Hey Thom! It’s Pat O’Connor, not sure how my name changed but I’ll have to fix that. It’s been a while, just getting caught up from the past couple months worth of videos. The layout is looking great and seems to be operating just as great. You sound how I feel, been fighting it all week and still going. Feeling a bit better today, but still a long ways to go. A good friend of mine is Japanese and of course also a model railroader. He started me down the rabbit hole of Kato Japanese equipment. They do have some beautiful stuff. Get some rest this weekend, looking forward to the next one.
@@CHOPZ-Bricks Hi Pat. Clinic gave me a couple of prescriptions, hopefully rest and medicine will knock this out. I am not really interested in foreign railroads. The stuff is beautifully made, but just looks weird to my eye. Hopefully he won’t be upset that I’m modifying it. If I don’t, it would just stay in the package though. Going to lay down for a bit. Enjoy the weekend and stay safe!
From the sound of your voice, you should have stayed in bed, slept this off and issued a rerun. (An oldie but a goodie.) I do really enjoy your using so many different camera angles; the new views of the buildings and streets keep our interest up. As for the S L O W running speed, I imagine the conductor/switchman walking along to throw the switched or couple/uncouple cars and you are right on. We are hoping for a quick recovery for Jazzie. Thank you for sharing.
@@craigcorson1235 Good morning, Craig. I actually ran the trains on Sunday right before I got sick. All I had to do was narrate it. Thanks for your nice words. Good morning Thom, Really sorry to hear you have been sick all week and a tough work schedule. Hope you, your wife and Jazzy all doing ok today. Try to take it easy this weekend. Really hope Jazzy is doing better. Enjoyed the different angles in the video today. Will be interesting to see the Kato unit when finished. And geez…. even the Alco not feeling well too. I don’t think we’ve even had 3 inches of snow here in the western suburbs of Chicago all season, pretty amazing. Stay safe and hope you feel better soon. Scott
@@kahunatiki6498 Good morning Scott. I came home from work early yesterday. Started getting sweaty and light-headed. Covid test was negative. I’m going to a walk-in clinic in a little while. Seem to be a little better but I need to be sure I’m ok for next week. Ellen is coughing a lot, going to get some meds while I’m out. Jazzy doing much better, thanks. Seems to be her old self. We may actually touch 65 a couple of days this upcoming week. Much milder. Glad to see the snow going away. I might include a couple of pictures of the Kato stuff if I do a mid-week layout update. Well here we are about 2 days later so I hope you and Jazzy are doing some better and maybe your wife escaped the bug. We have warmed up a lot with a high in the low 70's on Monday. We are still deep into packing up but it's getting closer to being done.
