I run a surplus store. There was a severely autistic guy in his 20s who would come in every couple weeks, with a social worker. And every week it was a different story, one week he's killed a North Korean general, the next it was he had beef with Israeli Mosssad because he married someone's daughter. I think it was a coping mechanism for him. I never actively questioned it because I knew about his condition, but man did I have to hold back laughter. One time his social worker even had to step in because a veteran customer was getting a little heated and we had to explain.
I genuinely felt sorry for that first guy, he obviously wasn’t all there. The “different kind of seal” was actually legit. I think I saw him on the beach balancing a ball on his nose for a fish dinner.

Same here, my grandfather was EOD in Nam and the story he told me was accidentally killing a boy he thought was Charlie on a night recon mission in a creek/river and that was only towards the end of his life!
The guy in the Navy Senior Officer's cap with all the brass reminds me of a guy that used to hang around our police station. He was not quite all there either. @@richardbradshaw7067 the 'special needs' guys deserve a bit of space. They just have little concept of reality. It's the smart, well groomed in shape types that deserve to be exposed.

I assume you're talking about the US civil war. I have a similar problem, only I fought under Oliver Cromwell in the English civil war, in fact I executed King Charles personally.
I genuinely feel bad for these people, that they feel like their life is so meaningless that they craft these lies to get validation from strangers. Super sad.
It is sad, but this is the wrong way to go about it. Wear a suit and tell folks you're in the FBI. The FBI is about as useless. Nowadays they seem to be more into politics than federal law enforcement.
Worst part is you can just join the military. Even if you’re not in great shape or have no self-confidence. They’ll get you to there at least I’ve know plenty of people that joined who fall under that category
I served in the Navy and knew a few Seal team members. I never operated with them other than to get them close on occasion, to their area of operation. I held great respect for these men and can not stand these fake seals. I once at a reunion made a comment to one of them about how I felt, and honored to have gotten a chance to say I knew a few. He turned to me and told me it was a pleasure to have served with me. I was confused till he told more than once our crew were their heroes. He explained that after completing a mission, it still was a relief to see us there ready to pick them up. Made this old regular Navy guy feel good.
@@bb-us4ew Retired Marine here. A "soup sandwich" almost always refers to how a service member wears their uniform. A "SS" is in a uniform that is probably ill-fitting, for starters, wrinkled, maybe soiled, a belt too long/short, dirty / missing / out of order ribbon bar, needs a haircut and for males, needs a shave. Oh yea, an "SS" is probably overweight. A "soup sandwich" is a mess; an embarrassment to the Service.
I really appreciate how you show some compassion for these poor souls. They are train wrecks and you, at times, take a good hearted approach, and can chuckle. You don’t beat them up like some stolen valor videos which is cool.
9:37 actually driving a submarine is a hell of a lot like flying a plane. The control surfaces are very similar. Which is why you get that line in the hunt for October. “Give me a stopwatch and a chart and I’ll fly the Alps in a plane with no windows.”
@@psmith9789 meh. I’m sure real vets can take care of themselves. People are disrespected every day not just vets most of which never saw combat or even were in any harms way in their entire career.

Well, I can personally attest that they've developed one-way force fields that allow gun barrels and bullets to poke OUT of the side of the submarine, while preventing the ocean from flooding in.... As the only, singular member of the nation's most elite spec ops group("Alpha Force"), I was privy to these top secret technologies. 😎
Much respect for these men and their combined decades of service to our country! I was the lead flight attendant on a Blackhawk helicopter in Korea, Iraq, Kuwait, and several other places that nobody here has the security clearance to discuss...
@@alexnunezramos1720 I just couldn’t help myself, lol! Just to think that a week ago, I was hanging with all my brothers at the American Legion, burning thousands of American flags in a flag retirement ceremony. Gotta remember that we spent the day before opening and folding all those flags until everyone’s arms got sore. For the ceremony itself, my first time btw, we had a group of Young Marines and Cub Scouts that were more squared away than any of these bozos in this video, lol. I also think that what these young men did was braver than what any of these bozos did. I didn’t know about the Young Marines when growing up but I can tell you that its a wonderful program for kids. It gives them an insider look at the Marines and they have the option of saying this isn’t for me or continue on to real Marine Corps bootcamp. I’m not sure if the Young Marines would of made a difference for me or not, coming from a family of West Pointers. First, I didn’t think I had what it takes to go to West Point even though I was a straight “A” student. I wasn’t like my uncles, one played the trumpet, really good too. They’re all silent keys now, I still miss them...
It’s always seals, SF, and snipers. Why doesn’t any of the fake veterans ever pick average Joe jobs like “oh yeah, I was a food service guy, cooked the best steaks in Nam, I had joes coming from all over the place to eat them” Honestly I respect experts in their field. The best cook or admin guy beats out a lot in my book.
@@bearmarco1944 Movies probably. I was an AMH in the Navy then crossrated to RM. I loved both jobs, I just didn't feel like working in hydraulic fluid all the time, plus the rate was too top heavy and making rank was near impossible in the early 90's.
Cooked the best steaks in 'Nam, huh? I wonder if he remembers the beachhead where his CO was giving him the option to surf or fight, because remember, Charlie don't surf?
From the movie “Office Space”, it’s called Flair. You have to have at least 15 pieces of flair. That guy was extra special, he had like 47 pieces of flair.
I tried 3 times to join as soon as I was 18 its all I wanted as a child and highly respect anyone who serves but never ever would I pretend to be someone I am not or disrespect anyone who served. Thank you to all who served
My cousin really wanted to join the army when he was in school. But abusive parents drugs, alcohol and eventually dropping out of school in 7th or 8th grade eventually landed him in prison for 2ed degree murder of his father in a case that has always been believed to have been committed by his mother.
I love it, they never act like your average marine or something, they always have to bee some Seal Team Six/SOF deployed in every recorded battle in History with 600 confirmed kills in a single day with their chest looking like a trinket market
Fun fact- if you wash out of Submarine Door Gunner School they make you a helicopter periscope crewman or kosho's assistant. Depends on your ASSHAT score.
My Dad was a Vietnam Vet and it was the hardest thing just for him to answer general questions. He always told me real soldiers dont go around bragging about what they did. This kind of stuff drives him crazy.
I've been out of the Navy for over 35 years. So therefore I haven't kept up with all the uniform changes and would have a hard time telling what is legit and what is not. Some are really obvious and some are not. I used to wear old woodland camo pants I picked up at Gun shows and surplus stores because they were really good work pants, tough and cheap. People would ask me if I was a Marine and I would tell them, no I scored too High on my Asvab. Then immediately tell them, I was a proud Squid. After 9 11, I stopped wearing them so people wouldn't mistake me as a recent Soldier or Marine and thank me for something I didn't do. I do wear my Navy Veterans ball cap, as a result, I have had a few Homeless Veterans reach out to me as a fellow Brother to talk to, which is what us older guys should be doing. People have Thanked me for my service and I will tell them, I appreciate it but the only real Danger I was ever in was running out of beer and money in the Philippines said with a chuckle. I really hope that many of these young Veterans find the peace they deserve and earned. God Bless
I've heard quite a few stories from bubbleheads about the Philippines. Finally convinced one guy that his "fiance" was scamming him, we found out through some guys that were still active on the boats that she was married with 4 or 5 rugrats, thankfully the bubblehead had only sent her about $5000 for all of the "corrupt customs officials" that she had to "bribe". Apparently after Subic Bay closed, Ukraine became the "new Philipines" for those love sick guys looking to be scammed. Thank you for your service!
I was in a classified position for a while, submarine’s, my mission was to make sure that the screen door was kept closed at all times. I was also a door gunner in that submarine. Dont tell anyone.
...right ok, so did you work on special projects as well after that mission on the sub like this guy at Area 51 2:47? Just asking, you don't have tell me anything top secret if you don't want to but what other things have you done in the military?
I bet you were also on the highly trained submarine SWAT Team armed with the latest high tech fly swatters to smash those enemy mosquitos that got through the screen door. Don't worry, I won't tell anyone.
I think most of these people are mentally dissabled, I kinda feel bad for them. The ones that piss me of are the ones trying to gain something and know what they are doing.
He's also wearing US Army Military Intelligence officer branch insignia. That insignia was also used in the original Battlestar Galactica as Viper Pilot collar pins. He truly is a 'Space Cadet'!
Which, to be honest, makes the legit soldiers who bother the mental cases look like the worst kind of cowardly bullies, the antithesis of all the principles the Armed Forces should instil in its recruits.....
I have to admit that I fully expected you to go apeshit on these people like they do in most of the other ones I've seen and I'm so glad you didn't. It's refreshing to see someone just laughing at all the inconsistencies in their stories. Thank you for the content!
I was active duty Navy from 1982-2002. I used to see these guys once in a while. I always wonder what would cause someone to lie like they do. My favorites are the guys with an officer hat and rank insignia and also wearing enlisted stripes on their arms. You’d think they’d do a little research first.
There are some people who are genuinely unwell. However there are those who try to use the uniform and patches/ribbons/ medals to gain respect or something like a military discount or veterans perks

There’s also perks like a military discount which is usually in the realm of 10% so it saves a bit of money
I have met a few folks who flunked out of SF and SEAL training and I have great respect for those people for being honest and for trying. I grew up in Okinawa and we had Field Day at school every year when the SF guys would come over and along with the Biy Scouts they would build some cool stuff such as towers and bridges. I certainly find truth in this. My brother's the one who served, and most of his stories have less to do with military operations and more to do with his experiences with his fellow soldiers. In fact, I couldn't really tell you what my brother does in the Army, but I can tell you that "Smith" hates mayo on his hot dogs, that "Ericks" got smoked for accidentally telling his CO to "eat a d*ck", that "Johnson"'s Jamaican accent comes out when he's angry, and that my brother's CO was trying not to laugh as he checked in on my brother on the radio after seeing him fall on his ass on the cameras he was monitoring.

Again, what proof did you bring to the table: only yourself. Yeh that sounds like what comes from the liberal and RINO university people these days: phoniness with no credible sources to back up their claims. I'm sure you kissed lots of feet too, to get the billionaires' trickle-down jobs, dollars, and acceptance. The bible says it's better to store up your treasure in heaven than to store it up on earth where thieves and such can take it away, as is happening now with covid checks, business lock-downs and more. We found out he was really a cook in army in Vietnam. So sad, wasn't a bad guy, just a bull shipper.

@@dexta32084exactly. Anyone who served in any capacity under any circumstance deserves respect for said service. Especially during the times of the draft, when people dodged it for myriad reasons.
Its simple. Go around talking about yourself and trying to be the center of attention telling people how cool you are! Though people may mistake you for a Cav Scout instead of a civilian.
@THAT GUY oh dear, it seems that you have taken my dry humour seriously😕 However, you have discussed some very good points that can be helpful. I'm also an Australian Veteran just to clarify a bit more. I became a counsellor and help people along with the veteran community with many issues. I've had quite a few Vets who get stuck on that old saying "The Army trained me to be a soldier but didn't train me to be a civilian" well, there is no training to be a civilian, it's not a title that is earned it's just a word. The main issue is qualifications and skills and how they can be adapted to a new life outside. I'm not sure how it goes in the U.S but in Australia, we can have our qualifications mapped over to civilian and they can show what types of jobs a person may be suited for. Unfortunately mine were security and counter-terrorism occupations, which didn't suit the injuries I sustained before my discharge. So I had to go back to the drawing board and find a new life on my own (which many of your points highlight) Australia doesn't have a G.I Bill so education can be limited for some Vets (money wise) to diploma level. When we're in, there is a "higher power" looking after career progression and you're spot on when you said all the resources are taken care of and we have to learn to depend on ourselves more. Hard for many Vets to do when they have mental health issues clouding their decision making skills along with added pressure to get employed, take care of family or whatever they individually face. Thank you.for taking the time to comment and add some real, no nonsense advice. I hope some people who click on this thread read what you wrote and it helps them🙂

These people are soooo Special. They alone can defend the country from every threat in the universe.
Right? That first guy basically was with the MIBs.
His mos was grounds. You know, when the co yells for the coffee. He really got the kick back assignment, makin the coffee.
These people put in so much effort for a ridiculous story, it would have been less effort to join the service. SMH. I get embarrassed as a civilian nurse for the army when people thank me for my service. I explain that I work for the army, I’m not in the army. I love my job ♥️
Every civilian I ran across while in was super friendly and loved their jobs. Thanks for putting up with the youngsters and their antics. I surely was one.

Keeping it real!
True. But one thing the military wont except everyone . No excuse to be a scammer but yea i would of love to join but couldn't . Just to you're point .
Even though you are not military what you do for us is extremely important and greatly appreciated. So thank you for what you do ma'am.
That second dude is definitely a different type of seal he has ascended the seals he is now a manatee😂
🤣 Sea Lion 7
@@zincpvp 😂
He has expanded from SEAL Team 7, to Walrus Warrior 1.
@@luxonlex4453 😂I love that😂
LMAO
I worked with a guy that told others that he was a sniper in Vietnam as I listened to the story he was reciting the first chapter of Carlos Hathcocks book. I didn't say anything but I wish I had. He was very tight with the boss and I needed the job. A couple of years later i told that story to a friend and he told me the same guy told him that he flew the rear seat as a pilot on a F 16. We found out he was really a cook in army in Vietnam. So sad, wasn't a bad guy, just a bull shipper.
Those bullshit artists are funny as hell but can definitely roll you for your job with all the hot air
The saddest part of that is being a cook in Vietnam is enough to earn all my respect in and of itself.
What's bad about being a cook? At least he was in Nam. He obviously thought it wasn't enough to earn respect which is a pity.
Most of these scumbags weren't anywhere near the military.
This guy was more than them by cooking, an important field.
@@dexta32084exactly. Anyone who served in any capacity under any circumstance deserves respect for said service. Especially during the times of the draft, when people dodged it for myriad reasons.
We needed the cooks to! So no reason to lie. We were glad to see the cooks. He'll much more so then anything else.
As a Veteran, I have a hard time pretending to be a Civilian😜
Its simple. Go around talking about yourself and trying to be the center of attention telling people how cool you are! Though people may mistake you for a Cav Scout instead of a civilian.
@@aleksfoxtrot8044 So what I get out of that is I should do Crossfit, or become a vegan😜 oh heck! I'm doomed! BAHAHAHA🤣
I hope some people who click on this thread read what you wrote and it helps them🙂
Stolen... citizenship?
Ain't it the truth? I wish I could shake off some of the bothersome habits.
As someone with an extensive career as a software engineer I can’t help but laugh about the notion of someone impersonating an IT worker…
We keep it under our hat for a good reason. How much free work are we willing to do 😆
The neighbor or friend or family member; "I heard you work with computers. Can you fix my iron or toaster or 30 year old am radio or lawnmower or television or etc etc.'
?
But never, not once, not ever do you hear 'can you help with my computer?' 'I'll pay you.'
Then your friend or neighbor or family member will take the PC or Mac to Best Buys. They will plug in a loose wire and charge 150 dollars.
The kicker is when they have to tell you about the deal they got from Best Buy. sigh
Sounds like something a stolen IT valour dev would say. Where were you during the Meme Wars of Reddit?
Hang on I know nothing about IT other than dealing with them at a Fortune 500 company, but I’m going to try my best.
“ have you tried unplugging it and plugging it back in?”
“ it appears our software update has destroyed everything you need to operate. We’re going to roll those changes back and install the previous version.”
Fake Hackers
These guys always have the absolute maximum of experience, training, and valour. When they signed up they went straight to the most elite sections of special forces
Well to be fair to special forces, it’s not everyday that someone joins the US military after being orphaned and found by the French Foreign Legion in the desert at age 5, and then training with them for 13 years before immigrating to the US after saving a marine unit in Iraq by single handedly killing an ISIS military group with nothing but a toothpick
Yeah they never seem to be the cook or the quartermaster.
Thanks for the laughs, brother!😂
