Very nice layout, great tour. Some wonderful scenes, that shows the advantages of N scale. I'm considering a small N scale shelf layout myself, so very helpful. Thanks for sharing.
Sorry for the late reply. I must have missed the notification. Thanks for the nice comments. You can do a lot in N scale and it’s so much better than it was 20-30 years ago. I’m glad you found it helpful. Stay safe!
Thanks for the tour of the layout. I know what you’re saying about trains not running where they did at one time. I like the way you have the plexiglass around the layout . I’m building a 4’ by 7’ 6” n scale layout i plan to put plexiglass around the front and over top with background around the rest. Thanks for sharing. Have a good day. Keep on railroading !
Hey Thom!! That is an awesome layout you have going on!! The detail and operations you have I enjoy very much not to mention the story behind it all!! Thank you for the tour and adventures you have with your layout. Take care and stay safe. Happy modeling!! -Jason
Good job !!!! Thanks for naming the industries for us. Now I have destinations to send cars to down that way out of my Parkersburg WV yard ... P-burg - Athens - and now Chillicothe. All in 1971. Gotta have a local to run down and back.
My older brother graduated from there. I lived in P-burg 1965-71, joined the Navy and ended up in the Twin Cities. Came to my senses in 2009 and moved back HOME. Here to stay. My family has deep roots here. Let's keep in touch one way or another.

Thank you for the tour. Excellent narration and explanation. Looking forward to see how the change in JMRI will effect the operations. Thank you for sharing and stay safe.
Thanks for the tour Thom. Maybe your downed tree came in with the last storm??? Well probably not. Take care and looking forward to the new operation format.
That tree was a mystery. I have never seen a cat on my layout but there is always that chance that Tux might try it. Keeping my fingers crossed that he doesn’t. Stay safe!
@@thomplacier677 As long as you don’t change anything, you won’t have to do another. But most model railroaders can’t keep from changing their layout.😉
Seriously though, I sometimes have a similar difficulty when playing some games on Xbox. The pan up/down is often opposite of my inclination. I've found that there is usually a setting to accommodate me.
Lots of times they have scrap pieces in their cutting area. Just have your dimensions with you. I think it’s 1/8” thick. Be careful drilling holes , it cracks easy.

Thank you for the tour!!! Thank you for taking us on your incredible journey from concept to layout.
I appreciate it Ian. Have you ever gone anything with the SW7? Someone asked me the other day how it was running and I told them that I had sold it.
@@thomplacier677 I have it still, I honestly haven’t ran it yet. I need to get a test track up and running. I still need to paint it

Thanks Jason. I enjoy the research in the hobby as well as modeling and operations. Stay safe!
I don't know how I missed this Thom!
Some great ideas for me as per usual, especially the pexi glass covers.
They help a lot. I generally don’t use them everyday, but if I’m traveling they are hanging up there.
Thanks for the feedback, Michael. Stay safe!
@@thomplacier677 And I always thought that your yard office was the BLMA one and not scratch built
@@michaellee9975 it was at first but I decided to scratchbuild one using the BLMA roof.
Thanks Thom for the layout tour. You truly show how much you can do (and complete) in a small space. Stay safe!

Hi Thom. Good morning my friend.
You have a really nice layout.
Thanks Johnathan. Have a great day and stay safe!
I really enjoyed the layout tour, Thom. Your modeling skill is terrific; & I particularly like the Cedar Heights Clay Co. compound.
That’s probably the modeling scene that I am the most satisfied with myself. Thanks for the compliments. Stay safe!
Excellent idea with the covers!
Thanks Jason. Hope you’re doing well. Stay safe!
Outstanding! Amazing talent!
Thank you, Dave. I enjoy the hobby and I hope it shows in the amount of care and thought that I put into it. Stay safe!

Thank you Thom for the Layout tour.

Thanks for watching and the nice comments. I’m expanding along another wall now. Have a great evening and stay safe!
What was the Dimensions of the Plexi in stock? Did you have to cut it or found a good size?

Thanks for the great tour.
Your gimbal seems rock steady. Or did you have it mounted on something? What’s the make and model?
Great modeling!
Thanks. It’s a BENRO 3XS mounted on a tripod. No way I could hold it by hand that steady. Stay safe!
Good morning which you have contributed to. Enjoy your coffee and donuts.
I’m at work and went to the cafeteria do had some biscuits and gravy. Donuts are a weekend thing for me.😁
