human fist and slam it into a being the size of a building.
Omniman, superman, and most other beings of that nature would be like a bullet when fighting such large opponents.
So what you're doing here is using real life science for fictional characters. Because of that was the case Godzilla would automatically be stronger than anyone smaller than him. But it's not the case.
These fictional characters won't be abiding rules of real life science. They would scale from feats only. And scale by their durability as well. So yeah Godzilla being far stronger and durable would defeat Omni man easy.
@@ragedtrunks I respectfully disagree. Physics exist in both worlds, and using the “fictional character” argument is a weak argument at best, and willfully obstinate at worst.
Based on feats, omniman flew through a planet, another weaker viltrumite flew through a kaiju, and the ground shaking when Godzilla moves is evidence that he is still bound by physics.
Ignoring math, science, and calculations defeats the entire purpose of the power scaling community as a whole. Its more than just feats. You dont have to like it but my opinion stands. If you lean your body weight against a wall you dont have an issue, you lean your body weight against a pencil and you may wind up with a hole in you. Simple fact.
Besides that we collide atoms at near lightspeed to rupture them and study the effects, omniman being able to fly at faster than light speeds means his collision’s could literally split Godzilla’s atoms and we have seen Nolan use that to wipe out an entire species before.

Let's say a human is really small compared to a mountain. And I make a human fly at hypersonic speed towards a mountain. And now what human is supposed to go through the mountain.
No it won't. When I say these character scale from feats means that only when Omni man has shown stronger feat can we we say that he would be able to go through Godzilla. But Godzilla clearly has an edge in power and a big edge too.
Moreover. The feat of viltrumites going through a planet isn't even a feat. It was shot by a gun to make corr of planet weaker. And it said multiple times that they would have died if it wasn't weakened. And that means they won't scale to even planetary.
And the other argument of viltrumites killing Kaiju doesn't matter. What feats does those Kaiju have? How do you know whether they are even close to Godzilla?
Meaning it's gonna be the same. If Omni man flew at high speed towards Godzilla. It's gonna be same as human thrown to mountain with a hyper sonic speed.
Omni man will shatter in that scenario.
Godzilla wins this one easily especially if you take novels and lore.

The logic you used of light speed doesn't make much things good for omni man my guy. Coz Godzilla beam is cherenekov radiation and kong acts to in in a fight meaning kaijus in MV can react to light speeds and are faster than light in Battle reaction and stuff. And Omni man isn't that fast that it can generate much of the stuff.
Also his durability isn't that much strong either lol. He was gonna die from a weakened planet core. So yeah he's weak. I m sorry lol.

Highest omniman feat required three viltrumites going through a weakened planet core. Which I am not gonna lie is weak compared to MV goji. Who is mentioned to be more stronger than hollow earth energy itself. He easily goes to large planetary level in both attack potency and durability.
