You know when to bargain when it’s just greedy vendors and when it’s back road vendors you gladly pay the price they say and often give them more $ or any extras you have. I don’t now how you can be so friendly when the locals are just constantly laughing at you. But you take it in stride and always are happy and joyful. Much love and be safe Harold! You show a lot of us parts of the world and cultures some of us we’ll never get to see. This I thank you for and for all then smiles, laughs and cheerfulness you give me watching these.

@Areli your local McDonald’s you eat at is most likely the same cleanliness. Seeing this only puts you off because you see it prepared in front of you.
@Cass Cass I'm from Zanzibar and the prices are true I recently got one made fro my house. I paid 1.8 mil around 800USD and that was discounted coz I knew the guy that was making them. These doors are expensive because the timber is imported from mainland(mahigany) and that's what makes it expensive.
You have visited my birth place which I left in 1964. It was amazing to see your trip in this video and really enjoyed every minute of it. Thanks. See you in next video in Stone town. I saw my house which is i Makunazini near the church.
This might be my favorite video of yours Harald. I love how you just jump into the culture and hang out with the locals. I can't wait to travel the world again and do the same! Great content, as always!
"People look. They look really confused. Then I say, "Hello, Jambo." And then... oh, the milk man." I thought Harald was making a joke in reference to his skin but he actually passes by a guy carrying milk on a bike. LOL
"Those merchants could get 5-6 times the price in the U.S." - Sure I don't doubt that they'd cost more in the U.S. but most of that price hike reflects shipping costs, import fees, state sales tax, salary for sales staff and shop rental. Doubt these guys would make any more by shipping and selling in the US. Then there's potentially the cost of obtaining special permits for the wood etc. I know this is the case in Europe where we've banned the import of teak for example unless it comes with a special permit from a licensed producer.
@Cass Cass He is just a truly good man. Imagine we had this kind of attitude running countries; for better or for worse -- look out for the people. And over generations, we have failed at that. But Harald shows me, there is still some hope.
Love how Harold always keeps supporting all the locals, even if he won't eat or drink whatever the person is selling, he'll make sure to buy his stuffs so that the person gets a sale and then gives the double or even more than the asking price, which of course brings a huge smile to that vendors face. That's what shows how Harold is so caring and respectful towards locals especially, he makes their days and never fails to give a hefty reward to all those who he sees as deserving 🥰

The door that you saw is called Zanzibari door and it’s very famous and mostly only made in Zanzibar; it is also very expensive as it is hand carved and made from strong wood. They usually last more then 100 years as you might have seen in stone town. 59 minute video! So awesome! Thank you Haraldo!
I was bored enough and wanted lie down, and then opened yt, first thing was on my feed is this vid, ty now I can sit back and relax for one hour
Just got back from taking kids to school now time for a coffee and chill and watch this for an 1hr 👍
Yup!
Great work Harald. I love your ability to find unique 'treasures' for content like those wood craftsmen creating their amazing pieces. Incredible. Your ability to capture the daily life of people wherever you go, and to do that for your viewers makes me very happy! You even bring joy to most people you encounter, not to mention while biking uphill! I love you, Harald, you are a rare Treasure, yourself!
Herald, you are a beast man. I enjoyed every second of this. Similar to when you were riding the mountains of Vietnam on the motorbike. Classic stuff! Cheers 🍻
faki faki's broken helmet will very much complement your new bike haraldo!
He is such a down to earth person , really genuine guy
That bag tho 😂
Roads are in better condition through a jungle in Zanzibar than my town here in the UK
Its cheaper to make it like that..i have seen streets with bricks that can take days to place
"jamboooo" must be one of the nicest sounding greetings all over the world!
Harald! That was an absolute joy to watch. Still being in Travel Restrictions here makes it even more enjoyable. Excited to see your return journey 🙌🏽
Zanzibarr🇹🇿🇹🇿🇹🇿where is the faxi Taxi's??😌😌😌
Sick ride, Harald! That's the ladies magnet bicycle.
Harald, I salute you. To get on a bicycle and cycle in an unfamiliar country for 30+ kilometres. You got guts and gumbo!
19:20 love the random Korean newspaper wrapping for the bread
I've binge watched all of Harald, all of Bald and Bankrupt. I'm down to watching repeats now. So good.
Sabbatical is worth a look
Loving them as well.
So wholesome so many moments of pure joy on their faces, enjoying the simple things in life. Like riding a bike in another country
:)
I always come to watch Harald when I get too much soviet from Bald. Glad there are new videos coming out.
It bodes well for the springtime, I hope.
This will go down as one of Haraldo's greatest adventures!
Harald doing what the viking does best. Love these kind of series where you chat to random locals as a solo traveller.
As a cyclist myself in truly have enjoyed this entire video Vlog. This was so very awesome and inspiration to me. Freedom , travel and passion
Whenever i get notification from Mr Herald i don't hesitate to watch even i am busy..Shoutout to all the Heraldos 😊😊

This reminded me of many places. I was there and in Mwanza, Shinyanga and Dar-es-Salaam for the elections in 1995 and spent almost 6 months. I love Tanzania and you know how to show it. Best wishes :)
A modest, circa 20 mile bike ride, on an old rusty bike in a part of the world that truly looks epic! Brilliant!
Hi - more bicycle rides for sure! Great way to get around!
I like how he keeps asking locals and is friendly to everyone even though he's got a GPS
You can't trust an offline GPS :) Tried it in China and it worked very bad.
Respect to Harold , at first when found u . wasn’t sure about your personality sarcasm ect , but over time started loving the vids and your personality, really enjoy your travel vlogs man , top man , living the right way seeing the world experiencing different cultures, living how I want to be ,
Yeah same here many years ago ,but happily realised there's nothing wrong with just being yourself ,and that's all that Harald's doing. Been thoroughly hooked on his crazy antics ever since. He really shows parts of life and experiences many others don't and part of his charm is trying to communicate and be friendly with people in circumstances where many others wouldn't even try .A lesson for us all in breaking down barriers.👍
Yeah I thought at first he’s a bit arrogant and cocky, well maybe he is a bit, but his content is good nether the less.
I was first on Balds channel and was skeptical about watching Harold at first now I mainly watch herald lol
@@MarksTournaments pretty much same here , started off liking bald An balds content a lot more at first but same Harold grown on me and I find bald abit boring sometimes specially in soviet places there not for me really then places
@@MrMarko4 I understand similar here , and the sarcasm sometimes , I don’t know maybe I was just to sensitive and didn’t understand Harold , really love and enjoy he’s travel vids and posts very much , I look forward to them. Was abit sad when he didn’t post for afew months missed him
Thinks he's getting 1 loaf of bread and then ends up getting 5...
then he left it to the woman and bought another one later in the video ahahhah
Think he instantly regretting buying from that man
The guy knew he wanted 1 bread..but pretended like he didnt know....so he force harrold to buy 4 piece so he can make more money
I always compare you to bald but after watching this, you definitely take the cake! I’ve rode a BMX bike 3 hours without recording and it was tough. Nice athletic journey! Hats off bro
I actually watched this entire thing and i think i could def travel like this. Freaking awesome man.
When I was about 7 or 8, I put a stick through my front tire spokes while going down hill to see if it would break; ended up with stitches in my head
you are a man of science! Great experiment
