Don't believe what the internet tells you bucko, atheism was worse than what Christianity ever did. @@HellStr82 Id say that the person’s religion is what they make it. You can’t disown/deny some other man’s faith. As a Christian man myself, I of course believe that their is a higher power. And that higher power is assisting me every step of the way regardless on if it’s appealing to you or not. I see the religious as people who place their hope in something to either better themselves or to heal past trauma. Regardless on what people believe or not, we all believe in different things and it’s up to the believers to dictate if this being is improving us or not. It’s not YOUR job to determine if my God /Jesus is real or not. It’s just like telling a married couple that their relationship doesn’t exist. They’d look at you crazy and ignore you because in their eyes, they’ve been faithful to one another since forever. And when a random person tells them that their relationship is nonexistent. That’ll tell something about you.

There is something beautifull about seeing a simple old man acting so simple and so grateefull with more than 100 years old besides being a true warrior . This is a kind of true super hero that we can find in real life. An old Lion living in his savana , living what it remains of that respectable life after being a great warrior.
Its these kind of people that we should listen to.
    Great respect to this Sir.

"I may give out but I never give up" that line hit home hard for me.
I gave up on myself for a long time and at one point was looking up at rock bottom. In the end I realised the old saying "giving up is not a option" was completely false.
Giving up is the most abundant option in all situations and there are countless reasons to give up. You need to find just 1 reason not to give up and keep going until you give out.

Much wisdom told by this simple, but great man. I had a family member that was a WWII vet, fought in Italy and then France and Germany. This man reminded me so much of him. Never complained, never bragged and rarely ever talked about his time in the war. Interestingly, when I asked him how he dealt with the fear of being KIA, he said basically the same thing as this man. There was always a bullet with your name on it and it was fired, it would find you.... thankfully, that bullet never found him. I think that may be why vets are so unassuming, they understand mortality better than most of us.

One really important point he makes - he never says he wants or wanted anything, he only has the things he needs. He's happy with that, and doesn't want anything fancy or expensive. As long as we have what we actually NEED we can be happy - all the trinkets and gadgets we think we "need" are actually just things we WANT. They are not actually needed.
