Every 2005 metalcore head is happy right now
Graduated in 05. I'm super stoked
Same@@peterharrell7305
'07 grad- there's timeless sounds and albums. While this is a fair representation of what ATR's roots and has been refined, I'd rather just re-listen to their old stuff. Not that I don't like new stuff. Been listening to every new BTBAM album they've come up with.
I'll listen to this, but if I want nostalgia, I'll just listen to the og. I'd rather something new.
Stupid pumped!!
we need more from those 2008 riffs! there are some good modern metalcore tracks too, but nothing is better then killswitch, all that remains or the old as i lay dying songs!
"don't ask for the cover, I quit guitar" Fuggin lol!
I had to pause and laugh for 2 minutes straight
Anthony Barone and Jason Richardson together is insane
Right, I never imagined going from Beneath the Massacre and Shadow of intent to a metalcore band for Anthony, but I love that he's able to still keep the drums a key feature without feeling the need to do 300 bpm blast beats the whole time (which I love, but that's just not really in metalcore lol)
Yeah, I didn't realize these two were in the same band until now... Anthony Barone is also the drummer for Babymetal, and I went one of the Babymetal/Dethklok shows last year and Jason Richardson was the opener.
@@metalhead2221 All That Remains probably one of the few metalcore bands that incorporate faster bpm drum parts in their songs. Especially with modern metalcore, fast, galloping double kicks are seldom utilized. So yeah, Anthony Barone may seem overqualified but still a good fit for the band.
SO insane. At first I didn't realize it was Anthony and then I thought I recognized his style. looked it up and sure as shit its Barone. Such a good drummer. AND with Richardson. Bruh they sound so good.
The double kicks on the drums are doing WORK
Machine🦿🤯
They have ever since Fall. The first album was a bit lacking on the bass. But that was one of my favorite features. The spasmodic use of the double kick was fun for me in 2006. I'm really glad he's here doing what made ATR's sound and elevating it. Awesome choice with an awesome drummer.
the drummer was former shadow of intents drummer... boi is DRUMMIN
@@studduck990shannon lucas RIP
@@DahCaliber this exactly, Melancholy was a hell of an album and his drumming elevated all of it.
*Phil Labonte's voice sure aged like fine wine.*
He sounds amazing!
Couldn't agree more. He sounds fantastic!
he needed some time to recover, but it's great that he's back doing what he should be doing, not Country.
I don't like his singing on this, way too much and too hard tried, I don't mind big choruses or singing here and there but this is too much like in past 3-4 albums. He has nice voice but it's not working for me here.
@@yelonasable👎
Definitely sounds like a modernized not dated version of fall of ideals. Jason incorporates his own sound but still keeping it within that ATR vibe. Really solid. Cant wait for the rest of the record
Bro, you made this EXACT comment on the ATR music video. Did you think it was really worth posting twice? Especially considering that you didn't bother fixing your typos 😂
@Duck_Sevendust another sevendust fan let's gooo 🤟 and ya jason is so much better than adtr new stuff adtr are now trash lmao 🤣

Yep facts, I don't understand how people are saying this is "OG early 2000's metalcore" has hints of it, but sounds nothing like it. Sounds way more modernized than "OG Metalcore" lol
All That Remains and Killswitch got me into Metalcore
Takes me back to the days of senior year highschool and early college driving my 1995 Camaro with the t-tops out blasting ATR on CD. (Graduated 2010)
Killswitch and Trivium and Avenged put me on to Metalcore!

I hope Killswitch can deliver something different and more inspiring for their upcoming album.
I had no idea how much i missed these guys, now Killswitch needs to drop something and 2024 is complete. Amazing single, 100% album to wait for
I just miss Jones being with Killswitch
Killswitch new album is ready so hopefully get a single soon! 🤞🏼🤘🏼
Killswitch has stated that they are working on a new album
Killswitch takes 4 years minimum to drop new albums lol 😢
The only way I’d look forward to a new Killswitch album is if Howard miraculously returned for it
'Overcome' was an absolute classic of an album
I think it god a bad rep at the time because they leaned more into the cleans, but I loved Fall of Ideals and Overcome, For We are Many was pretty good, and my interest in later albums kind of tapered off after that when they got explicitly more poppy, but if we're getting a modern take on Fall of Ideals kind of metalcore, I'm back in.
For we Are Many in my opinion was better but Overcome was a fucking banger
Overcome is where they started to lose me honestly. Couple good tracks on it but overall kinda disappointing
For me overcome Is perfect as much as fall of ideas
The chorus has the same melodic singing with gunfire bass drum as This Calling and that post chorus as Not Alone, i love it
Dude yes, I noticed the exact same thing when I heard it
Metal drummers are exactly why I have 1300 watts going to a 10 in my trunk.
That isn't blowing a 10 out of the box? Lol
I have a 15 and 2 10s.
Keep it classy fellas. Two 12s and A big amp turned down to 25%.
That's the only way to keep it from overheating in fla
I have a 2200 Watt and 3 10s lol double kicks are the best
10s are better for metal than 12s.
Jason Richardson making Melodic Metalcore cool again, less gooo!!!

Fall of Ideals is in my top five as well. I still jam that album from start to finish
Phil has such an iconic voice too man! So pumped that they’re back like this. I remember binging Fall of Ideals in high school
Nik: Finally, Some good fucking food
Holy fucking shit this sounded so nostalgic. 11/10. I adore this.
Fall of Ideals, Overcome, and For We Are Many is the perfect metalcore trilogy
This Darkened Heart? That's my second favorite album after Fall of Ideals.
@@xb0xisbetter excuse me. This Darkened Heart, The Fall of Ideals, Overcome and For We Are Many is the perfect metalcore QUADRILOGY
That riff sounding like "Not Alone" going straight into the "This Calling" bit at 5:08 onwards which has the same cadence and even similar sounding words at one point (the part where he says "I will not forget this **tragedy, my strength's** been tested")
I had to listen a few times to convince myself it wasn't a straight reprisal of those lines, lol
Also the kick drums in the chorus are almost identical to this calling. Starts out super fast and then slows down for the second half of the chorus. I’m not complaining though. I love it 😆
@@Dream_elixir_band haha yeah. I pulled up Fall of Ideals after listening to this song and noticed that too. The speedy kicks and then half-speed or triplets or whatever for every other half. That album definitely still holds up and I'm looking forward to this new release
1000000% has little bits and pieces of that whole album! But I got MAJOR this calling vibes! 🙌🏻
Anthony Barone the drummer is also in BABYMETAL
That not only reminded me why I used to love ATR (and still do) but....JFC it was perfect. Everything about it. The insane work on drums, the beautiful riffs, and Phil showing he's still more than got what it takes.
Anthony Barone and Jason together is a crazy combo in itself, let alone with the OG's ATR!!
All that remains- two weeks is what got me into music. They are one of, if not my favorite band and the fact they are back... Fuck. Yes.

I listened to the song minutes ago, and when it finished, I had to stay sitting in my chair looking into the void trying to collect the million pieces of my mind. It took me a while to put myself back together after it, and it had not happened to me in years. I had forgotten what it was like to have my mind blown.

I love this band, playing six IS another story
That track makes me feel like I'm back in high school. Loved it. Oli'd be proud for sure. Even on the ATR albums I didn't like I always loved to hear Oli's playing and solos. His use of chromatics was also so unique to me.
Anthonys work in Beneath The Massacre and SoI are amazing but this is on another level when it comes to glue the band together, this kind of drumming fits ATR PERFECTLY now when Jason is in it.
This track put such a huge smile on my face, really stoked for the things to come!
I've listened to this song at least 20 times today. Loving it. 🤘
All That Remains was my go to back in high school and after "For We are many" I haven't been listening to them. Hearing this track reignited my love for ATR and I am beyond hyped for this album. Welcome back boys!
I remember seeing ATR with The Human Abstract and Trivium at Amos’ South End many years ago. Every member of every band signed autographs, took pictures with every one who hung out after the show. One of the coolest experiences at a concert ever.
this feels so reminiscent of, like, trivium. from phil's vocals to the technicality and speed of the drums, the melodies, everything just screams sin and the sentence and it's SO cool
I got to see these guys back in the late 00s and they were amazing. They headlined with Chimera, Light This City, and Black Tide supporting. Phil is an awesome dude and I cant wait to hear this new album!
You GOTTA check out the new Starset track, Brave New World
The drums of the chorus reminds me of the chorus of"this calling" and the dual guitars like he said " not alone" vibes. Its so good.
The solo took me right back to 2004-2005.
And the drums are banging.
Heck yeah, Phil Labonte is also a regular guest/co-host on Timcast and I heard he is working on a song with Tim Pool

they basically unleashed Jason. Great so far!
The songs I hear mixed in is not alone, undone, a tiny vibe of the probably won't end well with the chorus, a tiny feeling of everything is wrong, and highs the gives me the vibes of this calling. Been to long and was sad all day til I found out one of my favorite bands of all time is back, not to mention my old band was a metal core band that was like a combo of motionless in white and all that remains.
I am so happy right now. As a drummer during the peak of 2000s metalcore, hearing the SAME double bass patterns in the chorus of this song as in the chorus of their old song "This Calling," I couldn't be happier.
Love the work these guys put into their instrumental performance. Great comeback track 🤘
Absolutely incredible. Between this and "Death Empress" from Synestia and Disembodied Tyrant, today has one of the best new release Fridays
This Darkened Heart is my favorite ATR album, That breakdown felt like that era. Sick.
My brother blasting all that remains when I was in high school when we shared a bedroom is the reason why I’m a metal fan today. Fall of Ideals is still one of my favorites.
I'm sold. This is right up my alley. I love this stuff.
Have you heard the latest Starset ? It's heavy. Some people think they're incapable of heavy but...I think it is.
I agree with you man!! he need to react to the new starset
I love the homage riffs paying tribute to some of the legendary riffs Oli wrote back in the day
This song definitely has This calling vibes in the chorus with the drums. And that post breakdown riff is ABSOLUTELY inspired by Not Alone. It makes me happy that recognize what the fans want
When I first saw the music video, for a split second I was like is that anthony on drums?! Sure enough it is. I just know if you put him and Jason together they are going to take this band to a higher level. They have a killer line up! I can't wait for this album!

The band with my childhood guitar hero Oli, who made me pick up a guitar with Fall of Ideals and especially Overcome; now added my adult guitar hero Jason who makes me want to quit guitar. Life is good! That track was everything I'd hoped for and more. The new album may be with those two absolutely incredible albums.
Nik! You need to react to STARSET’s latest single, Brave New World!!
It’s interesting that after Jason leaves a band, they stop playing the songs he wrote because none else can play them.
I've been checking lately every couple of months are there any new tracks from All That Remains, double checking Jason's Instagram page are there any news related to new ATR songs. I was just craving for a new material.
And boy, that drop just hit me in the balls. This is an insane comeback from the true godfathers of a metalcore genre.
Arguably even bigger than "My Own Grave" by As I Lay Dying. I can't describe in words my feelings just yet. I need couple of dozens of re-listens of this masterpiece on repeat.
But I can assure you it has got to become an instant classic of metalcore. Just because of a such unique combination of every single aspect of song writing.
I'm so happy Jason finally has put his hands on ATR new material. Can't wait for the new album. It's gonna be huge 100%.
