Guys my bad🤦🏾♂️ I completely forgot about a couple characters so I got y'all🔥🔥 Aquaman Vs. Namor. Aquaman is a ripoff (or knockoff) of namor, but he is also more popular to the general consensus, and that's because Aquaman is more of a traditional hero than Namor is. Which means he's a little more marketable, especially back when they were first created. When it comes to their placement, their impact on popular culture was big, but it's largely because they were made fun of as being the weakest members of they're teams (or at least Aquaman was) especially whenever I was growing up. So I would rank them as number 5, ( black cat vs Catwoman would be after them, so on and so forth) Bc Even though Namor and especially Aquaman as characters both represent way more than just being the subject of bullying lol, the general consensus doesn't really care that much about water based heroes as they do other characters, which is why they have this placement. I would choose Aquaman between them two because I just like him better, I like his personality more than Namors tbh, but I'll admit I do think Namor looks cooler lol. Dr strange vs Dr. Fate would be in the honorable mentions and I would choose Dr fate over strange. Dr Strange debut after Fate and is said to be inspired by him
Aquaman was "a little more marketable, especially when they were first created" ? Aquaman was a back-up character who didn't get his own comic until late 1961. Namor was one of Timely's "big three", carrying his own title and appearing in other comics. Yes, Aquaman started appearing in cartoons and has become more popular and well known, but not when they first appeared.

Also the Eternals(which Thanos is) is also a copied of the New Gods. Even the Eternals have Old Gods’ names. But that can be in a way explained. Darkseid is created by iconic Marvel legend Jack Kirby later Marvel adapted his character. Also currently both character is so far off to be called copy.
@@House.Of.Pain. Jack Kirby also created the Eternals (in 1976, when he came back to Marvel after creating the New Gods for DC in 1971). The New Gods itself was almost a direct continuation of ideas that Jack had while doing his Ragnarok storyline in "Tales of Asgard" backstory in the Thor run of "Journey into Mystery" (mid to late 1960's?). The first page of "Orion of the New Gods" is basically the same image as shown in the finale of "Tales of Asgard" (I've heard, but haven't seen myself yet). It's not really "Marvel copied DC" or vice versa, it's just Jack simply wanted to continue exploring his mashups of mythology and science fiction that he started with Thor and Asgard. He didn't really care who published it. The only real concessions he made to the publisher was the names of the characters and places. Later on, Marvel took Jim Starlin's earlier Titanians (e.g. Thanos, Mentor, and Moondragon [1973]) and Stan Lee's even earlier Uranians (e.g. the technology behind Marvel Boy [1950] who became the Crusader and later the bands were given to Quasar) and retconned them into being part of Jack's Eternals.
@@House.Of.Pain. I’ve said that before. Darkseid can’t be the original because all of the new gods are copies of asgardians Thor’s gallery. They were literally intended to be the asgardians after ragnorok. So all the new gods are clones/copies.

People would remember iconic relationship of batman and catwoman where there are constant flirt and chase that makes it intriguing which they eventually have daughter who became huntress. Black cat romance relationship with Spiderman isn't consistent and tend to be forgettable.
Fellow comic book fans, you all don't need to fight. These characters are created to bring people together. Why choose one side when you can enjoy so much more?
7:27 I'm sorry, but the man but Wolverine was called Ron Wolf literally because he only likes to work by himself.Cause he doesn't like risking other people.Getting attached to him or getting hurt around him 😂
Hey. More info… The artist who modified the look of Timber Wolf for DC later went on to work on Marvel’s X-Men, where he modified the look of Wolverine and designed his civilian look. So in a way, he ripped off himself. Also, The X-Men aren’t a rip off of The Doom Patrol. The Doom Patrol first published in June 1963, and X-Men first published in September 1963, just 3 months later. At the time it took about 6 months to create, write, draw, then publish a comic. So there’s no way Marvel could have ripped off a comic in 3 months. At best, it was just a coincidence. Still, yes, Wolverine and X-Men are more popular.
6:01 I'd like to discuss Miss Fury, another cat-themed femme fatale who actually fought on the side of good as a heroine. She debuted one year after Selina Kyle, but her costume bears a striking resemblance to what would become the standard look for Catwoman. There was another black cat in 1941 she was also a heroine and made an cameo in league of extraordinary gentlemen both fury and original black cat are in the public domain for anyone to use
I d also like to mention the original Daredevil, who first appeared in 1940. His original publisher was Lev Gleason. He has been revived multiple times, including in projects such as 'Project Superpowers', 'Savage Dragon', and even made a cameo appearance in a Marvel comic.
X-Men is 100% not clear-cut about Good and evil, cuz Professor Xavier once the humans in mutants to work together to stop all the fighting, while Magneto want to do to the humans the same thing they're doing to the mutants. And you cannot say with 100% certainty that what Magneto wants is evil, because there's a such thing as eye for an eye, and he didn't start the war he's just trying to finish it
11:04 at first I thought this was a Mandela Effect, I'm like "hold up when did he say no power". And then I heard the rest of the quote, and was like "oh okay" 🤣😂🤣😂🤣
@brianclark3062 It may have had something to do with the fact that 'Quicksilver'' was not Marvel's first attempt at replicating DC's ''The Flash''. ''The Whizzer'' (Robert Frank) first appeared in (USA Comics) #1 Aug. 1941. More then a year after The Golden Age ''Flash'' (Jay Garrick).
Most of these aren't rip offs. People use that term way too often. Having similarities is not the same as being a rip off. Even the ines that were aren't anymore and haven't been for a long time Also the Spider-Man and Batman argument is absurd lol. Loved ones dying and rogues galleries is just super hero comics in general
This goes way deeper than Marvel vs DC. Even DC's first 1939 comic characters of Superman and Batman were inspired by, if not blatant copies of, other popular characters of the time. Though no direct admission of it is documented from Siegel or Shuster, it's pretty much accepted by comic historians that the 1930 novel "Gladiator" by Philip Wylie is a direct inspiration for Superman. Batman was similarly inspired by "The Shadow" from his first 1930 radio drama appearance and later magazine and book stories starting in 1931. Both Superman and Batman also take some elements of "Doc Savage, Man of Bronze" starting in 1933. Superman updating the nickname to "Man of Steel" while taking Doc's first name "Clark" ("Clark Savage Jr.") for his alter identity. Batman takes the idea of a man who is skilled, if not the best, at almost every human endeavor. Interestingly, The Shadow's secret identity was "Kent Allard" in the printed stories also possibly connecting him to Superman's secret identity name.
Fun fact: Deadpool wasn’t originally a ripoff of Deathstroke, they started coming up with the idea for him before Deathstroke’s first appearance came out. But once Deathstroke appeared in a comic, they noticed the similarities and decided to play into it, going so far as to name Deadpool Wade Wilson, because Deathstroke is named Slade Wilson.
Yeah you need to read The Terrifics because Plastic Man is the goat, he's the most OP character that ever existed. Scarlet Witch would have never did him the same way she did Mr Fantastic
Anybody else have a fun headcanon where the copy of one character is just a variant in another universe, given how similar these can get, I like the concept of variants being used here.
I can believe you just one Black Spider like that in the first 15 seconds 😭 he’s dope af, he’s an Anti-Spider-Man and he’s especially dope in Young Justice cuz he was voiced by Spectacular Spidey. It’s apart of a larger plot from Multiversity, about traversing the multiverse, it’s a joke that keeps being retold between companies, and one that marvel has done before as well with Squadron Supreme.
Small nitpick here, but at 7:39 you put the "Original" over Wolverine despite the fact that the segment was talking about how he was the inspired "knock-off"
I love how they didn’t bring up deadshot tho when talking about Deadpool and deathstroke considering deadshot came first then they made deathstroke then Deadpool
I still consider Nighthawk to be the definitive Marvel Batman. If you've read the 1985 Squadron Supreme mini-series, you'll know that it was essentially Injustice before Injustice Nighthawk's actions in that series are precisely what Bruce Wayne would do in injustice
@strongman5243 The entire Squadron Sinister/Supreme were intentionally created as a pastiche of DC's (Justice League of America). DC's ''Champions of Angor'' were created in the same way as a pastiche of (Marvel's Avengers). Do to the fact that at the time a DC/Marvel crossover seemed very unrealistic. So The 'Squadron Supreme'' and ''The Champions of Angor'', were basically the next best thing. Oh, and also! It would have been cool if Marvel had acquired the rights to the Golden Age Silver Streak comics "Daredevil" Bart Hill.

Whoa whoa. They both are great.
Bros dc final boss💀
Yeah both are great and have great ASSets.
Just because some characters have similar powers doesn't make someone a copy.
Said she hulk
@@RobertWilkinsonJKekMaloy I.. she got her powers from BRUCE BANNER via a blood transfusion because there as an assassination attempt on her.
She's the She-Hulk because of the Hulk. She is meant to be a copy-esque character.
Which doesn't matter since given the context of the original comment, he very clearly means between DC and Marvel Comics
@ which should have already clued you in.
@ and stan even said “We created she hulk because we didn’t want DC to take her because we did Wonder Man.”
@@RobertWilkinsonJKekMaloy Can you send some proof for that quote?
It's pretty widely acknowledged that they made She-Hulk because of the popularity of Lou Ferringo's 'The Incredible Hulk'(1977)
Yeah as. soon as you claimed DD and Spiderman were Batman you lost me. MANY heroes have tragic backstories involving the liss of a loved one. Hell Pumisher fits this better than Soiderman.
And having a memorable rogues gallery doesnt make the characters similar. Flash has a memorable band of enemies as well.
Lame comparrisons man, you were really reaching here.
Btw they made Black Spider in Young Justice like Spiderman because his creator, Greg Weisman is also the creator of Spectacular Spiderman
I thing they got some special va too
I personally think Marvel copied a lot more than DC did. It’s basically DC but for kids
Im sorry to tell you but Black Cat cheated on Spidey too. She, Spidey and Dare Devil were ones on a Mission together. Like always she flirted with Spidey but then on the end of the day when the group split she told Spidey she had something to do and couldnt spent the evening with him. Spidey, worried she might caught up in trouble again, followed her and saw from afar that she followed Dare Devil to sleep with him. Spidey comment to this :"Ah, so thats my Supervillian origin story...".
It’s definitely obvious that marvel was inspired a lot by DC im hopeful James Gunn can restore what made these DC characters iconic
A lot happened and vice versa in the same way
@@Miss_Heed_Lover Yeah but Marvel gets more of the spotlight cause DC keeps messing up in the cinematic universe. However dc is really good in animation.
Anyways, all I wish for is lego to give more attention to DC as I want a lego Dr Fate minifigure to be made so badly
A lot of DC's characters are complete jokes
@ It's interesting. I believe Samuel L. Jackson once said Marvel has the better heroes whilst DC has the better villains. I tend to agree.
I have to disagree about catwoman vs black cat. People would remember iconic relationship of batman and catwoman where there are constant flirt and chase that makes it intriguing which they eventually have daughter who became huntress. Black cat romance relationship with Spiderman isn't consistent and tend to be forgettable.
I completely agree with you on that front🔥 That's a great take because people (including me) often forget about huntress
Some ripoffs are so good, we just think of them as variants for each company.
Spider-Man has a strict 'no killing' rule...unless you piss him off
Instant respect for using footage from the 1966 Marvel Super Heroes cartoons
Fellow comic book fans, you all don't need to fight. These characters are created to bring people together. Why choose one side when you can enjoy so much more?
Tomorrow-verse Timber Wolf looking exactly like Wolverine was also ridiculous
3:59 - the Flash became the God of death which is ironic because Barry is afraid of death since he lost his mom
What's up bro I hope your doing well😁
7:27 I'm sorry, but the man but Wolverine was called Ron Wolf literally because he only likes to work by himself.Cause he doesn't like risking other people.Getting attached to him or getting hurt around him 😂
Hey. More info…
The artist who modified the look of Timber Wolf for DC later went on to work on Marvel’s X-Men,
where he modified the look of Wolverine and designed his civilian look.
How did he not mention The Flash and Quick Sliver
Because flash would have won easily.
This is exactly why👌🏾👌🏾
So on Imperiex he was actually doing this because he was trying to fix an imperfection he found in the universe
You need more subscribers these videos are made with passion, keep on keeping on
I will, thank you for that fr🔥💪🏾
I‘m not subbing to this Marvel D rider
How can you chose Deadpool over Deathstroke? Like what...?
I feel like that’s a fine take. They are both so different. If someone prefers the comedic version than obviously they are gonna like Deadpool more
Most of these aren't rip offs. People use that term way too often. Having similarities is not the same as being a rip off. Even the ines that were aren't anymore and haven't been for a long time
Also the Spider-Man and Batman argument is absurd lol.
Dam marvel copied majority
But their characters even the ripoffs are mostly better.
@ but mostly weaker
@Ishowpounds DC thinks they can make corny characters better by making them stronger.
Timberwolf is stronger than Wolverine. Almost like sabertooth on steroids.
No He Isn’t
@gregtheradical yes he is
@@gregtheradicalyes he is kid
No.
@Thewilderery-q6e yes
If you actually debate black cat and catwoman something’s wrong with you catwoman is so much better and black cats just a cheesy rip off
That doom patrol show was weird and good lol
Your takes makes you so roastable ong 💀
Nice video I just ran across this and it's awesome
Yeah you need to read The Terrifics because Plastic Man is the goat, he's the most OP character that ever existed. Scarlet Witch would have never did him the same way she did Mr Fantastic
You know what's funny. _😂😂_
Deadpool is a copy of Deathstroke that was later copied by DC to make "Red Tool". Red Tool is literally a copy of a copy
Daredevil, moonknight and Spiderman are the closest to batman, but Nighthawk is an absolute copy and he is not being mentioned.
The original copy of Thanos is Mongul
Mongul is a Darkseid copy, just like Shazam is one of Superman
@@Miss_Heed_LoverShazam is completely different than Superman
@@IAmYourDoom No, he took inspiration from Superman
@@Miss_Heed_Lover Jim Starlin, who created Thanos and Mongul, has himself stated that Mongul is a copy of Thanos.
@Miss_Heed_Lover But they are barely similar. The only similarities in power that I can think of are flight and super strength
Anybody else have a fun headcanon where the copy of one character is just a variant in another universe, given how similar these can get, I like the concept of variants being used here.
Thanos is dangerously insane while Darkseid is terrifyingly sane.
I can believe you just one Black Spider like that in the first 15 seconds 😭 he’s dope af, he’s an Anti-Spider-Man and he’s especially dope in Young Justice cuz he was voiced by Spectacular Spidey. He’s a recovered methhead and even served as a member of the League of Assassins/Shadows. He’s almost like Dr. Strange meets Spidey but on the wrong side of history. I think he’s cool asl
Other copycats are Mongul who's basically DCs copy of Thanos. And there's Uranus who is Marvels recent copy of Darkseid.
Nah, I am giving Nightwing the pass with the catwoman thing, especially since Bruce got a bit too excited with batgirl
Bro shows a pic of Nighthawk but didn't include him with that Batman comparison.
Edit: when that Batman video drops I'll be keeping an eye out
Dude no way you will top Black cat over cat woman!!! That explains everything about you.
Ill be honest. No one was inspired by Batman. That one was a major stretch
Cashier: That's 1 peanut butter banana Gaia sandwich forrrrr.....can I get your name, sir?
Galactus: G A L A C T U S !
😂😂
11:23 silvers theme song in the background is so random lmao😂
Green Lantern Corps vs Nova Corps
Green Lantern Corps
Green Lantern Vs Nova
Nova
I prefer Nova(Richard Rider) by a LOT, but i know that Green Lantern is MUCH more popular.
But which gl are we talking about tho?
@@LumaSloth Nova(Richard Rider in particular) against any GL would win, if only for the energy absorption. But the GL Corps would win by sheer numbers.
The Black Racer is less a rip off of the Silver Surfer and more a recycling, since they were both created by Jack Kirby.
i spent the whole video waiting for aquaman vs namor. I enjoyed every minute anyways
Honestly yeah my fault I completely forgot about them😭🤦🏾♂️ I'm glad you enjoyed the video!
One example of why competition is a good thing for everyone involved.
Jack Kirby created Darkseid and Thanos. He ripped himself off.
Tararus isn’t a rip off, he is an intentional pastiche for Thanos, as is all of the characters from that universe. It’s apart of a larger plot from Multiversity, about traversing the multiverse, it’s a joke that keeps being retold between companies, and one that marvel has done before as well with Squadron Supreme.
This was interesting to get to know the many ripoffs there have been from both sides, but the "who's better?" thing was pretty bad.
Tell me your marvel bias without telling me your marvel bias
Small nitpick here, but at 7:39 you put the "Original" over Wolverine despite the fact that the segment was talking about how he was the inspired "knock-off"
Oh, yeah that's most likely my mistake, thank you for pointing that out💪🏾
I love how they didn’t bring up deadshot tho when talking about Deadpool and deathstroke considering deadshot came first then they made deathstroke then Deadpool
What about dr fate and dr strange
Did doctor fate belong to a society of doctor fates?
Fate is better
7:34 Bro... my goodness, the change in design😂😂😂
It's a shame that the dune patrol won't be in the new dcu.
Neat video but the marvel bias here is very strong as you hardly mentioned DC ripoffs which are the majority in terms of the two.
(Just sayin) Not the DC fans dissing this dude’s OPINION. 💀💀
But yeah some of the chosen characters were questionable.
9:40 - no wonder he's called the Mad Titan
Bias. Dead pool is annoying as shit.
What about Antman Vs Atom?
fun video bro, keep making like these :)
14:08 the X-men where not inspired in any way by the lgbtq community. Stop trying to rewrite history.
Teen titans have similarity with X men now
*nightwing x cyclops
*Raven x mystique(raven)
*Beastboy x beast
A team only for mutants/A team for teens
*OG titans making Titans academy to train young super power (having a uniform just like x men)
*Deathstroke x Deadpool
*The titans also did a 4 horseman story (i belive it was in future state
Raven is much more similar to Dark Phoenix especially in the Future state Comics. And in the cross over comic between the Titans and X-Men Dark Phoenix said Raven and her powers where so similar to hers that they could be sisters
Batman= Ironman
I wouldn't say guardian is a ripoff of captain america because both of them are not patriotic
Ah ok I see, I've seen everywhere that he was, I'll do more research on that bc eventually I'm gonna make a captain American knockoff video👌🏾
@@ItsNostalgiaTime commander steel or citizen steel commander star agent liberty and general glory are captain america knock offs
@@eliteghost1001Captain America was predated by a MLJ/Archie hero named "The Shield". Who has the distinction of being the first superhero with a costume based upon (United States patriotic iconography). The original Shield who first appeared in Shield-Wizard Comics #1 (Summer 1940)...Was a Chemist named Joe Higgins who concocted a solution. That requires applying the chemicals to certain parts of his anatomy (Sacrum, Heart, Innervation, Eyes, Lungs, Derma). And when exposing himself to x-rays gives him powers such as (super strength, the ability able to make great leaps, and invulnerability).
7:56 love the UA2 gameplay
Not mentioning Namor and Aquaman is pure insanity
The irony that the first one isnt a ripoff but a joke pointed at marvel for ripping off darksied with thanos which is why they had darksied snap his neck to imply superiority over thanos in the marvel comics 😂😂
I really loved the video even tho my lost would have been different. But if you want a word of advice from someone with no experience making or editing videos, maybe state that these picks are subjective and their just your personal favorites. 8:36 you forgot to mention that both their last name is Wilson
Slade Wilson and Wade Wilson
Great content
You forgot the Vision vs the original Red Tornado with the knock off being better.
You ever wonder if Agent Venom and Blue Beetle are like OG versus knock off? Or at least they are very similar. They both use guns/blasters, have a symbiotic parasite connected to them, and have a government relation. Idk man I just thought (By the way I mean Jamie rather than Dan)
Punisher is closer to batman imo, thomas wayne batman even looks like Punisher in a bat suit. Punisher kills of course 😂
They're nothing similar. Thomas version? Maybe.
@LumaSloth very similar. Frank is also similar to Bruce, only difference is frank kills and Bruce doesn't.
Yummers, time to eat what papa has cooked
